I spent most of my day sleeping because I was up all night gaming. When I woke up I ordered an XL meatlovers pizza only to realize I had no cola left. Knowing they take almost an hour to deliver I made a quick trip to the dollar general and picked up some Dr Topper, a generic Dr Pepper substitute and made my way back. The pizza came shortly afterwards and I caught up on my DVR shows, The Strain and Teen Wolf and ate so much pizza it made me feel sick. I drunk a few wine coolers, passed out on my bed, woke up again, reheated some pizza and logged online.
... and here I am.

Humm...
Yeah I am definitely looking forward to this series. I think I will download Castlevania 3 on the eshop and replay it as well.

PC leading at 58, PS4 a very close second at 55, Wii U continues to hold a solid third at 27, Vita and XB1 tied and 9 & 9 for fourth. It's not to much different from the statistics on the poll that was passed around when the original kickstarter went up. PC and PS4 leading doesn't really surprise me so much given the large install bases they will probably wind up selling the most. The Nintendo fanbase isn't what it used to be but I think there are enough old time Castevania fans on the platform to keep it in third. I think this will translate into to solid real time sales as most retro themed titles on the system tend to do well.
Vita might do better in real time sales than the poll is predicting just for the portability factor and cross platform saving. I think it will probably sell decently on XB1 once it goes live but the audience on that platform is more AAA oriented making it harder to predict.

They could make them NPC's, vendors or familiars.

Woke up, hernia is pretty much popped back inside, so was happy....until I didn't have a bm or appetite all day....had to force myself to eat 2 sammiches and a slice of pizza...got some info from a call to my BlueCross thingy(24hr nurse advice line) and just had a small bm....it was a concern, because if I don't have appetite or bms/passing gas and I start getting a fever, pain, vomiting, it means it's "strangulated" and if not taken care of ASAP, I'll die.....so there was that, today(yesterday at the time of writing this) Wow... well hopefully you get that taken care of.

I pledged $153 so I will get three copies of the game. I plan to get my physical copy for PC/Steam and install it, then get digital copies for my PS4 and Wii U. <drama> I'm trying to go all digital. My kids have destroyed and/or lost too many of my games as of late. Just a few weeks ago, my wife almost stepped on my Wii U Darksiders 2 disc which my kids apparently left in the floor leaning at a 45 degree angle against the step going into the kitchen. (I have six kids; youngest is 1; oldest is 13.) It was covered in fingerprints (which I cleaned immediately), but there was no lasting damage. That was the last straw. I put all of my physical game discs up high on a shelf and put all my DVD/Blu-rays in a media binder and put that up on a shelf as well. I swore from that point that everything would be digital. I now have an external 1TB drive for my Wii U. I'll be putting the physical copy of Bloodstained up on a special display shelf after I install it. I'm still missing two games from my Castlevania collection (steam still coming out my ears btw) and a physical 3DS copy of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. </drama> I guess it depends on your situation if you have kids I can see physical copies being a problem. Personally all my disks are kept neatly in a large shelf organized by platform and your lucky if you can find a scratch or spec of dust on any of them.

PS4 physical and PS Vita digital. I just couldn't pass on the portable version (it's Igavania, after all), and cross-save will be nice to try out. Since I could pick only one option in the poll, I chose PS4 version for a moment. I worry a little for the Vita version although I am trying to be optimistic. If you are wondering why click the spoiler but I am not sure I want to put it out in the open.

Figured I would go ahead and bump this because there is a brand new Slain! trailer out and I wasn't sure where else to put it.

I'm doing the Wii U physical copy. My only concern is if this game is a few years out and the rumored Nintendo NX is released at about the same time, I'm wondering if we'll have the option to switch to the NX. Chances are the NX will be reverse compatible and they will just put the Wii U version on the NX eshop.

I would love to have sequels of course, but not every year to keep things fresh, maybe every two or three years. I like the idea of a manga and maybe an animated film. If the game is good I believe kickstarter backers would gladly support a sequel. Just don't make the Mighty no. 9 mistake and launch the kickstarter for your next game before the first one is out.

If it is successful I would say the chances of there being more is highly likely.
I would just expect more games most likely I wouldn't count on a manga since they are primarily aiming at a western audience. Maybe novels and possibly movies if it got REALLY popular... probably just more games though.

Welp. I'm wrong. Damm my update senses! I have been thinking "well any time now" since about August 1st. However I am not in any real rush maybe with some luck we will get it before the end of the month.

So XBONE will get cross play with Windows 10. Does this mean Steam, GOG and XBONE players can all play together? If that's the case I'm going GOG with no regrets. Would it be dumb to have a digital GOG and a XBONE physical copy then? Not that I have a current Gen console, but I will in about a year. Microsoft made it sound like the cross play would be exclusive to Xbox One and Windows 10 users I suppose that would encompass steam and GOG. Microsoft is known for being picky about cross platform play but they could also do cross platform between the PS4 and Wii U versions if they wanted as well. The platform you get it for is entirely up to you but I don't see anything dumb about a physical XB1 copy, getting it for Wii U myself.

Looks like Fangamer keeps running into snags. I'd figure August update would be out by now. Awell. Hard work and setback area all a part of the process. Well, we don't know what work an update entails. I'm sure the language barrier, visual assets, writing and stuff like that needs some time. Remember the lack of sleep they were talking about because of the updates during the campaign? It's not from lack of effort or due apathy. They have a business to run as well as their Bloodstained responsibilities. Luckily they have Ben Judd and fangamer for the translation and it's not such a big deal if they are late on the update. Because as you said they no doubt have alot of other responsibilities. There are quite alot of kickstarters where you are lucky if you get one update every several months.

I think I'll go with the fourteen minute cycle. That gives plenty of time to sample both atmospheres, while constantly keeping the game fresh. Additionally, it tends to keep the player on their toes, should enemies only appear at certain times (AKA Some during day, some during night). This would actually be a good idea like maybe certain hallways where enemies only appear when the sun is down.

Given it was my day off I made a big pot of spaghetti and meatballs. I spent the rest of the day eating it, watching anime and playing telltale's walking dead season 2. Pretty un-eventful but honestly I like those kinda days.

There needs to be a graveyard in or around the castle that the player can explore.
