DARK SOULS. I know I have shooter marathon, I'm still about midway through Unreal. That game is long and challenging due to how enemies behave like human players. I'm dead serious. It's awesome and the weapons are awesome too.
Back to Dark Souls though, I made to Sen's Fortress and I even found a bonfire that a lot of people didn't know about. I'm debating whether or not to kindle it because I've already had to taste that place's traps to wit's end. I tried to tussle with two titanite golems, but I noticed that I was doing much less damage to them than I should have been, so I left them alone.
I've also been playing A Hat in Time. It's really good. Everyone should pick it up. To me, it's has the charm of older platformers and then some.

Yeah, it looks great. When I search for this game and the sequel, I get a whole bunch of wikis. How do I even begin to play this?

Other than the characters that were dubbed for the Japanese audience, the only character that I vaguely know from that list is Tomoe from Madoka and especially Sailor Jupiter who's my favorite sailor scout bar none. Curious about the English VAs if any. I still suggest Ron Pearlman if you can get him. As far as voice directors, Andrea Romano retired so I have no other recommendations of people who aren't already busy.

Even then, there's a free prototype you can play so you can judge for yourself. I'd say in Mega Man Zero you are a lot "lighter" in that you can do perpetual wall jumps super fast. You can't really do that here so far. Also while it's possible to kill enemies upon hitting them, you have to be strong enough to do that. Otherwise you'll be put in the battle screen. At this stage, I don't see how you can KO bosses and avoid the battle system outright to make it look like a Mega Man game either.
Still hoping for that maniac dungeon/new game plus. Then again, Lab Zero has weird ways of finding money here and there so they might just end up adding it later on anyway. It's very rare for them to underestimate a budget so that they find themselves in debt, but even then they still deliver on their promises somehow.

With how much Iga has valued speed runners as of late, this feature would be a no-brainer for him. Even if he didn't implement it at launch, you can bet that there would be enough people requesting it to be in the first patch.

It would be funny, but I can see why people wouldn't want this. I give it a maybe. Scaling a boss to be at your level is something some people have wanted for a while. Though with a game like this? It's hard to say.

My marathon might be impossible for me as far as keeping my attention fully for all the games I had planned, but I can still get the ones I mentioned done. I beat Quake 2 just now. Next up is Sin. The idea for this FPS marathon was to go by the year it was made. That way, I can see how the genre has evolved, get better at it, see if I really prefer old school to new school, and to scratch that itch. I won't bother with expansion packs, I'm going through the regular games. Sin Gold should be a tough one though. EDIT Sin Thoughts: I beat SiN gold and it was a tough one. There were a few puzzles in the beginning that I NEVER would have figured out without looking it up. One required you to "use" some bricks to escape a death trap and another required you to look up without any indication to shoot down something to progress through a level. Both of these are illogical to the point being from a point and click adventure game...and I beat Sam and Max. It's still a fantastic game and very underrated. It felt like the second half(especially the ending levels) were rushed to try and get the game out to market because they were all short. Compared to the beginning game which was intricate, detailed, and large. It's on GOG right now. There's an "episodic sequel" called SiN Episodes on steam which only got ONE episode and was cancelled due to Valve pulling the plug on the whole episodic deal they had going on at the time. What a shame, this series's downfall was Half-Life stomping out the competition(first game) and then Valve finished them off unintentionally(second game). Enough history. The next game is Turok. I'm going with the remastered version on steam. After that is Unreal, then Turok 2, and then Half-Life. If I beat all of these before holiday, I'll squeeze in Return to Castle Wolfenstein as well. EDIT 2 Turok thoughts: Turok was more of a key hunt than I expected. In fact, it felt more like a collect-a-thon than an FPS at times. I didn't get the Chronosepter, but I had enough firepower to hold my own. Not to mention I had more lives than I needed. Yes, a lives system and no quick saves. The horror... I didn't like the platforming despite it being superfluous in the end. Other than that it's a solid game. I recommend playing the remastered version if you haven't already. The game was over before I knew it. Next up is Unreal.

I took a vacation in Florida back in July. Even then I was hit with such a bad rainstorm that I didn't feel like going into my motel/hotel room at the time. I just sat in the car hoping it would subside and it did after an hour. Fun times, I hope to talk about it at some point.
Good luck guys.

Because I suppose you could label me as one of those "patient" gamers, I just finished Yakuza 4. Before that I beat Doom 1, 2(which took forever), Quake 1(which also took forever), and I guess Batman the Telltale series season 1. I still have nightmares and day dreams of dodging those ogre grenades in Quake 1. Ugh...what a ride that game was. I don't think I'll play a better old school shooter like that. Too bad it glitched on me to where it made me lose all of the items. So I couldn't fight the final boss, but I learned that the final boss involved pushing two blocks and walking through a portal. I think I'm good. Also yes, I did try the command console and looking up a fix. Nothing. I didn't feel like starting over either, I wanted to move on to Quake 2 which is what I'm currently playing. It took me a while to answer that question, huh? So yeah, Quake 2 right now and the original Paper Mario. I'm on chapter 3 in PM and the torture prison in Quake 2. I might start Yakuza 5 later, I think I need a slight break. It's exciting to finally play that series with the new engine. It won't be full potential until the PS4 games Zero and Kiwami, but I'll take what I can get until we can get some enhanced ports. My shooter summer is going to extend into winter as well. My list got too ambitious and I had to cut a few titles like Blood and Shadow Warrior. Those will be for next year. Turok/Turok 2, Sin, Unreal, and Half-Life will be finished by the end of this year. That's a promise. If I break this promise, I'll change my name to "Punished Kiryu" and put a really terrible picture as my avatar. I'll even throw in a self-deprecating signature if someone would help me make one.

