Why Kappa in Bloodstained?During the kickstarter campaign, IGA drew a monster on the whiteboard (later becoming an updated design here: - with a kappa as a tail. They joked about how the Kappa could not be in that monster due to restrictions, but it seems like the Kappa was a favorite somehow anyways. It is possible that Kappa, and/or this giant beast are in Bloodstained - Ritual of the Night? I for one would love to slay some nasty Kappa monsters close to the waters. I didn't know that his design was finalized, colors and all. Wow. That said, that gatling gun arm seems... overkill. Heh heh. ...And that kappa tail, it reminds me of the scorpion's tail of the manticore. It won't seem to be practical though, since kappas become weak when they lose their head water. It wasn't what I understood. The image are from someone else. During the campaign, the Kappa was joked about "we must have a Kappa!" and added last. Inti Creates gave input, saying it could become difficult to design in the game (too much stuff going on). And would very much be more of an endboss if anything. So if they would use this monster, they would cut the Kappa. With small tweaks, they could perhaps make both of these monsters reality. After defeat, the monster lays down in a special pattern, so Miriam can use the gun to blast down a wall so she can progress out of the room. Kappa are mostly a cool thing since I like Ninja Turtles.

...You're telling me was completed by a fan? Fair enough.
Yeah, you can't use a big guy like this for the beginning, unless... And yes indeed, it's possible to change designs, this is why they're called concept art pieces.
Oh and kappas are quite malevolent. They're not your friendly reptilian ninja heroes living in Manhattan's sewers.

I had this crazy idea.. Inspiration from video below. Big demonic skeleton, with a fierce ribcage, four arms and horns. Can magical fly, transforming the ribcage to "wings" also a way to stab you! Image as bonus Inspiration from these videos!

Not sure if anyone has put forth this possibility or not yet, but how about enemies that have been taken over by the crystal curse? Either a specific type of enemy or just an effect that creates alternative versions of regular enemies. This seems like an interesting if not obvious route to go.

Either a specific type of enemy or just an effect that creates alternative versions of regular enemies. This seems like an interesting if not obvious route to go. I think the idea for why most of the Demons in this game show up is because they're attracted to the inherent magic of the crystal curse. Most demons occasionally drop crystal Shards upon defeat, too. A few of us have already come up with enemies that seem overtaken by these Crystals, and I think purifyweirdshard suggested the idea of corrupted alternate versions of enemies in a previous BCB video.

Yeah, even more than that, an entire "cursed castle" as this game's inverted castle where the majority of the enemies have been enhanced by crystal growths. The platforming and exploration is changed up too due to the stained glass crystal breaking everything up and changing the landscape.
Crystal golems and dragons where the monster is made up almost entirely of the curse itself are great ideas too.

I liked Angel's answer about the skeletons it makes it seem like the devs are aware. I wonder what kind of changes we could see.

So I had an enemy idea that I'm not sure was mentioned so if so ignore my post.
I really like it as a medusa head replacement.
Mummy Heads
They float around and use their wrappings to restrain you. You use the same function as being turned to stone of shaking to knock the wrappings off. Also when they shoot their wrappings their faces get exposed.

Dullahammer Heads might be a light version, and these Mummy Heads could be the cursed ones. Like, the yellow version of Medusa that actually turns you into (stone) something interesting. Mummies would fit too if they had a trail of flowers and herbs after them, since Mummies got spices and such together with, brace yourselves.. Palm WINE. When it comes to what kind of curse? I would suggest either that Miriam gets groggy and stands still, or actually turns into a stained rose, but not as a 'curse' in that matter, but as the curse itself protects her from the threat...
