I mentioned it in the Fan Art thread but I felt I should mention it here since this art seemed like a cool enough redesign ( Source) to be a worthy inspiration for an "Alucard-like"/Vampiric costume for Miriam: Everyone wants the whole Alucard/Vampire Hunter D armor type outfit and so do I. If she has at least one OTHER alt. outfit besides the Pure Miriam one, I'd want it to be this. (But who knows. We might be missing a character in-game yet TBA that resembles him also. You never know what Iga is going to pull on us!) I actually do really like Miriam's tricorn hat from the custom reveal art. It reminds me of Bloodborne. She needs a Hunter's duster.

You got that from my Facebook, XombieMike! I might be the one of the few Bloodstained fans that also happens to be a geology nerd as well (but alchemy equally fascinates me!). Got that article from a Facebook page that is for rock/mineral lovers and stuff.

Well, I decided during my last con experience this month after attending a con panel about what a GOOD con panel is... Panels where people are actually not boring, and are passionate about what they love---being efficient with PowerPoint, images, music and videos about their fandoms--- I think you can see where this is going. By next March 2017, the Bloodstained BETA will have been released already (which I've got my Steam code ordered), and what a good opportunity to bring in a local group of people to get interested in Bloodstained. The con happens to be during March. I want to run a Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night 101 panel at my local con, and I want to get you guys involved to chip in. I already know how to use the essentials of PowerPoint and such, I just want some input considering I'm a first timer. I'm doing this for the sake of Bloodstained, and to get over my social shyness. Community involvement is what keeps Bloodstained alive, and I want to reflect that as a fan and backer even at a small con such as my own how awesome a community this can be. I've already got ideas that I will show through the Kickstarter pitch, the updates, all the information and the music/shaders/backgrounds and what we know so far about the game...and that Castlevania's Koji Igarashi is back with a new cursed Demon Castle! My issues are trivia, and whether prizes will be things such as donuts or rock candy... Vampire If only I could be blessed with giving away a tshirt that even I do not have to a lucky audience member... Update: Probably not going to do this panel at all. It would take great convincing for me to find the heart to do it again, as much as I love Bloodstained my health is not looking very good and I just don't think I'm able. Not to mention other people are already getting panels out there faster than what I'm able, so it's cancelled pretty much.

I constantly wear my Alucard/Castlevania SOTN shirts to conventions, and spread both the Castlevania and Bloodstained fandoms when its commented on. I tend to stay in the Indiana/Kentucky/Tennessee area though, but if you run into me, please say hi! Just ask if I'm dimlitcandle. Speaking of in-person encounters...I have something planned for the community that I will post about in a bit. At the last con I went to, I attended a panel about con panels and it inspired me to do something...

Added location. That's even less remote than where I actually live. Enjoy your amusement at my rural self.

I've heard Slain has less than favorable controls...at least it LOOKS good. But to the point--- I follow this guy on Youtube. He's really cool! I think I've run into him on Facebook as well! Anyway... Seems like Laura Bailey is not as favorable a pick as I thought she was for a Miriam voice role. I find her to be the more suitable choice out of the many due to her role in a Metal Gear game, and sharing the sound company that is doing this game.To be blunt and honest though, there are not that many new female voice actresses that would have a range that would fit the "mysterious youth" role that have not been overused. I'm an aspiring amateur voice actress myself, but due to money constraints I am unable to record much of anything, and I do not have my own studio. I think this is most of the problem when it comes to young and upcoming voice actors as a whole...also, I have NEVER had a debut role in anything due to location (very remote, not near any studios). I have gotten many positive comments from voice actors/actresses themselves though about being charismatic, perfectly embodying cool and cute, so I am hopeful someday I will get a role. But sorry if I couldn't pull through for something like Bloodstained.

In my opinion, it doesn't look appropriate for a character of that size and muscular mass to have breasts like that, I think they would be a liability in combat. But really I couldn't care less about it, so long as the game is good then pick whatever design you want. My real issue here is the way in which people are behaving about it; dismissing the opinions of those who have an issue with the bust size as nothing but "salty whining" and stuff like that. You don't see it here because there's moderation, but on the kickstarter, or even worse, on the comments on the youtube video, people are viscously attacking and ganging up against those who don't act like an echo-chamber to parrot their opinions, calling people names, homophobic slurs, sjws or bigots or whatever, simply because they don't fit on their ideological bubble. Hundreds (yes, hundreds, just look at the most upvoted comments on the video and see how they have hundreds of likes of people that agree with them) of people are already bashing those who simply want to express their opinions on the character in a relentless way, and those are the majority. To be honest, it's scary that the game isn't even out yet and it already has an aggressive and almost toxic fanbase :s Folks, lets prove we are the best fanbase on the internet. Don't attack people's opinions. If something isn't wrong it doesn't need to be defended. It's not an attempt to be mean, but we're all scared we're not going to not get a US release if devs listen to the vocal minority. I admit I was angry, and I took part in the youtube slam fest, and I was wrong. I should have ignored it. I want to create a loving fanbase...

Going into Youtube comments and expecting anything less than the worst the Internet has to offer is a failure state. I could not keep my cool with them, and unloaded my wrath on them. But it's YouTube. I shouldn't have, but I felt personally insulted... (although indirectly...) I must learn to channel my anger into games and not onto others, but at the moment I thought it would drive toxic people away from Bloodstained as a whole. I really try to encourage as many people as I can to try these games, but if you're going to criticize every update...

