Dragon_of_Dojima Speaking of guns in Castlevania games... Albus Mode in Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia. I just about lost it when he did that sky kick and then lit up that lobster boss. Yeah, the guns in Bayonetta were beautiful. In fact, I loved all the weapons in general. The angel chainsaw and the hammer come to mind.
But yeah, if Miriam could equip like two pistols or something and go to town, that would be sweet. You'd have to build them/find them first though. Thinking about it more, H might be right that the shotgun is too new. I'm thinking she might just find the plans for some sort of pump action weapon and invent the weapon with crafting. Miriam just invented the shotgun.(And commited patent theft) In all seriousness, I hope someone said gun before the thread was submitted. If not, that's fine. We can always ask if they decide to throw in extra content post release or something.

They did Bloodlines this time? I didn't see that in the schedule either, and the site is down now and I can't look at it Last I heard, it was at about 1.25 million or so for SGDQ this time. I think AGDQ is usually bigger. It's probably not reported on because positive news is boring, right? =/ My mistake, it was from 2014 and it was for Awesome Games Done Quick. Konami is really really good at programming. I still get angry goosebumps watching this. In all seriousness, Romscout's playthrough of Portrait of Ruin was insane. He said he hadn't played the game in ages and still did it in 17 minutes or so. And of course, I can never get enough of these Metroid/Castlevania races.

I am not sure if Shotguns were around at the time, but there was the Blunderbuss which is somewhat a shotgun. They could add it in and it wouldn't feel out of place aesthetically. Bloodborne added it in with style: The only thing though is that Bloodborne was made with firearm use in mind, and this one is heavily magic/melee oriented (from what we know so far). They would have to figure out a way to make it so it doesn't feel too clunky/OP/cheap and a way to keep a steady pace while moving about the Castle. I know Castlevania has done it before with Henry in CV:LoD: (I personally would love to have the option to have firearms. It could add variety in gameplay to one of the other playable characters). A blunderbuss would be amazing. I don't know what it is, but I find using guns in Castlevania/Igavania type games hilarious. When he was lighting up that skeleton, I found myself crying from laughter. Rat-tat-tat-tat late at night with my gat! ~

As much resentment as quite a few of us have towards this company, a lot of it completely justified, I'm not at all surprised with this. They're taking advantage of the mobile game boom going on in Japan to this day. Actually, I wouldn't even call it a boom. It's been going on for a decade over there. Not to mention the Soccer game and Metal Gear will do well for the short term.
As a guy with very little interest in mobile games save the Steven Universe mobile game(Which is actually pretty good), I'd rather not have mobile games be the future. However, it's starting to look like it is the future.

While Bloodstained's stretch goals felt a bit off at times, I could understand that it was mostly on the fly...so to speak. However, once I saw how Shemue III's stretch goals were handled, any small confusion about Bloodstained disappeared. Essential gameplay elements were in the 6-11 millions, which might have scared off other interested backers. Like qaantar said there was also the terrible communication system that they otherwise said was on purpose. I'm speaking as the guy who was there from minute 1 spreading this kickstarter like a hurricane and still continued to do so at the final moments. I had no means to back the project at that time, but I definitely would have if I could. Now I'm sure I would have taken away my pledge like Arcueid after a while if I had to deal with all of this as an interested backer. But that's just me.

Didn't they file for bankruptcy though? I doubt they can/will pay it back. I know kickstarter has rules and guidelines in place for stuff like this, but I'm doubtful.
I feel bad for the people who donated and the devs who put their heart and soul into this project. The backers are surprisingly gracious about all of this, and that's refreshing at the very least.

Gotcha.
I recently watched 2 Brazilian movies called Tropa de Elite 1 and 2 or Elite Squad 1 and 2. They were directed by the guy who did the recent Robocop reboot. I'm in the camp of not liking that reboot, but I really liked those two Elite Squad movies. It's cops vs. drug lords and corruption and it's awesome to watch. Elite Squad 2 was a fine sequel, on par if not better than the first.
I recommend them.

Talion from Shadows of Mordor. He has fart-fisted super powers, combo multipliers Arkham style, "elf" vision, and is a master swordsman. He has two crippling weaknesses though. He's frail and he's a weak-minded, whiny, fool. I have an extremely small window to take advantage of these two weaknesses. It would take careful planning and cunning, but I'm boned in every sense of the word if I don't.

I'm still going through games I missed... For some reason, I missed or forgot they were doing Rondo of Blood. It's funny to me how optimal mobility in Castlevania games often ends up being something silly, like in that game's case backflipping and moonwalking lol. Guy did the whole thing on an old arcade stick, no less. Currently in the middle of LttP. They've broken the whole game down into frames, of course. I would probably get sick of any single player game well before I got to that point, lol. I saw that one! The dude's commentary was gold. There was a run of Bloodlines where the dude jumped right through the saw blades. My friend and I flat out quit that game after seeing that. It was hilarious. Wait, I thought they raised 2 million for charity? Either way, I wonder why gaming news doesn't report on stuff like this. This is good material for articles.

I want to craft a lightsaber.
Actually, I'd love play around with a shotgun. This game takes place around the 1800s right? Shotguns were around at that time. Though pump actions were in the late 1800s...how about we call it a Demon Shotgun that Ash Williams would approve of?

You guys took the words out of my mouth. A comfortable chair, alchemy table, familiar breeding, customization of said room, unlocking the means to do so over time, having to discover the room first, how the room would be an intentional(or unintentional) blind spot used as a safe haven, etc. The only thing I would add is alcohol. Have there be a bar with a ghost bartender handing her drinks. It would serve the same function as Alucard sitting in a chair and listening to the fairy familiar sing to him in the Saturn version.

I know there is a stigma with bringing back somewhat dead threads, but I love movies too much not to bring this back.
Some of my favorite movies are:
Pulp Fiction Ghostbusters Robocop Goodfellas Raiders of the Lost Ark The Thing(1982) Hot Fuzz The Godfather Training Day Wheels on Meals The Lucky Stars Trilogy(Winners and Sinners, My Lucky Stars, and Twinkle, Twinkle Lucky Stars) Alien Predator Die Hard Tucker and Dale vs Evil Nightmare on Elm Street Mad Max Terminator 2 Death Race The Raid 1 and 2 The Evil Dead trilogy(Not the reboot)
and so many more.
The last movie I saw in theaters was Inside Out, which was I enjoyed immensely. The next one I want to see is Ant-Man. How about you guys?
