Rumor: A Castlevania remake/remaster to be announced soon

No, it means they keep dropping the ball on everything they do anymore, lol.

Maybe let us obtain a soccer ball weapon with flavor text referencing PES? And had a feeling you were hinting at those games.

Watch them announce they're going to make non-pachinko games for forgotten fans of Castlevania and Contra, to thunderous cheers... then announce a year later that they're working on some really crappy Contra Vs Castlevania MOBA game like Heroes of the Storm, on mobile devices.

Galamoth I think you're referring to the western Castlevania slot machine they were showing for our US casinos, unless there's another game they named characters wrong. In this one, Hector was "Simon" and Dracula's name was Hector.

And btw, after the fact, I put together why they did this. It's not too hard to figure out, I think.

They needed cheap FMV assets to use and for whatever reason Lords of Shadow wouldn't work (licensing or whatever). The PS2 games are the most recent 3D games otherwise, so they pull art/scenes/characters from that. Nobody would know however who the heck Hector is, so they change his name to Simon.

Dracula becoming Hector, "Devil Forgemaster"...makes significantly less sense, but that must be the other "vampire hunter" they talk about in the videos I guess, and they're using a different design for ACTUAL Dracula who apparently is in the "game"? Probably should just have grabbed Trevor or Isaac, but the latter doesn't really wear pants so that didn't work out I guess.

Also that old thread is weird, with Goob trying to go with the angle that maybe they just redesigned Simon again. Well...in a way, I guess yeah?

Or, and this is probably the most likely thing going on there, they just screwed up. It IS just Hector/Julia/Dracula in-game and whoever was making the promotional materials just saw some names and threw it on an image because who cares.

Iga, as well as kojima, are kind of the people konami needed to stay afloat. without them, they will sink, and slowly drown.
Bloodstained I am going to nickname "neo igavania." it's the first igavania made for consoles since symphony of the night. with the amount of funding we have given them, as well as the awesome amount of support by both the community as well as the staff (Iga I hear frequently sees what the community says so I am told.) 
for all intents and purposes... THIS... is the new standard for castlevania fans. no real telling if it will live up to the hype, but i guarantee it will be better than what konami would have done with castlevania.
i sincerely think bloodstained WILL live up to the hype. At least as an Igavania game. This is kind of the first Igavania with next to no corporate meddling. This is the moment for Igarashi to Shine in the moonlight and spread his crimson wings as the king of the night!
