Now the question is if the character designs are owned by the company Konami or by Koji igarashi or the ones who drew and painted them like Ayami Kojima among others. Konami owns them. Though as fangamer has clearly proven with: , they have no hold on "vampiric looking man in black suit with cape.

Hell, they don't even have copyright over a vampire named Alucard, as the manga Hellsing demonstrated. It didn't really need to be demonstrated by anyone. It's under the same umbrella as Dracula. Alucard was completely conceived by creative persons, but that again was a long time ago, and any potential copyright revolving around the character (who was actually just Dracula pretending to be human, after they thought they killed Dracula) has long since been expired and is now considered public domain.

About as much as Thor can be used in anything.
Meaning yes.
Even further, Bloodstained could use Dracula as a character, and there's nothing Konami can do about it. Even further than that, they could use Alucard as well.
What they can't use from Castlevania: The term "Castlevania" The exact depictions of Alucard and Dracula as they appear within Castlevania, or any other character. Art/music assets from any of the games.
And as far as I'm aware, that's about it. They could legally have a character named "Richter Belmont", and as far as I could say, there wouldn't be any problem with that. Now if you could play him as the hero of the story and/or he was going around whipping things, then there's some potential legal trouble there. If we wanted to stretch as much as we could while staying legally safe, just using the name "Belmont" without any further connection, would be the furthest I would ever go.
However "Death" isn't trademarked, copyrighted, patented, or anything. The idea of the character of Death isn't unique either. Meaning, you could still have a floating cloaked spectre with a scythe named Death, and it'd be okay. If that was ever an issue anywhere, Konami would have infringed on someone else's rights first.
And of course the same goes for Dracula/Alucard. Castlevania didn't invent them. Dracula was a heavy rumor a long time ago that eventually got turned into a movie, as such even the movies didn't have legal rights over them, and even if they did they are so old that they have expired by now. If they did have a Copyright on it, it would have expired about 20-30 years ago, putting Dracula and everything related to it under public domain, which is why Konami was able to use it with no legal trouble.

The music of 14 is pretty good though, so I'd recommend anyone with the spare time and money to see what it's all about.

This might actually be a circumstance in which actually doing it without their permission might produce better results than asking them.
When it comes to copyright, it relies on the copyright holder to defend their IP. When Konami pulled out of the video game industry, they basically expressed their intent to NOT create and sell any more video games. Effectively, when it comes to Castlevania in the games industry, they plan on not making any money off of it. Not only that, but they've effectively killed their world wide presence and limited themselves to Japan, making it harder for them to defend their copyright. They may not even notice someone using their IP, honestly, especially if it's from overseas.
If they don't defend their copyright, they lose it, though they only lose it in certain ways. If you ever plan on making a Castlevania pachinko machine then you probably won't get anything done.
However there is actually already a precedent for people making "Castlevania" games. I Wanna Be The Guy used Castlevania assets in the game, though the game wasn't sold, it still became rather popular, and even used iconic elements of the franchise. You can still download IWBTG on the creators own site, which has been up for at least a decade. Simon Belmont has also been used in a variety of flash games. Normally I wouldn't qualify this as enough to limit their copyright, however Konami HAS expressed their every intention of completely backing out of the video game industry.
Though with this you wouldn't actually make money. You could offer them your proposition but I doubt they'll accept.

People throw around the term "PS2" to define graphics much too easily, without ever really taking into consideration the actual comparison or what that entails. Regardless, Bloodstained isn't a AAA budget game. It has a budget of (presumably) $10M, which is a far cry from the high budget super HD games being made today. It's reported that Metal Gear Solid V spent at least $80M, and it's not a complete game, though it does look rather nice. GTAV spent more than that and looks worse. Supposedly Final Fantasy VII costed $45M to make at the time, and was quite an ambitious title. And I figure a lot of people backed Bloodstained because Castlevania went AAA 3D action. We're not in it for the graphic quality, but because of the departure from the medium. That said, backers voted on what they thought looked "the best". There was no way that this forum alone would influence the vote so much as to sway the result, and the general consensus on the internet as a whole reflected the actual result.

