Update: Torches and Pitchforks or Champagne and Cigars?

Well, since it's up now...I'm gonna say probably both.

Dammit, I hate wine coolers.

So it goes.

Torches and Pitchforks for me. While it's nice that they are fixing the shards system they don't get a good job sticker for fixing core mechanics in their game. Most of these updates I would be able to see for myself when the game releases. Which bring me to my point of when? Shortly after the beta demo we had updates that told us they will be announcing the release date "soon" update after update we got nothing until they said that it was coming in 2019. Now in 2019 we still don't have any idea when that date is. I am a patient person but come on already. I hate to be negative but they fact that we are not even getting a broad release window something like first half of 2019 tells me that there is far more work that needs to be done then they are letting on. Although I hope i'm wrong

True he never has gone at it alone but IGA has decades of experience in the gaming industry with that experience he should be able to gauge at least in a broad since how much more work needs to be done and how long it will take. But the fact that we don't have broad release window might say that these are more then just minor bugs that need to squashed but these are in fact game breaking bugs that are going to take time to fix. Again I hope that I am wrong.  Who knows maybe IGA really wants to release it March 20 of this year and surprise everyone that would be nice. But with what little information we have been getting and the fact that the last updates stop using "soon" but instead use "2019 launch" I'm going to assume that it's not coming out till late in the year or perhaps 2020.

A little honesty is all I am asking for from the outside it looks like more then bugs. The longer you wait the more outdated and irreverent your title becomes especially when it comes to indy games. As for the good job sticker comment it's like if you were making a fighting game and bragging that you put VS mode in it. The whole shard system isn't exactly unique to rotn it's almost exactly like dos and order of ecclesia all they did was update it. So sorry i don't think they deserve praise for updating an old idea. Not that I anything against it I just feel it didn't deserved to be in this update when there is clearing other things to address.

I just want this game. Nothing else. I have an emotional attachment to Igarashi's games. I'd like to insert a rather vulgar word to emphasize my expression, but you get the point.

There will be a feast among my friends on the day of RotN's release. We will celebrate this game and enjoy it. Prepare the incense and liquor.