...I knew I was forgetting something But I see a lack of haunted or horror theme areas, even a haunted section of the castle with zombies and ghosts, werewolves and little terrors that pop out from the background (either scare traps or enemies) should have been mentioned I mean im sure the whole castle is haunted, bbut having an area with creepy music and jump scares is something I must insist upon since it sticks with the castlevania theme and then maybe if we are feeling generous a haunted carnival within the deeper into the area with some mirrors and wicked clowns, because everyone hates clowns,be a nice area to stack up on candy themed item drops and popcorn, and maybe ride a rollercoaster straight deeper into the depths of the castle Nice to see people are voting for the sacraficial chamber idea I mentioned I read an article recently that Italian operas used to have creepy guys in masks just prowl throughout the audience to spook people mid-performance. I think that would be a cool take on the typical "carnival" theme. Especially if a gigantic opera hall is the first area you actually encounter Gebel in! The closest thing to the opera-house option was "ballroom" and "theater" that I picked. Don't want Gebel to channel too much of the Phantom though, or else Miriam will turn into Christine. I assumed that if he is meant to be a bit of the Phantom, maybe Miriam is meant to be more like the Bride of Frankenstein? I heard her concept design was a reanimated corpse/doll. But, ahhh!! Off topic. Ballroom is the best option. Masquerade---Gebel encounter! Overall great ideas, guys. Loved the Belltower, too. I assumed the Church/Sanctuary would already be a focus as the stained glass is a central theme. They should connect that to a creepy Crypt full of Alchemical occult-saints and Experiment Halls. Sounds like a final area to me.

Pretty sure this project is dead. If anyone really wanted to have cashed in, they would have made a Sorrow saga anime (that I would have watched, unfortunately, in it's likely cheese-laden glory as it is the most Jojo's Bizarre Adventure of all Castlevania). But for a close relative, a Vampire Hunter D CGanime (like the new Berserk) is supposed to be in production for the US and Japan. Wonder where, channel or otherwise, they will debut it? Aside from other adaption disappointments, I did enjoy the Curse of Darkness manga for what little it was, though. I would have preferred a handheld/classic Castlevania manga however. SOTN's and the other Curse of Darkness manga were rare, Kojima gems. Oh, and the little 4komas for the games they used to do were pretty funny.

The Souls series~ (Bloodborne, and Dark Souls 3 soon!!). Also playing Hyrule Warriors. I'm so pumped about HW: Legends that I'm going to get that too!! (I want to play as Medli and Linkle, anyway...)Edit: I will be getting Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance/Pokemon: Omega Sapphire or something like that instead. My 3DS can't run HW: Legends. It's an old one.

@new Members: Also please stick around and post <3 Too many people seem to sign up, post maybe once, and then never show up again Indeed. I'll try not to do that, even though work aside from gaming calls. A big welcome to all new members of the Army of the Night! (I've not been here that long, but I have been in lurking. Castlevania lurker since the 90's. Big SOTN and Sorrow series fan if I haven't mentioned, but I've played nearly all the series.)

I've been schooled! But I'm actually kind of glad now that British accents are not a thing, so it will be more natural for the voice actors. (So I take back what I said). I'll for sure remember this as a history lesson.

crocodile Remember all those times I tried to explain what I wanted out of this game visually but couldn't get it across well? I used Lament of Innocence numerous times as an example but people still seemed confused for what i meant. Now I have examples I can actually use from this game itself. I kept using this image to say it needs a more textured and darker tone to the visuals, much more detail which will give it a less dollhouse ( yes I'm bringing the term back) look. What we got originally was something like this - It looked overly simple, which gives it a more cartoony, less threatening, less dark feel to it. It didn't hit that IGAVANIA tone I was hoping for..... BUT then something magical happened. The images they revealed today fixed my issues with the look instantly, and capture the vibe Lament Of Innocence has perfectly in a 2.5d space. Now people can see what I mean when I say a gritty, more textured, more dark, less cartoony feel. They nailed it. It's almost like Lament of Innocence is turned into a 2.5d game. Now I no longer have to try an explain myself, the bloodstained team explained it for me Yes this does a great job of illustrating the point you were trying to put across earlier. It's a fair point - I just feel some of us had trouble understanding what you were trying to say before. All that being said, I never really feared that the backgrounds in the final game would look just like those shown in the first shader previews. I think I said that too but maybe I'm wrong. Anyway, the game seems to be moving in a great direction so let's keep in good spirits This is just too good...

Sooo...from the sound of it, Iga wants a mysterious voice actress for Miriam? How about someone who has experience with playing mysterious characters? Laura Bailey. I wonder how many voice actresses fit that description?

I saw these photos thanks to Miriam's Facebook page and I laughed so hard when I saw IGA with donuts on his eyes ! ha ! ha ! It's cool to see we're so close from Community to Team though I couldn't participate ! Actually, this is the first time I see such an action from fans which also receiving a (quick) answer ! I know how you feel. It's a great feeling being this close and getting a response pretty quickly. Oh, I agree. Sometimes I get over-excited about it and have to cancel my gaming streams because I'm bouncing and squealing from updates/speaking to admins/staff! It's not like Iga's games were my childhood, or anything...

I like her new ribbons. I know its to set her apart from the background, but it makes her look more Jojo's Bizarre Adventure with her pose...
...Which is exactly what this series needed.
