My creative juices flow everywhere but my fingertips. However whatever the background ends up being, I ask that it not scroll with the page, in the very same way that it does not scroll now. The illusion that the actual forum is moving on top of the background surface is ideal. Also, I don't quite remember, but wasn't the old picture that cool castle background? I don't think I quite understand the circumstances around that, as I was under the impression that the developers made this picture and put it up on the campaign:  (rehosted to imgur because of long url, comes from update 6.) Since this is gonna be the official forum I imagine we don't want to use anything belonging to anybody else. |

All of the good stuff on the castle is in the middle of the pic. I would have to reduce the width to show graphics on the sides, and it's nice having the forum be wide like it is now. So basically we need something that looks good on the top and sides, with everything else not really the focus of the image. Using official art is fine. I just can't use the images SML made from the concept art. We can make new images from the source images, but out of respect they should be a bit different. JeffCross go to Profile>Edit Profile>Settings>Forum Theme>background test Thats the image you posted above. It looks good in the upper left, but as you can tell, different monitor resolutions will bring some challenges as width will vary. |
