According to reports from True-Gaming some leaker mentioned that the year of 2018 will mark the return of Castlevania in a way. Leaks are not sure if we are getting a new game, but they are pretty certain about a remake or remaster to be announced "Very soon". Take it with a grain of salt, rumors are still rumors until they are either confirmed or denied and I do not claim any of this! Did Konami finally realise the improtance of Castlevania after the success of Bloodstained Kickstarter and the Netflix TV series? hope we will know sooner or later. I think he is talking about Season 2 of the Castlevania Netflix series when he meant that the year 2018 will mark the return of Castlevania in a way.

My answer is that yes, it could still be great and still be Castlevania without IGA, there are people out there who know, respect and understand the legacy of the series and could do it justice. I've thrown out the notion before, but: Hideki Kamiya has said his favorite action game is CV1, M2 did an excellent job with Adventure ReBirth Staff from older Castlevania projects have likely not completely disappeared - though they have left Konami, I imagine they could be contacted and brought on for the project (much like how Capcom uses so many ex-Capcom employees' new groups to make their games, a la Dimps, Eighting, Inti Creates) It's definitely possible. I would even trust companies outside of the history of the franchise like Platinum and From Software to do well with it because they know game design so well, and would respect/do better with the property than perhaps anyone still inside Konami (who knows how many honest to goodness developers they still have left, and God help them). |

Okey then. So you think there is a chance I recon.So then, next question would be.. Would you rather have a Castlevania 5 or a Remastered? I checked a Megaman video about the mindset behind what made them just continue the classic franschise, why they did it a bit modern in style etc. > Megaman Trailer < What would Konami best bet to make, if they threw money at the project? Remastered edition of something we already know within Castlevania have been done a few times before, even Koji Igarashi made at least one project that I know off. Castlevania IV feels like a remastered edition already on the first one (is this correct? let me know if I am wrong on this). Would they want to introduce the same old games in a bundle instead and make it fancy with a new menu, similar how Capcom does to their franschises? Megaman Collection, Arcade Collections, Street Fighter Collections. If you would them to make a Remaster, would you also be interested if they re-released the game on the same platforms? This is a trend with Street Fighter 30th Anniversary, where the game was released, again, on Super Nintendo.

Enkeria, it's not just those two. Castlevania, Vampire Killer, Haunted Castle, Super Castlevania IV, and Castlevania Chronicles are all the same game/story. Remakes/remasters are nothing new for the series. Honestly, if they're going to continue Castlevania in some form, I have no objection to some new collections, but they've eventually gotta make something that gets me excited for the new like Mega Man 11's trailer did.
