freddythemonkey try to avoid any kind of tutorial on the web. Today gamers check and notice these easter eggs and secrets way ahead, and spoil it for themselves. Heck even some achievements (which seems to be important these days) spoil things in their titles. Its disturbing and stupid, but thats the way it is.
I haven't come across any new secrets as of late about SotN. I do not think so.
Translated into:
For private people the fee below 1500 SKR (Swedish Kronor) is 75 SKR tax included. Any item above 1500 it will cost 125 SKR tax included.
The heaviest tier of Bloodstained cost $500 which is around 4400 SKR. Anything below $170 in total from Bloodstained will be "only" 75 SKR extra.
I guess I am fine then
Thanks SotnLover for the idea to check my local post website about "package from other countries".
I have requested something better for a Game Over screen other than just text.. Either in a private feedback, or here bloodstainedfanforums.com/thread/1502/enkerias-wishlist can't remember and am too lazy to check at this point.
I would like for a 3D view of the area you died in actually, spinning slowly or something. Or zoomed in/out with angles... Also a way for us to do this from the menu to take photos.
update:
GAME OVER!
Oh nooo! That screen can be more than just a plain text. How about we evolve it?
Fan ideas, not official nor even commented upon (first draft, will let the devs know about your ideas within a couple of days).
Idea 1. In the menu, have a snapshot feature with a few angels you can toggle around with, filters and a way to save that image on your harddrive / flashmemory depending on system and easy share on social medias with hashtag included for a collection of them under the Bloodstained community.
Upon death, you enter this mode if you so choose. You can also toggle around with the screens text, pick additional filters like Rest in Peace or similar, perhaps even add gothical themes upon it and not only color and shading filters.
2. From this screen you can enter theater mode for relaxing with some cutscenes from the game you have unlocked and listen on the soundtrack from this menu until you wanna continue to play the game
3. Show stats on how well you did. Secrets found, items collected, how much ether you used and so on. This stat window would probably be something people would enjoy even if you didn't die. Good for the gamers that want all the details and stats of their deeds.
4. Time Attack Mode / Speedrunner Mode / Boss Rush Mode etc. shows you either a scoreboard of yours / onlines / your friends best times. Or it can just show how long you survived, making it easier to bookmark, write down and store. Or do what my dad did with old Nintendo 8-bit games, write it down in a textpad and keep it under the TV (/ console or computer).
5. From this Game Over screen you can continue saved game or go back to the menu. If you choose to go back to the menu you are greeted by IGA himself, asking if you are sure with a voice and/or text saying "never give up on your dreams!" or similar.
---
Let me hear what you would like to see on the Game Over Screen.
Rip my $625 worth in package fee. Omg. Hope I have the money when it's time. Or I will be game-less. Sucks if they send it back to USA if people can't afford.
Change: Robert Belgrade, the voice behind Alucard in the first versions of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night will lend his voice to Bloodstained - Ritual of the Night. He will be voicing a "mysterous man". - By Enkeria Gin
Change: David Hayter, the voice of Solid Snake among others was thought to be voicing Gebel, it was later changed into him taking part of making Zangetsu's voice instead. - By Enkeria Gin
New: During April 28 of 2018 it was revealed during an kickstarter update that the prequel mini-game have been change to a spinoff mini-game, allowing additional adventures to take part in future developments if team(s) decide to do so. The spinoff mini-game also mentions "8-bit" in their japanese section, something that is only refered to as "retro" in the english section. "I'd also like to update you on the retro mini-game. There have been some changes from the time we started the Kickstarter campaign; originally, the mini-game was supposed to be a story that took place 10 years prior to the main game, but we've decided to have it take place in a different part of the lore" source - By Enkeria Gin
Monster
Addition: Early concept of Vepar (in the E3 2016 Demo) had her color template being more colorful and bright. This changed quickly after feedback were given that she were less 'goth' and 'scary', during SXSW 2018 they revealed her new look. bloodstainedfanforums.com/thread/2935/sxsw-igas-birthday-action-report?page=1 - By Enkeria Gin
New: One minor change have been made for the boss Bloodless in the chinese version of Bloodstained. When the cutscene shows she gets covered more quickly by her bloodmagic. - By Enkeria Gin
Why I think a spinoff is better than a prequel (Mini-Game)
The prequel game became a mini-game spinoff. Reasons unknown. I do have a theory though.
Koji Igarashi have stated before that his biggest mistake with Castlevania were to give it a solid time-frame. While lore and such fits in nicely it leaves less space for creativity if you do not bend the rules or make a story play out in another dimension or reality, making them "non-canon".
When it comes to Bloodstained, I believe Koji Igarashi have learned from his previous mistake and want to have adventures in both the past, the now and in the future.
A spinoff makes sense instead of an prequel, not only to not limit itself, but also make future installments of the game easier to create. Perhaps the next adventure of Bloodstained might, or might not touch upon the subject about the guild that tried to summon the evil spirits from the beginning. Or maybe whoever wrote the guide of this to actually make the rituals which lead up to Miriam and Gebel getting these curses and abilities which they possess.
Its a general smart move and just in the details. Having a prequel that leads up to Miriam waking up from her coma, (this is where we start our game what we understand), could hinder both story, timeline, creativity and features.
