They hit all the story expansions. Now it's just some ports left. The Eshop version is up next last I checked. I played the demo, I had fun with it for what it was. I'm very interested in the story line and I want to see if they can pull it off. Gameplay is standard turn-based in the demo. I found quite a few secrets and some sections where I was in a spotlight. I don't know if it was a hallucination, but it did catch me off guard. I got both endings.
I'm definitely backing this.

Today while at work, a cute girl walked past the company car I was driving. I was parked at the time, it was about 12:30 to 1 AM. I guess she caught me checking her out, so she says Hi, I say hi back. Then not even 1 second later, out of nowhere she says to me "You should go to church!" I didn't really know how to respond other than "Will you be there?" She nodded and drove off. I think the last thing she said to me was "You should think about it." Either Yaweh used my weakness for cute women and sent one of their servants to possess her, Michael, Remiel, or Metatron...or as I like to call him BETAtron. That or she's a somewhat socially awkward church girl. This WAS Walmart, so who knows what I was dealing with. In all seriousness, I checked out to see just how many churches were in the area I was working. At the time, I figured there were only a few churches she MIGHT have been referring to. Reason being, that area was very hill and valley-ish with everything spread out so far from each other. I didn't think there was much of a community, let alone a church community. Turns out there are several churches.
So my question becomes, what exactly did she want me to do? I never got a specific church name, I never got her name, and I definitely don't know what brought it on. Hence the Dogma/SMT humor. In other news, I started my horror movie stint with Night of the Creeps with my bro. It's by the same guy who made Monster Squad. It was great, I think I liked it more than Monster Squad, and that's saying something.

Beat Shantae and the Pirate's Curse. Got the true ending.
What to do next? Well my plan is still Silent Hill 2. I also have a plethora of horror movies I need to get through. This is the first time I'm taking anything Halloween related to heart. I usually ignore it since the macabre isn't really my thing. I then realized I missed out on some great stuff, so I'm changing that. Dunno which movie I'll start with. I think I'll go with Friday the 13th, since the 13th was yesterday and it isn't Friday today.

My only response to Goob as far as the donation situation is... Thorani looks so pretty! Shantae's cousin? Millia Rage's younger sister? My favorite is Vasco so far, I love westerns.

During my down periods and breaks at work, I play Shantae and the Pirate's Curse. The fact that there's no dancing this time around upped the pace of this game significantly. I can't believe I'm saying this of all people, but I gotta go fast! I'm playing this so far with no hints or guides. So far, I'm doing more than well, but those extra squids and tinkerbats are starting to grate on my nerves. I spend hours just running around looking for another solution to that one extra JUST out of reach. On the upside, I get to experience more of the soundtrack... Speaking of which, I think this is Kaufman's best work so far. He took what he learned from the first Mighty Switch Force, Double Dragon Neon, and Shantae: Risky's Revenge into a Plague Knight style cauldron. I kid, but those first 3 influences are definitely prevalent. I just wish he would have remixed/added "She's Got Moves" song too. It was my favorite song from Risky's Revenge beating out Burning Town and the File Select song which BOTH returned in Pirate's Curse: Heck the remix of it he personally made for OCremix would have been perfect for this game. It was even featured in one of the first trailers: Here's the trailer!

I'm dead tired. Pulled off a graveyard for 8 hours in addition to 4 more hours. 12 hour workday. Grand. I also found out that I was short changed in my upcoming check. I have to go down to the main office and fix it. Oh boy...
I also have to take care a few things up at a different office. I'm hoping to take care of it really quickly.
Other than that, listening to this song.

They didn't have to do this. Lab Zero always loves to please the fans. They updated the prototype. Since the prototype doesn't have some sort of patching system, you have to re-download it. Give it a look. Here's the changelog: "Here's a list of what's changed! - Added an option in Settings to have battle buttons NOT switch when party formation faces different direction. This was the #1 request, so we added it! * You can also set whether the lifebar display matches the characters' positions or the buttons. Test it out to see which you prefer. - Bugfix: Pressing F1 at control config from the pause menu with no controllers connected no longer locks out all inputs for Ajna. - Bugfix: Banner messages (tutorials, etc) no longer appear in the wrong place if one is triggered while a previous message is still displaying. - Added tutorial text for the Party Guard button (L1) the first time a multi-target attack happens. - Fixed incorrect level collision for some ceiling pieces that led to holes that let you go out of bounds. - Added a version number on the title screen, today's is 10-7. " Also, I love this twitter page. Responds to everything.

