I put 14min but I would rather have it 30min to 1 hour cycle... oh and would this passing time include weather?

I agree. I'd have it as a 1 hour cycle if it were up to me. It would give us more time to find unique enemies. Heck, what if the clock system allows for certain rooms to open up. Some open only at night and such.

At first glance, I think I'd want it as a play-time clock with a 24-hour cycle.

I'm hoping it has a 14 minute cycle or something around that area.

I think I'll go with the fourteen minute cycle. That gives plenty of time to sample both atmospheres, while constantly keeping the game fresh. Additionally, it tends to keep the player on their toes, should enemies only appear at certain times (AKA Some during day, some during night). This would actually be a good idea like maybe certain hallways where enemies only appear when the sun is down.

I've voted for 14 minutes cycle, but only because its the closest choice. In my opinion its too short, it should be 24 minutes, each minute counting as 1 hour in-game. So 1 second for us means 1 minute for the game clock. I got this from my old days playing Tibia. a real-time clock wouldn't be a good idea because people could mess with their system clock (PC/Video Game) to make it always be day or night or then use to cheat like they do in Metal Gear Solid 3 to kill "The End"

I went with 14 minute cycle, but only because it was the closest option to what I want. I think that the 14 minutes is too short, but I want to see the proper day-night cycle, with long enough "stages", so we'll have the time to properly feel the atmosphere (which must be properly gothic and creepy all the way through, even during the day, when the evil daystar brightly shines). Dusk/Twilight would be nice too. As for 24 hour clock, if it merely means that the one hour of game time = one hour of real time - that's too long, and may lead some people that want to gat to their favorite time of day faster *cough* night *cough* to tinker with the system clock. And if it will change depending on the system clock (like in Boktai), then I will be locked in eternal darkness (as I play mainly at evenings, or even at nights, if its a handheld), and as nice as it sounds, that won't be proper. It would be great if the passing of time and preference of one part of a cycle over the other impacted the gameplay and/or ending (story structure?) in some way, like in Legacy of Darkness or Boktai. I'll use Boktai as an example. Because of the way its clock system works, I was mainly playing during the nighttime. Now, the solar energy is vital in this game, but because I was active during the night, I needed to conserve the energy and think out of the box, be it sneaking around (first game) or abandoning sunlight altogether unless it was absolutely needed to progress (second/third game). And while the sun was intended to be used frequently in these games, I soon grew to love the sunless gameplay much more.

I was previously on-board with the 24 hour in-game clock, only really because I was used to how a certain side-quest was set up in Portrait of Ruin (and I usually just changed the time on my DS to fit the "hour-hand on the 12" requirement). I actually like the idea that Lelygax had. 24-minute cycle (1 minute real-time = 1 hour in-game time)

Whoops, just noticed an error in my last comment there. Correcting now! Anyway, it would definitely be interesting to encounter even tougher enemies after every 12 minutes, when you enter the night-time part of the cycle. "What a horrible night to have a curse!"

I love clock systems. I love how Simon's Quest depicted outdoor setting in both day and night. I love how Simon's Quest monsters were stronger at night, than during the day. I love how Simon's Quest townfolk would close up shop and lock their doors at night. I love how Castlevania 64 and Legacy of Dakrness had time sensitive events and puzzles. I love how Sympony of the Night introduced time sensitive equipment (Moonstone and Sunstone) I'd really like to see these kind of ideas return for Bloodstained, but let's hear your opinions. As flawed as it was, I was actually a HUGE fan of Simon's Quest. Even if the message time was a bit long, I did like the dynamic of the monsters reacting to the two different points in time. I would totally welcome this aspect! Ooh! What if the enemies reacted to the different moon cycles? What if bosses only appeared in certain positions of the moon?!