Circle of the Moon in general is pretty underrated. The soundtrack in that game is great. It's version of Dance of Illusions is really fun. The other versions are great too, don't get me wrong. Though there's something about the GBA version that works for me the best.

Again, I forgot this show was a thing until I saw it somewhere on this forum(or the fact that it was animated). Then I remembered it was a thing again when AlphaOmegaSin put up a review. That should give you an idea of how much I cared about the concept...and how many times I've been burned. I think Trevor's in show catchphrase sums it up best if you remember it. After two minutes into AOS's review, I shut it off and loaded up netflix.
To my absolute shock, I didn't hate it. Great one-liners, decent animation, and a good taster for what's to come. I'll go more in depth when Grant shows up and I'm sure he will. They haven't reached the place where he is yet technically. He was my character in the original game and the lack of love lately has been concerning. Heck in that pachinko game, he only has that original sprite while the other three got updated. I'll raise a Dracula wine glass for Grant.(or should it be a beer?) Here Here.

The panel at Anime Expo 2017 will go up later, but for now we got a sizzle reel which features a new track. Also, the InDemand on Indiegogo is now closed so now they take funding from backerkit. So spread this around instead. indivisible-rpg-from-the-creators-of-skullgirls.backerkit.com/hosted_preordersWe're at 2.1 million or so. 200 grand more and we get new game plus and a maniac dungeon. 200 grand... *sigh* EDIT: Here is the panel recorded by a guy. I didn't watch it yet, so I have no highlights for you.

Rabi-Ribi was a surprise in just how amazing that game was. I'm not a fan of that sort of art style, but the gameplay is fantastic and the story is fine too. Definitely recommended.
Everyone has already praised Ori to the moon, but I liked it enough to buy the two separate versions. Something I would never do for most other games. Grab the definitive edition and never look back.
Dust is a great one too. Fun combat and it gets chaotic with the right powerups. Story and voice work is fine here too, but it's slow. Recommended.

If it were like an RPG of old where the only thing holding you back was whether or not you wanted to deal with super powerful enemies, then that could work. I think SOTN and some of the Fallout games were very good with this.
I think one method could be after beating a boss, a door opens or becomes more accessible. However, the boss also drops two keys which could open two different doors each serving as a different route to the ending. Since the castle seems to be alive in this game too and has the potential to change forms, this could work.

Knowing that Inti-creates is involved, I think it's safe to assume that it will be "pseudo- 8-bit" ala Mighty Gunvolt and its sequel. I would love for them to go above and beyond and create something 16-bit(preferably) or even 32-bit(I'd be surprised if they could), but it's unlikely. Even if it comes out after the game drops, it'll be cheaper and easier to make an 8-bit game.
Playing as Alfred, Miriam, or Zangetsu would be interesting for me. Johannes could work too.

I feel like I only come here to talk about either rough days or food.
Today was bad. I was put in my most hated position 3 times in a week. Think of it as "dispatch", because that's essentially what it is. First on my monday, then yesterday, and then again today. I already wasn't in a good mood this morning because of how bad yesterday was, but today was worse. Very busy, tons of jerks, and a lot of minutia. The service industry...*sigh* Also one of my coworkers outright refused an assignment...called me to refuse. I was so baffled by this and upset that he could get away with it. I didn't say anything until a supervisor came to me with what I had thought was precognition at the time. "Did X call you and say he didn't want to go to that assignment?" I reluctantly said yes because I really don't anyone to get in trouble but I can't lie either. The ending was pretty good. We all had a laugh at the end of the shift. Thing is I'm tired, have a headache, but I still have to go workout. I let my family talk me into doing this 28 day boot camp work out thing and it's today!
Hooray. I needed to get back into working out anyway, and when I started last year(plus) it was at a bad time. I just need to stick with it this time. My diet took a backslide due to the stuff around me and my lack of cooking skill. Going to need to adjust that or go with inexpensive vegetable tv dinners or SOMETHING.

Not to say they are the same people making the arguments. There are those that want it to be like Dark Souls which is one of the most slow paced games out there. Then there are those out there saying it's too slow. I don't have a point per say with this, I thought it was interesting.
I do remember earlier suggesting that Miriam run like Ajna(Indivisible) in terms of animations, but that may be too fast as one person pointed out. That was before I tried the demo myself and feeling it was just right. I think that might be the solution. Give people a demo to try and see what comes of it. If they still say the same thing, then patch it later if it doesn't change when the game comes out.