Wait and see before upgrading.
If the major benefits only come from 4K support or the requirement of a new television, then wait and see if you have the budget to invest in one, and wait and see if it'll even be worth it.
We have no specs out there to base anything on, and we have no game comparisons to show us "this is what the old PS4 couldn't do".
I've heard that at least one of those systems, probably the Scorpio, supported HDR, high dynamic range, which boasts a wider range of colors making the image look closer to reality. If you invest in a 4K television any time soon, make sure it has HDR support. Make sure it has GOOD HDR support.

At the top of the Steam there is a four words: Steam, View, Friends, Games, and Help. Click on Games and then on "Activate a Product on Steam." Then click Next and then I agree. Enter the code and wait for it to download. Games -> Activate a Product on Steam -> Next -> I Agree -> Enter Code -> Wait for it to download Also, make sure you have the prerequisites for the demo though which I think is Unreal 4. This'll work but if you don't like drop down menus then you can click "+ Add a game..." on the lower left hand corner of the Steam window, and then the rest is the same.

I've always loved the rooms in Final Fantasy that house the crystals. The primary example here would be FF4, where the walls and floor are a reflective glass/crystal, and there's a giant pedestal holding the crystal.
Considering stained glass is the motif, I'd want a room that's just a bunch of reflective stained glass surfaces. It would only be relaxing colors such as blue or light green, perhaps some gold/yellow but not too much. It would be a safe room or maybe even a save room, so no enemies would be here. In a world where the crystal curse is an ever threatening menace, this crystal room would somehow bring this peaceful solace, a glaring contradiction to just further expand the mystery of the plot.

I'm fairly positive that I used the same e-mail for both of my purchases. The difference in my case, is that I paid once through Kickstarter and once through Paypal, to minimize risk of things like this happening due to me confusing the rules.

Ps4 is region free right? can't you just import a us copy or a uk copy with english? No idea honestly. If this is possible though the big question is what servers you'd be playing after importing - the eu or us ones. Because if it's the later than the lag could be a killer. On PC you can simply choose which region you want to play on, but I have no idea how it would work on PS4.

Supposedly Legend of Titan or whatever, was actually just a project to demonstrate how easy it is to blatantly rip off bigger and more successful games. (Supposedly) it won't be distributed or sold. That's not to say that blatant knock offs don't happen anyways. zredgemzPS4 indeed does not have a region lockout.

Steam is just an incredibly useful and easy to use/distribute platform for software distribution in terms of both sales and giveaways. This is by Steam's design as well as its incredibly expanding userbase, as well as promoting a lack of piracy.
As such things such as distributing the Bloodstained demo is like to happen through Steam, and isn't likely to change any time soon, especially when the appeal is to give favoritism to the backers of the kickstarter. Whenever the decision happens to make the demo available for everyone, then I imagine a separate download link will be given for everyone.
Edit: Seeing that you backed multiple times, you should have been given codes for every $60+ tier you backed.
If you paid for a $60 tier, and then made a separate backing for another $60 tier, you should have two codes. If you paid for a $250 tier, and made a separate backing for another $60 tier, you should still have two codes. If you only backed once intending to get a digital and physical version, then you should only get one code.
From the sound of it, you paid on three separate occasions of $60 or higher, so you should have three codes. The question remains, did you complete three surveys? One of the requirements for getting a demo code was to complete your survey(s) by June 13th. You should have a survey for every separate time you've backed.

I had completely forgotten about another topic and tidbit about the game using the demons of the Lesser key of Solomon. The boss is practically true to form with a little creative inspiration, as well as being more tame than the actual source. It should be noted that other than Vapar, we've seen Amy, Decarabia, and Buel, from this particular list of examples, and all are rather faithful representations of these designs.
