This just raises more questions.
Why are they adding more development groups? What happened to Inti? Why are we being kept in the dark about actual development progress? What is the status of the content contributors? What are the dev teams plans for the holidays? What is the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow?
I really just hope the cryptic nature of their communication isn't a cause for concern...

We've got some more news from IGA to report! This time he's here to tell you a bit about the new developers on the project, before they introduce themselves in their own words. Hello everyone! This is IGA. For this month's update, I'd like to introduce you to our new development team. First up is DICO, a studio with a long history of localization and global development work. Many of the people here are fans of my work, and they're looking forward to working on the project. We've gathered a lot of reliable core team members for the project—in fact, one of them is a talented programmer I've worked with in the past. I have high expectations for this team—since they know my previous work inside and out, it will be easy to convey exactly what I envision for the game. DICO will be on the frontline for this stage of the main development. Next up is Monobit, a group of exceptional programmers who have experience working on game engines. They'll be providing support on all technical aspects of the project. Already they've proven capable of evaluating the challenges of this project from their own point of view and providing solutions that were easy to understand and implement. We're especially impressed by their facility in creating new tools. Since we're reorganizing the development structure, our development updates may be a little bit less frequent for the moment. But with the help of these two development studios, I believe we'll be able to deliver the quality output that the team and the backers are both anticipating. I got back to him Sorry for the delay! It's been the past few months! We should be getting our update approved soon, so we'll get to more surveys after that. Yay! All's well that ends well~ Yes! Thanks again Mana! I can't wait to see what they do with my little buddy in-game!

Nice! I'm hoping that I get to actually help design my monster. The Hounds of Hell tier says they'll make an enemy out of your pet, but it doesn't really specify that i'll get to give input on the design... Maybe Mana can give some clarification. My conceptual ideas have been on this forum since the very beginning, so hopefully someone has noticed and taken note!

I find it very difficult to enjoy the demo right now because of the crouch threshold with analog stick movement. Often I will be walking in a direction and suddenly get halted by Miriam crouching. I have played a good amount of other 2D games with a controller using analog stick movement before and I don't run into a crouching issue in any of them. These games include Shovel Knight, Shantae and the Pirate's Curse, Axiom Verge, Strider, and Super Smash Brothers WiiU. Below I mocked up a diagram of what I believe would be more suitable controls based on the previously listed games. If the analog stick is moved any slightly more than 90, or any less than 270 degrees, (anywhere between those two angles) the game will register the input as crouch. I went back and tested movement in the other games I listed, and they all have a smaller crouch threshold similar to the proposed fix.v Although one may argue this game "should" be played on the d-pad, I don't think that's a valid reason to overlook tighter controls for people who prefer analog stick movement. I completely agree and had the same issues. However, I'm sure the controls are still very early and I'm confident this issue will be addressed.

Hey guys! I was at E3 today and got to check out Bloodstained! It's looking fantastic as I'm sure you've all seen. I'm more hyped than ever before and can't wait to see how the whole package comes together!!! IGA is knocking it out of the park.

Hey guys, I am one of the Hounds of Hell contributors and have a pretty good idea of what I want. I made a post about it early on, but doubt it's worth digging up at this point. I will try to give a detailed breakdown of my thoughts when I have a bit more time, but the bottom line is that I intend to memorialize my late kitty who sadly passed during the campaign (the reason I decided to back at the Hounds of Hell tier). I can't wait for you all to encounter my ferocious little buddy in the game! As Promised, here's my initial idea for a monster based on my pet cat "Kamikaze"(Kaze for short). I would like Kaze to appear to be a docile enemy at first glance. Inhabiting comfortable indoor rooms such as bedrooms, lounges, libraries etc. He would be stationary and neutral to players unless provoked, at which point he would become enraged and relentlessly attack the player with complete disregard for his own safety. If you leave him alone, he's a cozy cuddle buddy, but if you poke him you will have to deal with a raging bull. In addition he would have a small % chance to enrage regardless of the players behavior, giving him an element of unpredictability. If possible it would be extra cool if his neutral state allowed players to drop food items and trigger a "happy" animation just for fun.
Kaze - Feline Enemy (Cuddly Ball of Death) Behavior States: Neutral (Idle) - Default state > Stationary with a simple looping animation, maybe curled up into a ball with a slow waving tail. Eyes are not visible. Enraged (Attack) - Triggered by any hostile action from the player, or randomly with an extremely low % chance. > Eyes glow red and he indiscriminately charges and/or leaps at players with claws and teeth. Attack should continue until the player leaves the room, dies, or the enemy has been defeated. Happy (Bonus Flavor Anim)- If the player drops a food item, Kaze should react with a simple animation showing his gratitude. i.e. purring and walking in a circle before returning to his Idle state. This should still be subject to the small % chance to enrage. Let me know what you guys think!

ive never played with ue4 before, but sl texturing has a property called glow where the object radiates its own light source, i have the feeling that and playing with contrast is what theyre using to help make her colors pop which works great close up, however glow has the side effect of taking over the further away you get from a model and it makes colors wash out, but id need to see the file to know what is actually going on with that far off pic In UE4 this would be be an "emissive" channel of the shader. Which can be adjusted based on distance to the camera.

I wish people would put more effort into opening posts before making topics. This isn't a race Anyway: Update 35 is Live!Highlights
- Shaders and Screenshots oh my! Shaders 1 and 3 (what went into making part of that Miriam preview last update) have been mixed and matched with regards to characters and backgrounds to produce the screenshots seen in this update. Which do you all like?
- New survey is live for you to give them feedback. This will be the final time they ask for visual feedback (probably to move forward with work on the game)
