I changed my shift back to graveyard. A lot of personal reasons was my mind set for it. So far, it's a decent move. People remark that I'm smiling more. There's a bit less stress to contend with on the shift so that might be part of the reason why...other than delirium from staying up all night. My day was fine. Went out for sushi for the hell of it. I moved across town with the family, so I tried out this new place. It started out great...but then there was about a 10 minute delay between my next order and when I got it. I went to an All you can eat place, I was that hungry. That greatly affected my tip. Now I'm listening to The Great Ace Attorney's award winning soundtrack.(Just a few tracks, nothing major) It's amazing...

This guy, Parabeetle X, MyNewSoundtrack, Reprilord do Furturo, and PrincessZelda2020 are all fantastic at Mega Man style remixes and I recommend all of them.

The drop/crafting system intrigued me when I first read about it, but I admit that I completely forgot about it until I read this post. I know myself and I probably wouldn't have used it without a guide anyway. Doesn't mean I don't want it in the game. Glad to see it wasn't cut.
Other than Voltic Chain, I'd love to see "Dark Metamorphosis" for giggles. Input based commands would be perfect for 7th abilities.

I see both sides on this. I would prefer that it didn't need another kickstarter given how much praise and interest was in this gameplay style to begin with. However at the same time if the game is good or great or amazing, but for some reason people continue to forget about it and not buy it and the game absolutely deserves a sequel....I don't know I'd consider it. At this point even before launch, a publisher should at least be thinking about funding a sequel fully. They're already creating assets and given Iga's history of making do and reusing assets, it shouldn't cost as much the second time around. That could also mean less money asked for a kickstarter if it came to that.
I'm always ready for the worst case scenario though. Kickstarter should be a last resort only, not a first resort like Double Fine or something.

If there's a room with a single treasure chest in it, and you open it and take the stuff, have this line play:
"....Did you seriously just take my stuff??"
The origin of the voice? Unknown. It could be Gebel or an unseen ghost or another character. I would prefer an unseen ghost or Gebel for humor.

I'm restarting my second playthrough of Persona 5. I got the bad ending on purpose last time because by that point the save file wasn't good, but I didn't want to lose any demons. I almost maxed out all of the confidants this time. Only ones I'm missing are Tower, Hanged, Hermit, Empress, and Strength. I also have a ridiculous amount of money for what I actually need in the game. 1.5 to 2.5 million yen. Not as insane as I've seen people have, but waaaaay more than enough.
So far, I still HATE the Okumura arc. Unlike a lot of folks, I don't hate Ryuji. Thing is, it's not like I don't get why they hate him. Thing is, I can't stand Morgana. I think I dislike this arrogant feline more than Teddy from P4. Thing is, my dislike for him is partially the devs fault due to how at some points the game would force me to go to bed...when all I'm doing is waiting for someone else to do something and not because I'm tired. If I'm tired, I can just have Kawakami come and..."massage" me. This is infuriating and it gets old. Back to Ryuji and Morgana, so that's why their little pissing contest just came off as obnoxious rather than compelling or interesting or funny. Ryuji lacks tact and is a total moron that never owns up to certain mistakes, but Morgana is far from innocent. He takes nearly every opportunity to shit on Ryuji unprompted, even during battle. I did a comparrison and Morgana has talked more shit than Ryuji 9:1 up to shortly after the Okumura arc. Yes, I counted. If anything, Ryuji has more patience than Morgana and that's sad.
I still don't know what happens after the police station when Akechi shoots me in the head for no reason. I heard the way the thieves get out of this police situation is 100% bullshit. I don't know what happens, but I'm already soured which is a shame. I wanted to see how on my own. Thankfully people have been surprisingly cool about not spoiling this game. More so than usual. I'm still staying away until I see that true ending. The game is still good, but I wouldn't call it game of the year. That goes to Nier Automata so far for me. I'm also playing Kara no Shoujo after hearing so much about it. My friends said it was only ok and not memorable and others say it's pretty exceptional. I'm playing it and so far I'm agreeing with my friends. It's not amazing. I wonder if the sequel is better.
Also killing Tojiko was cheap shock value and made no sense within the plot. Even when you consider "crazy killer", targeting her is way too out there.
Actually the second mystery as a whole felt unsolvable by myself as far as details. The who, maybe. But after that, no. First mystery was better. I still gotta get the True Ending/Toko ending. But so far, not that impressed with it. That's it for now. I aim to finish Nier Automata before Christmas.

This makes me think of Devil May Cry 3.
In Devil May Cry 3, you could attack the loading screens.
If this game were to have any sort of loading screens, I would like that little touch to be there.
To stay on topic...
Either having a bunch of enemies come in and fight you while the credits roll or attacking the credits with your weapon and if you kill/hit enough you can meet Iga and fight him.

If they decide to put medals in the game like they did in OoE, then I give the double suggestion of Miriam's room having a display of all the medals you have earned. It would give Miriam's theoretical room more character and some bragging rights.

Once I saw the Best Friends play the demo, I was a lot more convinced than reading that kickstarter. The game is a lot better looking in practice.
Still not quite enough for me to back a game like this at 15 bucks.

