When will the entity copy released by H2 interactive get the online update of version 1.1? It has been a week!

I just registered to say that I bought the Switch version earlier today and, while the game downloaded, I came to think that I should have looked up the Switch issues a bit more.
I found this thread and some youtube videos and thought I had made an error.
Now I am roughly an hour in, have beaten the first boss and I'm very pleased. This is a fun game to play, I had no delay issues so far, the graphics are noticeably blurred but far from bad. I have found many things I liked.
Thank you, for the game and for any future updates.

So I finally managed to finish the game, but currently I don't think I will start the second run or spend my time to get all the shards to their MAX level - not with all the random crashing, occasional lagging and annoying loading time when switching the scenes.
I kind of understand why Switch version is not as good: first, it is not planned in the original schedule as "Switch" was still not a game console back that time, and second, for a half-portable console, I know it is more difficult to get the balance point between graphic and performance, and I do not really expect it to be (graphically) as good as PS4 or PC versions. But well, let's just say I am kind of disappointed (not pissed, just disappointed, and I mean it) by the final outcome. Let's put it mildly: the game is AWESOME, but the performance... well, could do BETTER than that.
Remember how smooth the Castlevania titles run on your GBA or NDS? I can be easily satisfied with THAT quality, but not this.
As for now, I know the dev team has a lot of things to do on their lists, for instance the second playable character. But currently I would like to suggest you focus on these problems first. No, I am not saying I expect to get a patch next day - I am a software developer myself and I know that rushing to a patch only result in a bigger disaster. But at least, the team can release some updates, or milestones, or tracking lists every 3 or 5 days, so that we are kept updated - or informed.
Last question, when will the Japanese eshop get this game? My Nintendo account is in Japanese region and apparently I cannot access any DLC with it because this game is not on shelf now (though there is no DLCs for US version as well). Yes, yes, I know I can change the region, and Konami won't be happy if this game sells good, but I just want to hear what the official solution is.

That whole not as planned thing does not fly. A lot of companies were ignoring the switch to start then it took off and they had to scramble to make games for it and many of those games started after bloodstained development and were much harder games to run and looked better and played better.
Also they should send out a survey to all switch backers. They should add all their names into the CREDITS after they gave all of them an inferior version. That at least would be something to honor all the people they burned with the inferior version who ended up funding everyone else to get a good version of the game.
How about it, a patch to add in all the switch backers regardless of tier, as a thanks for their sacrifice.

So I too opted for the Switch version, as a game like this is essential to have the flexibility to play in HH mode. However, as it is easily my most wanted game this year, ultimately the most important thing for me, is playing the best possible version of it. I AM willing to wait for the Switch version to get patched though, as I really see the Switch as the perfect console for the game. I don't even care if I have to wait 3, 6 or 9 months, hell I don't even feel bad about paying for the PS4 version as well if it gets to that, but the right home for the game is on Switch. But that is the thing, I am really worried that I will never see a Switch version living up to the standards I want for it. Crashes, loading, pop-ins, and maybe even enemy movement and framerate dips, sure, this is fixable, but the horribly grainy graphics, I am more concerned about. 720p is expected, but currently it looks like a PS4 game playing on a GameBoy Color (sorry, but it does). I asked Nintendo about it, and no refunds will be issued, as the game is currently being fixed, so... waiting it is, anyway. I can't help but having this awful flashback 20ish years ago, when I got my JPN Sega Saturn only to play JPN only games Radiant Silvergun and Symphony of the Night (after completing the later multiple times on PS). While the first game certainly did not disappoint, I was in for a nasty surprise with the later - as much as I loved the added playable characters, areas and bosses, the experience was crippled by horrible framerate dips not existing at all in the PS version, and even on a console that should be able to handle 2D games better. Oh well, to Koji and the devs. I know at this point it is no quick fix, I am a developer myself, but I wish you the best of luck optimizing the Switch version, and can't wait to see how you progress. Shantae - Half Genie Hero Monster Boy & the Cursed Kingdom Megaman 11 Cuphead All great 2 / 2,5D games running and looking crisp on the Switch, so at least it should be technically possible //

