JeffCross purifyweirdshard I was able to get that shot by doing frame-by-frame on the video. Just pause and hit , and . to go back/forward one frame at a time. I know that is how you got it done but it was just so quick lol it is less then a split second... I am just giving kudos to whoever got the screenshot. Lol I didn't do that. I literally mashed the spacebar and clicked my mouse a lot until I got the frame I wanted.

Not sure if i like crafting, i mean enemy drops need to be bloated beyond 2 if you are gonna throw in a bunch of extra items like that. Or even worse enemies wont have specific drops like armors anymore because they expect you to buy/craft everything.
At least DoS had this problem where all end level weapons except RPG required a soul grind in multiple areas. Never played CoD even though i really want to but ya know ps2 disc read hell...

I'm happy to see some sort of Shard crafting for duplicates and in general it looks interesting, i'm still hoping to find some cool equipment lying around though. Hopefully some stuff is uncraftable (as in it can't be made only found). Dismantle? Option could present some interesting opertunities, depending on how it's implimented. It will be interesting to see if you can take aspects of one item and put it on another, or whether you simply get back the crafting materials for the item that's dismantled. Also anyone else think that looks like ?

Never played CoD even though i really want to but ya know ps2 disc read hell... yeah there will be 5 drops for monsters (I think most monsters or at least humanoid monsters)... it was talked about early in the development, Iga-sama said he wanted a drop for each body part arms, legs, head etc... so yeah there will be plenty of drops for each enemies... but I think there will still be weapon and armor drops. well if you take into consideration how big the castle will be... supposedly the biggest castle iga has ever made... if you fill those monsters with only weapon and armor drops... the drops will get redundant right? What I am wondering is in those 5 monster drops will there be multiple drops for each body part? like will 0ne of the hand drop be claws and the same hand could also drop a sword too? imagine if there are 2 drops per body part... that is a potential of 10 drops per monster.

I dunno if you been talking about the bat thingy, but its in Mana Ikedas art I believe. So its nice to see it rendered out. I have my ideas of what we will see in the next update, and it will just keep on rising with hype from here guys...

There are some additional points i would like to make. So i'm going to make a second analysis: Take a look at this picture where i used all my fantastic talent on paint to mark some specific spots to talk about. Color-coded for your convenience: CRAFTING TABS
The first tab probably means "all". If i'm not mistaken, it's like the game's menu. So, you can see allthe things you can craft at the moment in the first tab and select specific types of crafting at the other tabs. If you have that option, it is probably because the things you can craft are so many that if you want to find something specific, you can use the specific tabs to look for it. STATS AND INFORMATION
Not only the MP bar changed colors, but the icons also changed how they look and their overall color. Miriam's picture vanished for some reason from the gray Status area (maybe it just isn't shown while crafting, for some reason). Also, when the player looks at a weapon or armor, the bonus stats show up there, even if you can't craft it yet. MATERIALS
The materials shows how much you will have after crafting a certain piece and at the top bottom, you can select how many you wanna do. Some people complained at comments in the video, that the crafting animation will get old and boring quick. But you don't need to see it every single time. I'm sure you can skip it with the press of a button AND if you wanna craft several potions at the same time, for instance, you can choose the amout there and the animation will play just once, i guess. WEAPONS WITH DIFFERENT ELEMENT TYPES
Lohengrin, Schedar and Lightning Bolt are actually three Gram-like swords, each one enchanted with one of the three basic damage elemnets of the game (Fire, Ice and Lightning, lacking only light and dark). That made me wonder if most weapons will have that kind of variety. That would be interesting. That's all folks!

I imagine that High Potions taste quite terrible. Ultimately, I guess I'm just left wondering whether Crafting will be completely optional or if you might need it at a few specific points to actually progress.

