I usually don't get angry about delays -- I understand how plans can so easily go awry. I do tend to get upset when project administrators stop communicating. Ugh. That's the worst -- months (plus) without updates.... or they don't respond to the comments. I usually don't post my disappointment, mostly because there's plenty of other people who do. Ha!
Doing music stuff for Kickstarter projects was mostly a recent idea... it started with Shroud of the Avatar, when I wrote a mostly-original piece that got accepted for use in the game (woo hoo!). Doing arrangements for Bloodstained and Hive Jump... that was really just a recent idea of a way to contribute, so I'll probably keep doing it. I wanted to do one for Bard's Tale, but we'll see if I have time to finish it up before the campaign ends...

If you're looking for ways to kill time, playing through all the Castlevania games is certainly a good way!
But the information here is useful, and a good reminder. I've backed nearly 200 projects on Kickstarter. I'd say well over half exceeded their original time estimates (granted, sometimes because the project was really successful and it "expanded" -- but even then deadlines and dates have gotten broken left and right). So I try not to get too set on timelines.
In my opinion, one of the funniest implementations of Kickstarter in the product was with Shovel Knight. I don't want to spoil it for those who might eventually run into it, but the dialogue around the event pokes fun at this very idea -- paying for something before you know what it is. Very well done.

Never rush a pole. They're impossible to sneak up on, and they're usually bolted or cemented into the ground, which means you'll just hurt yourself.

I suppose I should officially introduce myself....
I grew up playing the Castlevania series, so I was absolutely thrilled when this Kickstarter went live -- and I went all in...!
I use the same name on KS... different avatar, though (green tea dog).
I'm mostly interested on the music side of things, though, so you'll see me haunting those passageways more than the rest.

I'd like to do something with this one, too, but I'm actually having a rather difficult time transcribing the melody... the syncopation is really getting me, and the background sound is really strong in the beginning.
