Didn't you say you were going to use Bloodstained Bump for the theme? Well, I have some good news. I ran the podcast idea across Playism and Ben Judd, and it's been approved. It is independent from anything official, but it's primary goal will be to highlight things going on in the Bloodstained community. Also, you might remember a certain amazing chiptune artist called Jredd that whipped up a beat called Bloodstained Bump at my request. I asked Jredd if it would be cool if I could use his track and he had no problem with that! If you like video game music, check out what he's got blowing up right now in this Mega Man 2 collab song: |

Oh. The impression I got was that you were having second thoughts about the music when you said "it depends on the intro music, really", not nailing down the intro music.

Yeah, this seems like it'll be really cool. I imagine we'll get more resources for music, sound effects, etc. as production continues and more assets are built for Bloodstained  |

I am interested in listening to this podcasts! Each kickstarter update can be discussed, and also other news about Bloodstained. You can also talk about the ideas for the game that were discussed on the forum. Maybe you can even have special guests on some later podcasts when they become popular  Ben. guys from Fangamer, Armature and Inti Creates all come to mind hehe..I am not sure if other official podcasts are planned, like the ones during campaign, which I liked a lot. For the name, I like most of what was suggested, but here is another suggestion to consider: Armystained: Podcast of the night |

Well, I have decided to put this idea on hold for a good while. I tested out a recording with the headset I currently have and it wasn't of acceptable quality. The microphone I want costs a bit more than I can afford at the moment.
The good news is that I got 7 music tracks approved for use, a WordPress for the RSS feed, willing guests hosts (you all!), approval to talk about Castlevania without legal issues from Playism and Ben, a program to split Skype calls to separate files for host vs guest host editing, and some good experience in Audible for editing.
Really, all I lack is the hardware. I'm just not in a good position at this time to shell out some dough. I want that Blue Yetti mic. I was going to settle for a SnowBall, but I know I would just end up wishing I had saved up for the better option. My wife wants it too for her own creative efforts, but there are other things we need to cover before I can justify a new mic.
Sorry everyone. It might be a while, but this is something I'm still interested in doing.

So... Here's a crazy idea.
What if someone were to set up a Kickstarter to fund the start up and production of a bloodstained podcast?
A community effort, run by the fans for the fans. Completely voluntary and with a goal reasonable enough to be feasible.
Crazy.

No... no KS. All that's needed is less than $125.00. That's with a pop filter. I can cover it, but it's gonna take some paychecks to save up for. Any fan can guest host. There are a few people lining up to be on. All you need is Skype and a decent mic. Just let me know you're interested in this thread and when a spot comes up I'll look through the thread and see who's available. I would like some reoccurring guests, and never want it to just be me alone. I don't think that will be a problem though.
