In fact Galamoth, i bought Kirby Superstar last night in his honor and played through the great cave offensive. I simply had what we call, a delayed reaction. It only really hit me hard yesterday to realize that he was in fact gone.

Satoru Iwata was a programming badass.
He re-wrote Earthbound's programming code.  "When APE and HAL were working on the sequel to Mother, the development team was running into all kinds of trouble. Iwata, then president of HAL, looked at the code and said "I don’t think you’re going to be able to finish if you go on like this". "I can help you if you would like but there are two ways to proceed," said Iwata, recalling the story in 2013. "If we use what you have now and fix it, it will take two years. If we can start fresh, it’ll take half a year". The boss took what the team had, toiled away for a month, and came back with clean, rewritten, working code that would power that cult classic, Earthbound." I can't wait to play this! It's been on deck for a while now. I hope you join me @twitch.tv/sweetmonkeylovetv when I start it up for the first time.

I liked nintendo always the most...
I´m playing nintendo since my teenage days and now my kids are playing the games like me too..
The loss of Iwata ends a great time of fun and family gameplay-.-
R.I.P. my friend, because of you my kids prefer fun gaming over violence!

To cap off my tribute to Iwata-san, I am streaming my first time playing EarthBound tonight. It starts soon, between now and 9PM CST. I hope you can join in chat and help me out when I get stuck as I don't look at guides or FAQs. twitch.tv/sweetmonkeylovetv As you know, this week I have changed my avatar everyday to a Nintendo character that has a special place in my heart. We all have them right! Captain Toad, Olimar, Samus, Gengar, and Ness were what I went with. Today there is a bonus avatar, Poo!! My monster slayer friend @japansamsus gets credit for that. Before I revealed Friday's avatar he said, "Knowing you it will be Poo." (he guessed Ness correctly though). Regarding Nintendo, I have always considered them the best. I remember last year before I bought a Wii U, the people at GameStop were telling me not to buy it and I should look at a PS4 instead. It wasn't because of the sale, it was because the people behind the counter strongly disliked Nintendo and I couldn't figure it out. I still can't figure it out. If anyone is looking to buy a video game system, I would choose a Wii U. I love the Xbox and Playstation, but the Wii U has so many incredible games and Virtual Console games it's MIND BLOWING, the bang for your buck is legit. As bonus #2 my gif for the day is Simon. Don't ever forget he started out on NES.  |