It can also help whatever spinoff game to stand on its own feet and become "its own". I mean.. How about a series of 2D pixel games if this mini-game is a blast?
- Ye new Decarabia needs some color, and as Yän said - a physical attribute when you make last hit for satisfaction. The desolved thingy seems still alpha since this is what many enemies do when they "die". I was hoping for more kill-animations but I can wait if its on the table.
- Demo after kickstarter ends is an interesting choice. Will the input from the demo really matter then? Or is this purely to secure the IP as it stands, and only that? There are both good and bad things about this. I have however full faith.
- If you guys are wondering if you should or shouldn't back for extra goodies at the moment. I suggest you back if you think the extra things are worth it. If you are just curious about the game, hold off and buy once its out if you liked it on your first choice of a system. Go with brain, not heart.
- The environment is nice, it looks very however generic due to the bright light (still WIP as been told). The leaves are going crazy on this side of the castle too. Try to mix it up with those animations, some areas slower than others. The wind should however be strong the higher up you are in a castle - even if its 180 degrees on the other side. Make note Angel-Corlux
- I changed my mind. This update gets 8 out of 10. Because now I have gotten what I wanted (games and pre-games) in my pledge. Thanks.
- RIP the small Decarabia version. - I do not know if I can manage to pledge any more in this short amount of time. - Fangamer gonna have a hard time fixing all the mails since those manage-id-keys are easily broken and needs to be refreshed. - No info about prequel bit-version. 8, 16 or 32 still unknown. - Prequel lore change. Not as if that matter, its just a mini-game. I can see it totally as a Game & Watch thing. (1-bit?) - Mods confirmed... For Resident Evil 4.
I give this update a 3 out of 10, 4 of which went down to economical reasons here, so I guess.. It should be 7 out of 10 then.
I am new to game plus. Not many singleplayer games I like have this as a "reward" or does anything differently. Its like use the last save in SotN and just, run around doing "nothing" except exploring. Thats what I am used to. So if there is new stuff introduced in this mode, It will be awesome for me.
Enkeria : Im sorry to hear about your mom, i lost mine a few years back so i get where you're coming from. If i had the knowledge i would already be making that for you 2, but i can ask around see if anyone has something.
Thanks. Yeah I have been trying out to ask around, both on reddit, imgur and so on. Some have showed interest, but lack of skills. I am a designer myself and I have the graphics, or can make it. Just need someone to actually make 3 icons pop and go away. It would really be more basic. More so than Candycrush etc. And with way less colors, sfx and music etc.
Features like changing the size of the grid would be nice too, since more people would enjoy the game (thinking about older or handicaped people with very shaky hands). And with that - also for those with bad eyesight.
Mom have a cold now, talking a great toll on her. She seems to feel better however atm. Thanks once again for the thoughts and sorry to hear about your loss
Redogan: Some people are gonna get to eat a meal and play some games with IGA! Awesome!

LeoLeWolferoux: Sooo... I guess some dude on Twitter stumbled across a financial document from 505 games indicating that a '2nd version' of Bloodstained was in the works??? back sometime in like 2021???
Apr 15, 2023 21:00:49 GMT -6
LeoLeWolferoux: How am I just now finding out about this/ C'mon, IGN. Get it together.
Apr 15, 2023 21:01:12 GMT -6
LeoLeWolferoux: Dunno how this Twitter user came across these documents, tho, assuming since they don't know any further details, it wasn't someone *from* 505 Games. I certainly hope it was obtained via legal means...
Apr 15, 2023 21:02:13 GMT -6
XombieMike: Shortly after 505 let that document go public the official Bloodstained twitter confirmed there will be a second game. ArtPlay is finishing Bloodstained DLC and then we will learn more about the next game.

Aug 15, 2023 23:15:43 GMT -6
Redogan: Any ideas on when we get the rest of the updates? I'm still waiting on my physical copy with everything on it for my CV collection.
Aug 23, 2023 12:48:28 GMT -6
Redogan: Nice to see a project update! I like the new Classic 2.0 mode with Dominique. Looks like it plays like a traditional CV game--which is a good thing. Glad to see some gameplay video of Chaos and VS modes, too!
Sept 6, 2023 18:16:32 GMT -6
ShroudedTraveler: Did they say when they were releasing the update with Dominique? I don't recall seeing anything in the video, so I'm assuming not
Sept 7, 2023 16:40:01 GMT -6
Redogan: I didn't see anything about the release date. I just know that it is paid DLC. (So, us backers don't get it for free. Which is fine.)
Sept 8, 2023 16:54:52 GMT -6
ShroudedTraveler: Yeah. At this point, with the game being as old as it is, I'd be fine paying for the content.
Sept 12, 2023 19:00:02 GMT -6
XombieMike: Classic mode 2 will be canon!
Sept 15, 2023 19:55:00 GMT -6
Ciel: Been a long time since I last logged here, but it seems that until we get any news of a sequel, there won't be much to discuss. Oh well!
Sept 25, 2023 14:32:30 GMT -6
purifyweirdshard: The discord is certainly where the activity is, but we'll keep this forum up and running as long as we can. Bloodstained's subreddit also still moves along pretty well
