If you use norton antivirus it marks the exe file as a virus and deletes it. You can disable sonar in advanced options for 15 minutes and load the game as a workaround but that does leave your pc vulnerable for that time.

Trying to play this on Windows 10 and it is not letting me even open the game. Tried reinstalling it several times and that fails. It fully downloads, but nothing else. Would like to comment on the demo, but I can't access it.

When trying to launch it do you get any error message at all?
Do you get an error in steam?
Do you get an error after the game window has launched?
Try to be more specific, help us help you! =]

I'm having some graphical/shader bugs in my demo. When on fullscreen, the entire screen has a filter of red and some of the graphical effects (lanterns being shattered, shard powers, etc.) after they happen, cause a sort of freeze-frame-like picture in that filter in the background that never goes away. Switching to windowed mode fixes it, but as soon as I go back to fullscreen, that red filter comes back so I have to play in windowed. However, this effect does not show up in Steam screenshots! It's the grey highlight that's supposed to only show up if Miriam is behind something so you can still see her, but it is showing up the whole time so it covers Miriam as well as chests for some reason. Miriam's clothes are covered in grey. Same with most chests. This always happens every time I play. As for the Miriam and chests glitch, I'm stumped. I'll try re-downloading, but not much else I can think of on that one. EDIT: Re-downloading didn't fix anything. Here's my specs: OS: Windows 10 64-bit Processor: Intel i5 4670K @ 3.4GHz Memory: 8GB RAM Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 1080 8GB

Leon You can also jump in midair if you press jump immediately after walking off the ledge of any surface. Edit: Though, after reading up on it a bit, this may be an intended mechanic to mimic behavior in Symphony of the Night.

I had used a PS4 controller for the demo and the controls were rather off compared to what they were explained to be in the tutorials. Jump and slide was circle (B) Attack was Square (X) AND Triangle (Y) but only Y would work in the air. X (A) did nothing except exit menus Another glitch I experienced was you can get stuck running left even with your hands off the controls. I've recreated it more than a few times, (some of it purposely). If you jump diagonally to the left, attack in the air to the right, sometimes you can get stuck running left. Crouching or jumping sometimes stops it, but not always. It's pretty easy to recreate. The PS4 controller worked perfectly for me. I'm using DS4Windows v1.4.401 to connect it.

Hello,
Having a problem where I can see the game's title screen playing in a windowed mode if I have another window open, but when I select it, it goes into fullscreen, locks up, and the screen goes fully black while the music continues to play. The only option to close the program is Ctrl+Alt+Del and use Task Manager to close the program. Task Manager tells me that the program is running, but when I select it, it changes to "Not Responding." When I close the program out via Task Manager, it tells me that "Unreal Engine has stopped responding." Any help would be greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
Computer stats: Windows 7 64-bit SP1 Intel Core i7 processor @2.80 GHz 24GB RAM Nvidia GTX970M
Edit: Finagling around with the menu settings in a background window with the controller has it working in windowed mode, 1600x900. 1980x1080 makes it dip below the taskbar and I can't move the window. Still, would like to get the fullscreen maximum resolution game to work.

Try to be more specific, help us help you! =] I get the unknown error message whether I launch from steam or the Windows icon. Also I have none of the mentioned programs that might mess up the game.

I also cannot launch the demo. I get an error message reading: "RON-Win64-Shipping.exe - Application Error The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application." Googling this tells me to reinstall DirectX (which I have), reinstall .Net Framework (I have), and to check that I'm not trying to run a 32-bit executible in a 64-bit environment (I'm not). I'm running Windows 10 64-bit, Intel Core i5-2320 processor x4 @ 3.0 GHz, 8 GB of RAM, NVidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti.

I recommend instead of bogging down your computer with horrible hard-drive scanning software that shortens its lifespan, simply be smart and don't run executables you've obtained from the internet that aren't from reputable sources. That's all it takes to not get a virus. Avoid program hosting sites like cnet.com like the plague, since they wrap the actual program's installer inside of an extra installer that puts spyware etc on your computer.

The demo only properly supports XInput controllers, so if you're not using one, there will probably be some odd behaviors. I don't think the Dualshock 4 has native XInput support, so you'd probably have to use XInput wrapper/emulator software like DS4Windows, InputMapper, or something similar to get it to function more correctly, as giwagiwa pointed out. If you're not using an XInput wrapper, try that out? If you're already using an XInput wrapper, then maybe see if you can try a different controller? I, too, have noticed button conflicts, but only when using a non-XInput controller. I've actually seen the "stuck running left" thing happen with an Xbox 360 controller on Windows 10, which is odd because the Xbox 360 controller is natively supported on Windows 10 and is an XInput controller, so it should be the most compatible controller I can use for this demo. Oddly, I don't think I had this happen while using my Logitech Dual Action, which is not an XInput controller. Been trying to see if there's something wrong with the controller I'm using, or if this is repeatable with other controllers or the keyboard. I had been hoping this was just a problem with my controller and not actually a bug, but seeing another user report it makes me wonder.

I was able to slide on a fall-through platform by landing on the very tip of its edge. This is so hard to reproduce it's probably not worth fixing.

Attacks did not strike foes and spells failed to activate occasionally, I had to medal with some things to get the attacks to hit again. Also, the activation of commands as a whole felt really unresponsive.
Almost all the problems were eliminated once I switched from full screen to windowed, it was kind of unexpected though since it doesn't seem to be a very demanding demo. Optimizing necessary?

Sounds like you're running into issues that stem from low FPS. This happens when the input listening loop is running at the same frame rate as the physics and graphics loop(s). On my computer where everything runs at a perfect 60 fps all the time, I had responsive controls.

Mana its hard to notice, but with the kung fu shoes equipped miriams kicking foot in crane stance jiggles like the bone position change during the extension is conflicting with the ready stance position and so its bouncing back and forth between the 2 states (that or her foot is somehow gaining physics engine values it doesnt know what to do with)

the action you turn left or right has a bug(if this is a bug) ,when you go right and you turn left , the action of turn left can not completely connects the action of walk , like a log , but if you just stand then you turn around , there is no problem like this

Hello,
Thanks for opening this thread for feedbacks. As many others, I had a fatal error crash at the start of the game (after hitting 'New Game'). This is my config I took into System Information. I also had lags and low FPS because, as you can see, my PC isn't powerful enough. The fun fact is the game was smoothier in fullscreen mode than in windowed mode. After trying to load the game properly multiple times, I finally managed to play the game and it was still playable and enjoyable.
So, I tried again in windowed mode because I thought I would gain a bit of FPS and reduce the lag but it happened I got regular freezes (1-2secs) and it was barely playable, sadly. How I kind of fixed the fatal error : Applying in windowed mode then going back to fullscreen (1920*1280).
So far, I have not so much to tell. I will post again if needed.

You can get stuck between a fall-through platform and the ceiling during a room transition - it looks like it takes a bit to load in the platform collision sometimes.
