Hi there! As mentioned in the title, let's talk about Japanese music talents and their musics Anything related would be fine, from bands to Anisong, doujin/indie/VOCALOID creators to Michiru Yamane (who I respect the most in VGM field). Feel free to share the thoughts! I'm devoted into J-rock bands, especially math rock/post-rock bands, like nuito and sajjanu, they're creating some craziest thing I've ever heard. Recently I'm listening to syrup16g.

OMG you guys are truly collectors... I almost have nothing to show off except doujin music CDs... and some R-18 doujinshis.
...anyway I left them home...

Speaking of Japanese, the Japanese title of SoTN is 月下の夜想曲 which actually means Nocturne under The Moon. That's why our little half-fairy cutie's song named Nocturne. (A very good one, indeed.) So I'm just thinking that maybe the Japanese title of RoTN might be something other than 夜の儀式. Maybe they'll spice it up a little bit Do you mean the Track number 10 - 夜曲 (Ya.kyo.ku)? If so, I have the Japanese Original Soundtrack for years and I was always wondering where this music comes from. Yes. Originally this song is only included in the SS version of SoTN. Remember in the PS version there's an empty room with only 1$ coin in it at the Catacomb? Well, in SS version, there's an exclusive item named "Lyrics Card". Obtain it, make half-fairy as your familiar then sit on a chair for a while, there's a chance you could hear the half-fairy sing this song. Later, in the refined PS versions (Playstation the Best & PSone Books), they actually made this track into the game. Same condition, but they decided to left out the "Lyrics Card". All above is based on Japanese version of SoTN, as for North American version, they never introduce half-fairy into the game until PSP version is out (her name is changed into simply "Fairy", as the counterpart of "Faerie"). So if you have PSP version, you could do the trick as above. See more regional differences here: tcrf.net/Castlevania:_Symphony_of_the_Night_(PlayStation)#Regional_Differences(This page also include some interesting things that underlie in the code of SoTN, something like debug area, test area, unused sprites and tiles, etc.) I prefer to Japanese version of this song though, the lyrics is just beautiful and fits the atmosphere so well. EDIT: Oh, if you're very addicted to those little facts in SoTN (like the peanuts), check this out: www.geocities.jp/clearfeathers/nocturne/others.htmlBut unfortunately it's in Japanese. I could do some translation if needed

Miriam is not a well-trained soldier like Belmonts or Shanoa, more of an agile type IMO. So I'd like to keep it girlish.

Anyway, they're putting weight on western gamers so they might just keep the original English title.
I prefer English title, personally.

If we're to have an OP Miriam, there has to be OP bosses as well. So... a crystal-cursed Galamoth... nobody wants? Anyone? Make crystal-cursed Galamoth a bullet hell boss, with each projectile doing 9001 damage. BULLET HELL CONFIRMED Apparently everyone loves TH08

Acorrding to the devs, Yume Nikki actually inspired this game. Dialogues and monologues are full of metaphors and black jokes... Most of time it may seem nonsense, but some of these are actually touching. If you liked Yume Nikki, try .flow, one of the most well-known fangames of Yume Nikki. I played Anodyne, it was pretty good. Though I'd say it's more Zelda than Yume Nikki. Oh I know that one but haven't played before, would give a try. Speaking of fan games of Yume Nikki, I tried Yume 2ikki once, but never get my hands on it for real

In the Destructoid's new issue they found the similarities between the two female characters too.
Rumors said Shanoa is based on IGA's wife. So maybe he just happened to love this type?!
Anyway I like them both. Can't control myself when Shannoa raises up her hair.

All kinds of monster girls! Just like Alura Une and crystallized ones (looks like they're trapped in ice) in SoTN.

Awesome news! Again, thank you Mike, SML and Meta for making this forum real and everything. I'd say this is the most warmful board I've ever been, and I'm glad that I'm here.
Also, to Dan and other Fangamer stuffs, thank you for all your hard work! It's a great campaign.
Finally thanks to Ben and IGA for bringing Bloodstained to this world!
Cheers to everyone here and GET HYPED!

I recently found out a game named Anodyne. Lots of people say it's like combining Earthbound and Link's Awakening, but to my opinion it's a combining of Yume Nikki and Zelda. I love this kind of surreal-themed atmospheric horror game (and hate jump scares). Graphic isn't gloomy as Yume Nikki, but still the music is doing great job. And the second half of the game is just mind blowing, really. If you like Yume Nikki and Zelda, give Anodyne a try. Whoa @_@. That sounds VERY interesting! My favorite kind of horror! I'll definitely check this out ヘ(^_^)ヘ Acorrding to the devs, Yume Nikki actually inspired this game. Dialogues and monologues are full of metaphors and black jokes... Most of time it may seem nonsense, but some of these are actually touching.