I was thinking that this kickstarter would go either way given what I heard happened the first time they tried something similar to this. I'm actually kind of glad it did go in this direction. Now I'm sitting here wondering if I should back it. I do want a physical copy, however 32 days may not be enough time for that. We'll see what happens. PS: I still have some PTSD from this series, so there's that. Actually, I'd love for them to make a Valgern-On game. I know it's basically Virtual-On, but come on. Dat speed. I want to play it myself... PTSD, you mean, THAT sudden scene? If yes, I think everyone who played Alternative has PTSD, lol Oh no, there are quite a few scenes before and after that that I got it from. It even started in Unlimited. Call me a guy who got waaaaaaaaaaay too comfortable in Extra.

There was a concerted effort to fan translation Ace Attorney Investigations in Spanish. The Spanish are coming and their tastes must satiated. Seriously though, the multiple languages option for text and subtitles at the very least is a must.

I wish I could experience Silent Hill 2 for the first time again. I've held off for years just to try and forget so I go in as fresh as possible. You going with the HD version, or original? Guacamelee is excellent, especially if you like platforming challenges. SO HAPPY IT EXISTS. I'm almost at 100 percent with MGS V, then moving on to Dancing All Night and whatever else. 999 is of course there. ALWAYS TEMPTING ME. Might start SMT IV in lieu of the SMT IV: FINAL announcement. I am going into the original. The HD version is terrible so I didn't buy it. 999, VLR are two of my favorite video games and two of my favorite visual novels ever made. Give it a go when you can. Go through one route on your own, and then find a 999 flowchart. Just in case.

Alright guys. Now is your chance. Spread this like syphilis....wait I mean spread this like fire! Yeah, that's what I meant...
If I like the prototype, I'll back it at 60. If I find myself not liking it, then it goes to 30 with heavy feedback. I am soooo going to feel the hole in my wallet, aren't I? :S

This entire series. Ninjas, Mechs, and humor to sum it up. Solid games across the board. I heard good things about the DS game too, but not much. That one is probably the most obscure of the bunch, and it's the last game in the series. The N64 games even got the guy who sang the Dragonball openings and the guy who sang quite a few 70's mecha anime openings. The music is also really good across the board. Music examples:

Voice of Beowulf from Skullgirls gives an overview of combat in the prototype. Very opinionated, but that's fine. I found myself agreeing with him anyway.

I just beat Shadows of Mordor. I'm glad that I didn't pay for it. I got it for free from a family friend who worked on it. I was enjoying it at first, but that ending was horrible. It started to really get interesting when I was playing with the Uruk chain of command system. I didn't like the main character Talion, I didn't like this version of Celebrimbor, and I didn't spend all that much time with the other characters. I almost liked Torvin, but I didn't spend that much time with him. I guess that's what the DLC is for, but come on. It all left me cold, I did finish with about 92% completion, so I'm glad I'm done with it. I might come back for the DLC as I did get the game of the year edition, but that's for much later.
I've put it off for too long. With Hallow's Eve coming on the horizon, I will FINALLY start playing Silent Hill 2. In the meantime, I'll try squeezing in Guacamelee, inFAMOUS, and Tales of Symphonia HD. We'll see what happens, but the number one priority is SH2.

I like his older works, but his recent works at Grasshopper always felt bland. As good as he is, I don't think he fits well with Grasshopper's lineup. Masafumi Takada was perfect, but he left. If he can captivate me like he did with his older work, I'm all for it. I think Yoko Shimomura would be a good fit too if anyone has heard her Parasite Eve work.
I think Yamaoka might have been inspired by it with this piece:
So, my answer is yes it would be cool. However, I think he lost some of his mojo.