Megaman 11 (Nintendo Switch) has anti-aliasing turned OFF, which is yet another reason why the game runs at a smooth 60fps while at the same time still maintaining very crisp HD visuals. In handheld mode, it most certainly hits its target 720p resolution and stays there. Maybe if they turned anti-aliasing OFF for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night (Nintendo Switch) and updated UE4 to v4.22, I'm sure that the game's visuals AND performance can be up to the standards of other well-optimized Switch ports; in theory, they'd have room to increase the resolution + reinstate all removed effects and replace the blurry textures while still maintaining a stable 30fps without lag (even during cutscenes). Technically, they could overclock the Switch in the initial game load (perhaps to preload higher resolution image/texture data) AND ALSO during gameplay, overclock right before/during screen transitions that would usually exceed 1 second to help decrease loading times. GPU overclocks to around 460MHz while the CPU overclocks to around 1.7GHz; hopefully, they can find some way to make the two work more harmoniously when it comes to running this game.
Oh, and a new interesting video has emerged:

I've completed my playthrough of the Switch version. I feel a huge slap in the face with the product they gave me. The Switch version is completely unacceptable. At the very least, owners who can prove they have the Switch version should be given a discount code for a version of their choice. I hate the fact that I'm expected to buy the game twice for a gaming experience I should have had in the beginning.

I hate the fact that I'm expected to buy the game twice for a gaming experience I should have had in the beginning. I kinda have to agree. I was very passionate about supporting this game's development, SOTN is one of my all-time favorite games so I was happy to drop $60 on day 1 of the kickstarter. Had I known that the switch version was going to be such a graphical, gameplay, and stability downgrade from what I had seen and played of the game before release I never would have considered it and gotten the Steam version. I'm already considering selling my physical backer copy and buying the steam one, but then what happens with the DLC that's exclusively free for backers? Am I stuck getting codes for the switch version that I no longer have at that point? I'd happily take a discount for the steam version so I can at least enjoy that one while the switch version hopefully gets sorted out. It's a real kick in the balls since the game has everything I dreamed of and more and I'm stuck with a muddy looking and poor-performing imitation of what other luckier players have.

I´m Gamedeveloper and that has to be a must to have in Switch. But I think is not only that, maybe some scenarios should be redesigned to Switch (Removing some elements and using LODZ smaller models for small elements). BTW, Any ETA date for next Hot fix Patch??? Thanks!

After my game arrived on saturday, I could finally take my own impressions.. After almost 14 hours in, I started to "accept" this port... and came to the conclusion, that it's really not soooooooooo bad. It is playable and even enjoyable after some acclimation. Well the graphics were poorly donwgraded, but the gameplay is still solid. Also I never noticed any input delay and I was playing in docked mode for over 10 hours in 1 session. Plus I never encountered the so called gamebreaking fps drops.. only in the second half of Twindragon Tower, I noticed a very little discrepancy. Today I'll "meet" the guy, who even forces a PS4 Pro in the knees.. I am exited to find out, what happens on the switch. The game did crash 2 times, I think it becomes unstable after using the switch's sleepmode.. but It did even crash on PS4, so in this matter, they lying on par.

By the way, I also passed all the BOSS, although I did not feel the input delay and dropped frames, but the bad random error and graphics can not let me continue to play this game, this should not be.

Also I never noticed any input delay and I was playing in docked mode for over 10 hours in 1 session. You never noticed it because You don't have proper comparison. Side by side with other platforms it's horrid. Over 100ms. You can get use to it the same way you can get used to a slap in the face for no reason but the question is why?

ellisant That is not quite correct... psnprofiles.com/Sylver001but also it's what I meant with " after some acclimation" However.. today, for the first time, I encountered some serious slowdonws, the (optional) battle with totally not .. you know who. Made me a bit going berserk.. on PS4 the fight was cheesecake, but on switch it was driving me to an unpleasant edge ^^ I guess it definetly needs some Endgame optimization. Ironicaly the other fight I mentioned runs totally smooth on switch.. maybe the easiest (no damage) fight in the whole game.

Not sure if I'm the only switch player cannot find the Valkyrie series chest. I've been checked a few different walk-through or guides and went to the exact places showed but nothing found, at first I thought maybe it's due to the difficulty but still cannot find in hard mode. Is it only can be find in nightmare mode but haven't being mentioned?

ellisant I don't deny the problems, my point was only, that it is playable, not as many say that it's complete broken.. It depends. If we take into account the version (0.1) straight out of the box? Yeah it's pretty broken to me. Would love to see how it came down to this. Best part is what happens behind the doors but we will never know. It's not only about straight gameplay but also how they manage to misguide people (screens and gameplay from other platforms in e-shop and nintendo sites, false PR reassuring about state of the game, being surprised by the backlash etc.). A lot depends on how they will try to fix this situation. But hey! Moneys in the bank amirite? They can say now (or stay silent) whatever they want. Ultimately it will be the actions they will take from now on that matter the most.
