My friend isn't but I guess Cesar (the guy who's running the project), must be. I don't know him very well. We're all Texans, though.

That's awesome! Hope you enjoyed it. I'm pretty excited about this coming out. He (my friend) has been working on a variation of this game for about 10 years now, so it's really cool to see how far it's come!

Hey, cool, a friend of mine is on the team working on this game. I was just thinking I should've posted about it here, but looks like you were way ahead of me.

Thanks! The video was quite a process to make. I had over 20 hours of video to sift through for a 3 minute song. It was difficult picking just what in all of that to use.

Hello everybody! I'm Ramzo Wily, lead guitarist for the horrorpunk band the ReDeads, and a long time Igavania fan and on and off poster on this forum. My band wrote, recorded, and released a song based off of Bloodstained on our album that came out last Halloween called "Walk at Midnight." I'll go ahead and post the video here, but for anyone interested there's a lot more I can talk about it so feel free to read below before listening:
I actually originally wrote and recorded the demo for this song while the kickstarter was still running, but I didn't post about it then because I had to do the vocals for the demo and my singing voice is... well... horrible. So I delayed until my full band could record the song, which ended up being a long wait, and even longer until it was ready to release. I still didn't post here about it when the album was released because I was trying to make a music video for it but life got in the way and I didn't finish that video until today. So yeah. It's done now, so yay!
All the footage for the video comes from my actual first playthrough of the game, which was within the first month of release, so please no complaints about my play style (or complain, I don't actually care). I naturally gravitate toward a certain style of play that is definitely not optimum but it's how I like to play. A lot of the clips have me using the peeping eye equivalent shard (can't remember what it's called in this game), mainly because they changed how to turn those shards on and off during my playthrough and I didn't realize it until almost the end and thought it was just glitched.
The song lyrically is pretty basic - I didn't have a lot to work off of because all the information I had was from the somewhat bare bones (in terms of story) kickstarter announcement. Musically, I throw in a little nod to the Bloodstained theme. See if you can spot it. I may give a little hint in the video as to where it might be.
I also wanted to mention that our previous album, ReDeads Ate My Neighbors, featured a song called Dracula's Curse that is basically about CV3, though I was also inspired by Rondo/Symphony. I personally hate the track but everyone tells me it's better than I think it is so I guess I'll let you guys decide for yourselves if you're interested. You can check it out here:

I'm not the biggest Amano fan, but I do generally like his work. Also, for my birthday a few years ago someone got me a poster of Batman as drawn by him and I've been really wanting to have the two posters next to each other.

I absolutely loved the first game, and a co-op mode is a fantastic idea, but man, I am so devastated by it being local co-op only. I don't know if the developers noticed but there's kind of a worldwide pandemic going on right now. I can't exactly drive over to a friend's house and start playing a game with them just because.
I'd honestly rather them have made it solo only than be constantly teased with a mode I won't be able to even consider trying out for up to a year (or longer).

I got that email at the same time, and today I got an email for a shipment being readied. I'm so excited! I've had a spot picked out for this poster at all 3 places I've lived since originally backing this campaign. I've finally be able to use that space!

So the way I'm reading it in my head is like "sih," which I pronounce like "sear" without the r sound at the end, and then "wreath" like a Christmas wreath.
Thoughts? Disproofs? Arguments?

I was really worried when I read the tier description on the kickstarter about the portraits sticking out too much and looking awkward, and my first trip through the hallways I did feel that they looked pretty bad, but I actually quickly got used to it and kinda enjoyed them being there. I think the idea of only having one per wall is probably a good idea. I was originally hoping there would be, basically, a "secret room" that included the portraits so you would only have to see them that one time you go into the secret room, but honestly I don't mind this as it is now.
Also, I think we can all agree that the cat is awesome.

