At this link you can see the campaign for Blasphemous, a 2D side-scrolling action adventure games from The Game Kitchen, the indie studio responsible for what in my opinion is the best point and click series in a long time, as well as one of the best Lovecraft-inspired games ever made, The Last Door. I feel that this game is particularly significant for this community, because a great source of inspiration is quite obviously Castlevania. Recommended for fans of Castlevania, Berserk (especially the Inquisition Saga), Dark Souls and Bloodborne! It looks really amazing, have a look Also, for a game still in pre-production, the art and animations look INCREDIBLE.

The spritework is amazing, though aside from Bloodborne, the aesthetic also reminds me of Gyossait.

Creative characters and enemy designs are a rarity in these kind of games. I've seen hundreds of 2D Castlevania/Souls clones for years now. It seems we hear about a new one every few weeks. But this is the first one I'm actually considering backing since Bloodstained back in 2015. Even if the game is crap, more enemy art would make it worth it to me.

I'll check it out. estebant: the style is really on point. I bet it'll also have great gameplay, because in these months on pre-production the devs shared their project on FB and they're already thinking about little fine details about the combat system and what not. For example, if you get hit by an enemy while standing back to the wall, the enemy is pushed a little backwards to ensure you don't get trapped and stun locked to death.

Just pledged 60 dollars + 6 shipping for the printed artbook. I don't have the money for much more, and the higher level rewards don't appeal to me as much as Bloodstained's did, but a physical copy of the artbook seems very nice That said, I do like the stretch goals...setting aside money to hire extra team members seems very sensible to me.

Yup, that sounds really in the game's favor. I feel that sometimes Kickstarter campaigns provide too many unnecessary or outright detrimental stretch goals (such as porting to every platform in existence, it's not like that's good by default).

Overk 200k at the moment. I hope they get to 210k to get the OST with real instruments, Viola's compositions are just incredible.

Although notice that it's "enhancing" with real instruments. That doesn't mean it's going to be a fully orchestral OST. But that's still pretty cool....!

It's so nice to see that you're interested in this, Mana yes I absolutely recommend to check out The Last Door, especially if you have any kind of interest in Edgar Allan Poe and Howard Phillips Lovecraft's works. I've played no game that captures the peculiar atmosphere of those literary works that well. Genuinely scary, chilling atmosphere with an incredible OST and visuals full of character. There are 32 hours left and the next stretch goal is voice acting at 300.000 $! Which would be six times the original goal, it's insane for a studio like that

The campaign ends in a little less than two hours with currently $327,442. Voice acting is secured, and more! I doubt we will be getting the $350,000 stretch goal but I don't really care about that either. I'm just happy for the devs, this was a triumph (ah, the Portal influences).

The quick answer: no, the PayPal amount isn't included in what you SEE in Kickstarter. But the people running the Kickstarter project "add on" the PayPal amount in order to determine the total funding (and for the 'goals').
Kickstarter and PayPal aren't linked. If people running the project are wise, they will not open a PayPal option until they've secured their Kickstarter goal -- the problem is that PayPal takes your money right away, but Kickstarter will only take your money at the end of the campaign, IF the campaign hit its goal. If you opened up PayPal before the KS goal was met, there's a chance you could end up w/ the KS failing (and getting nothing there), but still have money through PP -- that would be awkward.
But again, every KS campaign that I've seen that opens PP has combined both amounts to determine the official stretch goal total. BS did this as well.
