Ah, I forgot that was a tier! I only backed at the $60 level, and I don't currently live with any dog-shaped animals, so it's not me. If this giant dog head is indeed someone's real life companion, I'm curious to hear their reaction.

Ah boy. A few things that I want to point out that nobody has mentioned here yet it seems. Ignore the crappy screengrabs I'm on a time crunch. So first off, looks like we will be getting double jump from this dude with the name I can't be bothered to look up the spelling of. Starts with an A, you guys know. What's the tell? The nearly identical rainbow effects on the back of both Miriam and A.
Next thing up: Looks like "loot bags" instead of unique looking droops are here to stay unless it's getting changed at the eleventh hour. This one is neat, and you can see other instances of it in the trailer(s), but it looks like every platform that you can "drop down" through is a grate or a set of bars or something. Basically a floor that Miriam can drop through with plausibility instead of clipping through something solid every time. Good attention to detail. And finally, it looks like that Japanese trailer is using a later/better build compared to the US on? Which is weird? This is best seen when you look at side by sides of the dragon fight. The US one is a hot fuckin' mess with missing textures(??) and all sorts of nonsense. The Japanese one looks way more polished. Not sure where the disconnect here was. US JAP
Everything else I feel has been said, so there ya go.

You know, I thought the Japanese one looked better too, but I thought that was just because of the way they framed the shots/which ones they used, the pacing, hearing that cool-sounding language I can't understand, etc. Maybe more to it than that lol

Damn so true, the japanese build looks so much better, this is even better for me, I though the game was looking better in the american (compared to the demo build that is) one but knowing that they are ever improving in the graphics department is amazing. Hype has returned to my system.

When the game is released, I suggest everyone set aside a few hours to start the game. Spending only a few initial minutes won't do the game justice. I cannot wait!

Let's remember: GEAR: Weapons, Head, Body, Accessories, Scarves. SHARDS: Conjur Shard, Effective Shards, Directional Shards, Enchant Shards, Familiar Shards, Skill Shards. INVENTORY: Items, Food, Material, Key Items, Books(?) (you can see a tab with a book at 2018 Demo) OTHERS: Enemy List / Bestiary, Quests, Special Moves, Castle completion, Mastery of techniques, Level and EXP, Shard rank and grades, etc... There is so much stuff to do, collect and find that this game will turn into a paradise for completionists (and i am a completionist myself!)

Concerning one of those comments in that Facebook image... I'd say Bloodstained has already surpassed SotN.
Considering I've been optimistic about this project since the day I backed, I'm sure that opinion isn't too surprising coming from me. (I also think PoR & OoE are better than SotN; IGA's team has come a long way in terms of experience when it comes to developing this kind of game)

Gotta say, the other two trailers, especially the japanese one, look much better than the one we got to see first. The more I watch those trailers the more I get hyped for this game. I think the first trailer and the Japanese trailer may be from the same or at least closer timed builds. The reason I say this is because Valac has the same color scheme & design in the first trailer and the Japan trailer.

I do hope we end up getting the color scheme from the Launch and Japan trailer which definitely looks like the most recent build. Unless of course we get to customize boss color schemes which would be a first.

Pure Miriam - Thank you for all the high-quality screen-grabs. They clearly depict the many, many lighting improvements made to the game since the last demo. I suspect the next few months will seem to pass slowly as we all grudgingly wait for the game we backed to come to fruition.

Well, I might know what happened with Valac's (the big dragon) textures specifically: I should add that she brought that up unprompted, the discord wasn't talking about the boss or even graphics in general before that except the Zangetsu/Miriam scene seeming stiff. Also, potentially good news for anyone concerned about the scene with Miriam and Zangy zipping along. She said she would pass on the things that she couldn't change herself to the rest of the team. This is the same artist as the box art btw, and the Communications Manager (person you see accompanying Iga for everything).

What's encouraging here is that the visuals have improved quite dramatically, and there's still more to come. Also, whatever it is they're paying Mana , it's not enough.

WOW... I love all this hype Pure Miriam love your breakdowns! it just adds to the hype I just can't wait for this game. I have a feeling it will take months or longer for us to find everything in this game hahahah just thinking about it makes sO FREAKING AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (yeah, I exploded...I need to gather myself hahah hype overload)
Oh and Mana I know you have a ton of this... but your art doubles- even tripples the hype for this game! So, thank you its so awesome! And I would love to thank IGA, his development team, Question, 505 games and anyone else I forgot (or in my old age, can't remember) for this game. It is looking to be a fine successor to the castlevanias craved for years...

There is so much stuff to do, collect and find that this game will turn into a paradise for completionists (and i am a completionist myself!) That pretty much sums up why I backed this project in the first place. This genre is hands-down my favorite, but nothing beats the feel of settling into a good, genuine Iga-Vania game. Some games have an almost book-like quality where you become so involved that hours simply pass without you even realizing it. I can easily see myself in this situation along with a quickly-cooling pot of tea and some instant noodles on the side to minimize down-time .