So I've given myself a full weekend to think about how I felt about the game, and just wanted to share my overall experience. I'm going to start with the bad, because I want to emphasize that there is way less bad then good, and these are just the things that I feel if they were fixed, would make the game damn near perfect. Here we go:
The BAD:
- The voice acting. I hate saying this, because out of any complaint I could have, this seems the most directly insulting. I promise I don't mean this as an insult, but the voice acting is absolutely HORRENDOUS. I say this as a person who has literally NEVER complained about voice acting in anything. I say this as a person who thinks the voice acting in MN9 is perfectly reasonable. Literally the only time I've ever said a bad thing about voice acting is after having completed something and then had someone TELL me the voice acting was bad, and then explain in great detail why, and then I go back through the thing and listen to it again with an ear for what they were telling me and then finally, somewhat begrudgingly, maybe say "Yeah, I guess it might kinda be bad." But in this game, the voice acting felt jarring at best, and absolutely needle-to-the-ear-drums pain at the worst. That little girl, what was her name? Ann or something? She caused me physical pain to hear her talk. I kinda feel like the voice acting maybe needs to be removed from the game entirely, but failing that at least I can play with the voice acting turned off, right? - The visuals, in places, are kinda... bad. I mean, I love the overall look of the game. I think a lot of the visuals are great. But a lot of it looks kind of... unpolished and unfinished, and I'm hoping that's the case and the game's visuals will continue to improve for the final version. There's only two spots I think really need some work, though. One is the village. It is super ugly. Mostly, it's just the color pallet. I get that there's like a blood red sky and that's maybe suppose to make everything look a little... redder? to reflect that, but... it's just ugly. Especially the rooftops of the buildings. All this should require is some reworking of the colors used, and it should be fine. The other part is that some bits of the game looks very much like bad mid 90s CGI. This is most obvious when it does that random zoom through the village up to the castle to the "Bloodstained" splash title screen. It looks like it was taking from some other video game from the mid 90s when they still thought bad CGI like that was supa cool. Maybe this was done intentionally to look nostalgic.... but if so... don't. There's nothing nostalgic about bad CGI. It's just bad. Maybe it just looked this way cuz it's unfinished. That would be fine. As long as the visuals keep improving, there shouldn't be an issue. - To be honest, the game is... a little boring. At first. Not the gameplay, which is great. It's the dialogue. There's so, so much of it. It just feels like they go on and on and on and on about every little thing. Everything is just way too over-explained. Even the opening text scroll. Two or three SHORT paragraphs at most to explain the background. We don't need a novella just to go into the game where we then get a long dialogue scene before we even get to control a character - which then is just to open a chest before going back into another long dialogue scene. This is made all the worse by the terrible and awkward voice acting, which really also makes the voice acting seem worse than it probably actually is. It's sort of an endlessly self destructive circle. Short and concise. Don't overdo it. This problem is even practically pointed out at one point, unintentionally, by the characters. After you save Ana or Anna or whatever, Dominique and Miriam and Johannes proceed to have a long conversation before the little girl is like, "Oh, by the way, I'm fine," to which Miriam basically replies, "Oh, sorry, the grownups were busy having a long and pointless conversation instead of worrying about the child who was just attacked by a demon from hell." I'm sure there's nothing to worry about. Although, thinking about it now, considering Anne or whatever's voice acting, I kinda wish there was an option to just let the kid die so I didn't have to hear her talk. And yes, I realize the irony of complaining about too much talking when I won't shut up myself.
So that does it for the bad. Now the good is... well, basically everything else. I love the way this game feels, looks, sounds, and plays in just about every other aspect from what I mentioned above. It seems like it's exactly the game I was hoping for: a game that's a bit more like Aria/Dawn than it is Symphony, while also feeling like a completely new game in the series. I again want to emphasize that even if nothing from the "bad" that I mentioned above changes - so long as I can turn the voice volume down to zero - I have no doubt that I will absolutely love the final product as much as I hoped I would when I backed this baby on day 1.

I'm sorry, I don't have much information on this, but as I was fighting Zangetsu he hit me while I was trying to backdash up the stairway leading to where you enter the room, and the game glitched and I got stuck standing there, still at at an angle, and remained stuck, unable to attack or move, until he hit me again from the other side knocking me back further into the room. As I recall, he hit me with that attack where he uses the chain to pull himself up to the ceiling and then drops down with an overhead attack, and again I was trying to backdash away from it. Unfortunately, I hadn't really experienced any bugs up to this point and I wasn't bug hunting and I wasn't expecting a bug and it happened so fast that it kinda didn't even dawn on me that something was glitchy until after the fact, and my brain was trying to race to catch up.
It's probably not especially sever since nobody else seems to have reported the issue, but it would be a very problematic glitch should it happen again.

Man, I really like the Emo haircut on Miriam. If it’s an option, I’ll probably play the whole game with that do.
In answer to your questions, I guess I have this to say:
1) Possibly a mix of both? Maybe a few customization options but mostly it would be wearable items.
2) We can assume that fashion items are common equipment because the demo showed us as much, like how putting on the attack shoes (forget what they were called) changed Miriam’s physical appearance from boots to the shoes. I’m fine with them looking bad if they offer good bonuses. Appearance is not that important.
3) No. Absolutely not. This isn’t Senran Kagura, it’s Bloodstained.
4) I’m fine with their being super “cutesy” items as long as there are also gothic items. A range of different visual appearances is nice, and if there is a range it would only be weird for cutesy to be omitted.
5) Should be minimal. Again, not Senran. But also, I like the idea of Miriam as a strong female character and dislike the idea of her as an exploitation character. There are enough games that exploit their female characters. Lets have one that doesn't.
6) To hell with realism. There’s friggin’ demons walking around like it’s normal, and you’re honestly asking if we should worry about unrealistic weapon handles? Really? The advantage of video games is that they can embrace the unrealistic. EMBRACE IT!
7) The most powerful weapon should be a knife, since using small weapons is already harder to do since it should leave you more open to being attacked. So yeah, I’m all for having every weapon type be useful throughout the whole game.
8) Meh. Hardly seems important.
9) Definitely there should be at least one weapon for each status effect, but there wouldn’t need to be more than one for each. But I’m not opposed to there being more, I just don’t know that it needs to be a priority.
10) I’m fine with katana being most powerful, but I don’t like it being miriam’s “signature” weapon. I feel like that would more appropriately be a one handed sword, or, even better, a sword whip.
11) I don’t know what you’re talking about. I almost always use mostly axes and halberds in igavanias, and only other weapons when I really don’t have a good axe or halberd available.
12) MORTE DOESN’T HAVE A SHARD!?!? Nah, I’m kidding. Really, though, this I prefer to have less speculation about and more discovering as I play the game.
