Kickstarter Update #84 - Preorder, Modes, and Launch Update

Remember, Patreon isn't pre-ordering folks. It's supporting a cause that has clearly stated goals.

In reality, goals are things in any business plan that change wildly. For those of us who had to suffer through group projects in some level of school, remember the amount of BS you had to deal with to coordinate with folks?

Now magnify, amplify, and whatever that in every conceivable way.

You are giving money to support a cause. It's like charity. The culture of Patreon has become about basically pre-ordering a product that doesn't exist. That's not what it is.

Looking at the goddamn scope of what IGA was taking on as his first solo outing, he and his team made mistakes *as we all friggin' do*. They also misread the timescale of what they were creating as their resources weren't coming from Konami, which is a filthy, stinking rich off of their Pachinko lines in Japan and has a constant flow of capital.

IGA and his crew shot for the moon, and actually friggin' got there. They just didn't land when they though or in remotely the same place as they thought.

I will not miss out on the next Kickstarter, and I will give more money than the product I'm going to get, because I'm old, have a steady job, and have respect for folks trying to do what they do best in their own way.

It's a very odd thing to have folks Kickstart a business with younger folks who don't know what a business entails. I think that the folks at 505 have done their best to balance pleasing fans on a wild roller coaster while also understanding that making some decisions to completely fix the issues that arose would likely threaten the profitability and reduce the chances of *continuing as a business*.

IGA and his crew did a respectable campaign, and one that, to me, shines with as much integrity as they could muster.