Look at the crafting menu, bottom right says crafted. as if it counts how many of a particular item you have crafted. I can't think of a reason to include such a count unless you get benefits for crafting an item multiple times to get more 'skilled' at it or something. Though I don't know why it would have arrows pointing up and down by the number. I have no opinion on th is yet.
Early on I expressed my opinions on crafting systems, and basically I like them when the materials are more like a currency with various sources. Less enamored with them when nearly everything good requires one or more of some specific material that only drops from one single enemy. Otherwise why not just have direct drops from those enemies. Only exception being if the crafted item requires a specific drop across the board. like get the 4 very specific items from the 4 elemental bosses to craft the ____ or whatever. Otherwise I prefer a focus more on stuff like iron scraps, monster drool, undead snot, etc.

Wow, 2018 really flew by. I'm disappointed that the game still hasn't been released yet, but if they have started porting then it should be fairly soon. 2019 should finally be the year!

My thoughts on this, from the details.
Red room on map Saverooms are still in red. There is no confirmation or hint that these rooms will be used for anything other than to save. Having Johannes close to that room and not in it, makes that these saverooms goes either hand in hand across the map with similar things in them, being a multiroom, or it is just for save. The red rooms can be something else too of course.
Cooking Mama Using alchemy to make food is a treat we have seen in other games, like combining 3 lesser of the same to get a normal brew of a potion, and so on. This crafting system seems however to have its own food apartment when you check the list. The first tab is about creating things out of material, but then we have this second tab with food on it. Does that mean, cooking is something else? I mean, it would be included in the first tab if we were to create it from materials and ingredients, no?
Johannes circle There is a magical circle at the craftingtable with Johannes, I do not think it will have any function, but I could be wrong. It is a nice touch, since he care for alchemy and Miriam, that a protected barrier like a ring as such is a good thing to have, or if its a gateway to a safe location?
Johannes craftingstation NPC We knew a while back that he would help Miriam, but all suggestions points toward him not being playable. While we have seen Zangetsu in action and we know the little girl Anne will help Dominique at the shop, I still believe Dominique and Zangetsu are the other characters you play.
No bullets I can't see that they have fused together anything to make interesting bullets. I guess features like homing or spread-shoot would be a little too much Metroid? Anyway, I do think we can make a few different bullets that shoots straight, with different strengths and elements.
Shards Combine shards? Very interesting!
Breakdown Get back the materials, this would mean you might need materials only or more than an actual item if you want to upgrade. It really doesn't answer on which route it takes but at first glance it seems like you do need the main item where you want the materials to be fused with. That means, you keep the item you want, but you break down all the rest which you think you will never use. Perhaps you can only take apart the components of the materials you found on weapons, and get the basic actual weapon back along with the materials you used before? That would make sense.
The big question(s) Will we be able to find any item and weapon in the castle? Or will all the interesting items and weapons only be viable through crafting? Maybe some will be able to be crafted, and others do not? Like for example, the Swordwhip? Or will they go with the alchemy exclusive route which means you find all the items in the game through adventures, then at a later date you can upgrade them as you please. It makes me a bit worried about the "breakdown / salvage" aspect of it. Maybe I regret smashing my hammer to bits? Many questions..

(Sorry for the double post) Enkeria Red room on mapI believe saverooms are what they were before, nothing more, nothing less. The area where Johannes is looks like the village, so, the village probably has all the services. Johannes for crafting, Dominique/Anne for shopping, Saveroom to save, and maybe a teleport of some sort to get there faster. Cooking MamaI believe it is probably the same system, but they did it on a separate option to make a better organization. Johannes circleInside the church in Order of Ecclesia, you had a NPC and behind him, there was a weird, dark-looking Amphora of sort, that was never mentioned until late in the game and it was actually really really important. I wonder if that magical circle isn't the same. At first, you look at it, and it's nothing but a "alchemy thing" to make Johannes room more "alchemy-like"...until late in the game when it turns into some kind of plot point. Pure Miriam So you honestly think we will lose the weapon we found during our playthrough? That would really suck if you loss the weapon and have to create a new game for it, and if you craft something wrong? Thought on that breakdown. Salvage items which are hard to find is not a good thing. Unless crafting do have everything, and you can craft things you found earlier with materials... ? Maybe there is a cap then? Well, there are too many questions for make anything out of it actually. pockey5566 I think he looks the same as always? XD But yeah, having lost his friend and trying to help Miriam should take away some of that energy of his.