I fixed Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition on Steam. It even shows 360 button prompts. Why Capcom hasn't made a proper HD version of that game with some actual graphics options or even porting that HD version they made for PS3 and 360 to Steam(again with at least some minimal options) is beyond me. Easy money, or at least I think that would qualify as the easiest money they could make since the Mega Man Legacy Collections. Impressions: Anywho, with that game it was like riding a bike. I'm doing a lot better than when I first played it and eventually beat it after taking about a year and some change to do so. Funny little tidbit, after doing so I did a revenge run of DMC1 which was notoriously terrible. I didn't buy abilities, all I did was up Devil Trigger and buy a TON of items. I deleted my old profile because why would I play hard mode with a terrible profile like that? I deleted it and started over and I found myself getting higher than C's in style meter. Yay! For this run of DMC3, I'm getting S's a lot more often. I'm using jump cancelling and weapon cancelling and all that jazz. I have a hard time using Swordmaster for some reason. Gunslinger and Trickster was pretty easy. Royal Guard might be the hardest to use from what I remember. I'm not that good at timing at all. It's going to take some practice. But I like how I'm better at this game than the arguably easier Bayonetta and definitely better at this game than Devil May Cry 4(SE). Also playing Nier Automata again finally. Not much to say: Dynamic music is back, but it's not as fluid as in the original Nier. The transitions are jarring for different areas, but those singular areas have great transitions for their own songs. So, it has mostly dynamic music this time around rather than fully dynamic. Cool, but a bit disappointing.
No, I have not gotten any endings. I got a long way to go with that one.

I played the preview while my friend was here from out of town. This guy does not play Casltevania, Metroid, or any gameplay-centric games like this. He mostly plays shooters or games that focus on story or the atmosphere. The Metro games, the S.T.A.L.K.E.R(s), the Mass Effects(not 3), and stuff like that. I played this backer preview in front of him and even HE was impressed with it. It's not his sort of game still, but it managed to impress someone like that.
This backer preview was an absolute treat. I played it before I read the explanations and possible FAQ's. My first playthrough was 91% after an hour and some change. I couldn't find Tungar, but I found myself using Dhar, Zebei, and Ginsing/Honey. Qadira is ok, she doesn't play at all like I expected. She's a lot more offensive than I was thinking currently. I found best girl Razimi, but I haven't used her yet. Zebei is awesome like usual, Dhar is kind of there for me(useful, but not that memorable), and Ginsing/Honey is cute and is a good addition. I found the bow absolutely hilarious to use due to how I can cheese some enemies with it. I was disappointed that the bow didn't have any exploration uses that I could find yet.
The music is absolutely beautiful. I'm hoping that Lab Zero posts that final boss track on their channel, it's that good. Seriously, go check this demo out if you backed the game. It's worth a playthrough.

I finished the PC version of Alan Wake which included those extra downloadable missions. Those extra missions are without a doubt the most poorly designed of the whole game. I'm going to take a break from this universe, so I won't run through American Nightmare yet. It was ok. It actually did both follow my expectations and subvert them a bit. I loved James McCaffarey's performance the best. It both made me laugh and made me nostalgic for Max Payne. I might replay those games at some point, but not soon.
Anyway, my Holloween game is done. Nier Automata and Axiom Verge(kind of) are next. I've had enough waiting for the former. I'm lucky I haven't been hopeless spoiled so far.

I cannot believe I'm saying this, but Alan Wake. I decided to start over in that game since I mostly forgot quite a few things. I'm on Chapter 3. There's a lot of Twin Peaks references even though they aren't explicitly said like the other movie/book references. It's...alright. I'm not too crazy about the shooting or the story so far. I have an idea on where it's going(given that I love and LIVE for the mindscrew/bizzare premise story subgenre), so I'm honestly not too engaged. I want to see if I'm right though. I'm hoping that they blow my expectations out of the water and give me something that I didn't expect though. That's still possible.

At last...I have completed my quest. While it is VASTLY toned down from my original vision of playing a lot more shooting games and about 2 months late, I have done it. Bulletfest is officially over. There will be a sequel to Bulletfest. I'm thinking of marathoning FPS styled games in summer and winter. That is until either I run out of games in this playstyle that interest me or until my skill level with these games gets higher.
I beat Turok 2. It's a great sequel for sure, but I ran into one or two annoying bugs(not literally) and no matter how hard I tried the sound balance was just off. I couldn't hear a word Adon was saying. Which is a shame because the world of Turok is pretty rad. Turok 2, for the time, had some great world building.
Anyway, I do still want to do that bonus game in Return to Castle Wolfenstein, but that would be outside of bulletfest. No rush. I can finally get back to playing other games. Maybe I'll finally play Nier Automata, finish up A Hat in Time, finally give Cuphead a runthrough, or stop jumping the shark and finish Dark Souls already. I'll give it some thought, but I need a break.

I beat Half-Life. I think with how the game was designed it had me finish the game faster than most of the other shooters in my marathon. My only two gripes are platforming(a personal pet peeve for FPS games) and that final boss. I love the concept of the final boss, I love the voice, and I really love the design. HOWEVER, it is a boring, tedious, and frustrating fight especially if you don't know what you are doing...and even if you do it still is. What a disappointing final fight to a blood pumping, semi-tactical, theoretical physics-based blast of a game.
Final game. Turok 2. I'm playing that remaster on steam. So far, it's a lot better than the first game. Little to no platforming, quick saves, better music, enemies react to getting shot now, the guns are amazing, and it has more varied objectives. Also I do like Adon. A lot. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I beat Unreal! I may be able to finish my minimized quest yet. It's a fantastic shooter. It's a shame we never got a proper sequel to it. Unreal 2, looks boring and not many people even like it. At least we got Unreal Tournament and its sequels though. Pity. A shooter with fantastic weapons and music like this doesn't get a proper sequel?
Anyway, my next two games are Half-Life 1 and Turok 2. If I beat those and decide to tackle Return to Castle Wolfenstein then it doesn't count since it's a bonus. I have to beat the former two before the year's end or else look like a fool for a long time. I haven't been playing anything else. I'm going to go ahead and start Half-Life. It's about time, never played it until now.
