Bloodstained Podcast?

I think is a good idea, theres a lot of things going on with Bloodstained that can be used as material, I would listen to the podcast.

Pardon my ignorance, and I'll probably feel very dumb for asking this but, what is a podcast, exactly?
This could probably be remedied with a simple Google search but I figured it might be better to ask here. Also I'm too busy reading a novel. And I'm lazy. I mean, I've heard the term before but never bothered checking what it was really.

Leon, podcasts are internet radio shows. There are web interfaces and phone apps that you use to play them, or just download an mp3. The aps are nore for subscription to automatically get them when they come out.

For this one, I would probably just point to an mp3 for download and possibly put it on SoundCloud and Stitcher.

Pfft, you guys can't afford me.
Unless there will be someone I can bully, in which case I'm in.


It can be pretty cool beans if the people involved have a sense of humor and give a decent commentary.
Most of them, however, boil down to a bunch of cretins presenting their uninformed opinions as facts and vice versa, often spiced with poor jokes (and not tasteful, obscene ones).
Can't expect much more from the average podcast though, because they really are just conversations between a couple of people regarding a handful of topics.

But seriously, it sounds fun. It'd help build the community, people from Fangamer could get involved, it could recap update info, and speculate about stuff.

Hmm... I have a headset microphone, but I should probably get a snoball or yetti. I can't afford either at the moment, so I suppose headset will be the way to start. As for distribution, there's no telling what I'll do. Something free if possible. I'm already paying for a WordPress for the dear wife's blog, but I can't hijack that.

Well, I have some good news. I ran the podcast idea across Playism and Ben Judd, and it's been approved. It is independent from anything official, but it's primary goal will be to highlight things going on in the Bloodstained community. Also, you might remember a certain amazing chiptune artist called Jredd that whipped up a beat called Bloodstained Bump at my request. I asked Jredd if it would be cool if I could use his track and he had no problem with that! If you like video game music, check out what he's got blowing up right now in this Mega Man 2 collab song:

Alright, so I don't have a proper microphone and I've never recorded a broadcast like this, so it might take a while to get the first episode going. I haven't defined a format yet, so I'm open to your suggestions. I would like to release the show in between updates, and cover those as well as what goes on here. There are other Bloodstained communities out there too, and as always connecting fans will always be an interest of mine. Catching up on Reddit, Tumblr, CV Dungeon, Facebook Groups, etc. will all be part of the show.

I guess it's time to name the broadcast. I'm pretty straight forward, so The Bloodstained Community Broadcast is the first thing running through my mind. Podstained: Cast of the Night was suggested. Something with the Army of the Night would also be cool.

Bloodstained Bump... I like it. I'm sure Jredd wouldn't mind. As for 30 second intros, I don't think that would be a good idea. Imagine trying to catch up and there are 6 episodes to listen to all at once. That would get a bit repetitive at that length.
