relaxed by alucard working with the forces of darkness, but after seeing the demo vid it is certainly possible. I had assumed you knew how to modify values for stats and such, I fel you are overpowered in castlevania games as it is without adding.... alucards greatness into the mix. Yea as you can see in the vid its more of a "temporary truce" against a common enemy (the common enemy is revealed later in the game), Dracula still has his hatred for humans and for Richter/Belmont clan so Alucard would never join him fully because of that and Dracula would only work with Alucard because its his son and would still try to kill Richter. And I wish I could edit values to make the game harder but I just do not know how, if you know anywhere or anyone I can learn it from please point me in their direction since I would love to learn if possible, I'm still trying to get the hang of music hacking myself and trying to find someone to teach me that.

Noooo the endiing! Oh well, looks finished to me! Yea I know it looks done but sadly there is still much to do lol, I still have some of Alucard sprites to add such as his sliding down sideways and large weapons animations, I also have to finish adding the rest of the sprites for other characters since so far I only have their base sprites replaced and none of their actual moving sprites, then I still have to work on Dracula and Richter's battle sprites and then work on the weapons since for some odd reason AOS has a weird mechanic where the arm is actually attached to the larger weapons with it own palette and look, i have to go through all the weapons and get their palettes and then edit the arms to match Alucard's. Still much to be done lol.

wow. everything seems just a little too relaxed with the story . besides that, will any of your hachs actually include ghameplay balancing? What do you mean by "to relaxed"? Care to elaborate a bit? Also, as far as gameplay balancing goes that would require extensive knowledge of the game code itself, that is some advanced hacking right there that few possess, in fact I have not seen any AOS hacks that changes the core gameplay itself since that would require tools and knowledge that is not just out there on the web, the closest thing I have seen is Tonyjih adding new gameplay modes for separate characters and even with that does not change the core gamplay itself but merely builds on top of it. Long story short do not expect me to be rewriting the gamecode itself to add new gameplay mechanics and difficulty since that is out of my range of expertise sadly, these hacks are a way to bring some replayability to a great game by adding new character,souls,and weapon sprites and story elements. One thing I would love to do is add new music however, I may talk to Tonyjh about that one to see if he is willing to help.

Hey guys, for those who are fans of my last Future Alucard hack you probably saw one of my videos where I gave a preview of the a SOTN related Alucard hack, this hack will be titled Castlevania Dawn of Symphony, it will serve as a direct sequel to Castlevania Symphony of the night and will feature many returning elements as well as characters from SOTN. The story was really done in a very convincing way and I feel fans will have fun uncovering the many references within the story to SOTN as well as how the events of this game ties into SOTN as a sequel to it. Returning characters from SOTN include Alucard Shaft Richter Belmont Maria Dracula Succubus Special thanks to Jop/Julian for the new Alucard sprites and Caminopreacher for the new story. Here are some images of the hack, I will upload a gameplay video later which will show the hack in action as well as give a glimpse at the new story. Images

-UPDATE-Ok here is the official hack release eveyone! Just wanted to let everyone know that I am going to be releasing some updates for this hack at a later date, the thing is that I recently learned how to palette hack correctly and as such I feel I can go back and correctly import some of the sprites I added to the game, the thing is that if you have the correct palette swapped and loaded ingame beforehand then once you add new sprites they will show up as they where intended to, my problem was that since I did not know how to get the correct palette address of the sprites i as importing I instead edited the existing palette to closely resemble the intended one, I can now get a much better result with my new tools and knowledge for palette hacking so expect some updates for those sprites at a later date, also be sure to stick around for the end of the video for a preview of my newest hack. - UPDATE -
Ok here is a update to my Hugh Baldwin hack that will finally get weird of the weirdness of having 2 Hugh Baldwins within the game, so now you have Nathan Graves replacing Hugh's ingame and battle sprites so you can now battle Nathan Graves himself (although with Hugh's movset), enjoy.

UpdateOk I managed to tweak the Future Alucard portrait myself, first I decreased the colors for the palette to exactly the amount supported by gba (It had around 40 different colors lol) so now its only working on a palette of 16 colors, because of that the quality of it is not perfectly aligned with the original but thanks to lowering it down instead of importing it as is I was able to get a much more better put together portrait than the last one, I also used cropping for the image in order to keep the image as close to possible as its original shape and not have it squashed down to fit the 78x78 resolution like I did with the previous portrait, Here is my work, I think its the best I'm going to get at this point given the limited palette, at least its better than what I had before.

-Update-Ok so I was having a problem with getting the image portrait replaced correctly because I was using Tile Molester to edit the palette instead of Advanced Palette Editor, once I switched over the colors loaded ok, the problem was that the SOTN Alucard portrait used far to many colors in its palette to look passable (I think it was over 20 colors in the palette and GBA only supports 16) so I went and used a different Alucard portrait instead. Here are some images of some of the portraits replaced, The top one is from the future Alucard hack, I used the same image as the one in my youtube video but like the SOTN portrait it uses so many colors that it did not load perfectly, but in comparison to the SOTN one that I was using this one came out looking passable so I decided to keep it. The second image is from a hack I plan on making after this that I am going to call Castlevania Dawn of Symphony which is going to replace Soma's sprites with new Alucard sympony of the night inspired ones although they will be more unique and different from his from Symphony of the night since they are being made from scratch by Julian/Jop.

-UPDATE -Ok so here is the long delayed update concerning this hack lol, I am pretty much at 98% done with the project at this point, All I am waiting on is for caminopreacher to get done with the story and also how to figure out a way to get the palette for the Alucard dialogue portrait loaded correctly. Here is a picture of how the portrait looks currently, As you can see part of the palette did not load on some parts of the image at all which is why some of it is see through while the rest just is not mapped correctly, worse comes to worse I may just have to leave it as black and white, at least that way its not Genya Arikado's portrait for a Alucard hack.

- UPDATE -
Well here is a bit of a update with the hack, it is pretty much 99% done and I'm just trying to figure out a way to get the mist transformation to work correctly since I ran into issues with getting a correct palette to look right ingame, I may just do away with it and release the hack as is but I plan to give it one more shot real soon and the hack should be released before the end of the weekend.
Here is a gamelay video, for those who don't like filters they will have to wait until the official hack release video that I am going to make real soon to release the hack and show off more features, in that video there will be no filters.

Hello, this is a hack I am working on the features I future version of Alucard, the sprites are based off of this artwork here, This hack will be using the Genya Arikado hack as a basis, so all the symphony of the night features that where in that hack will be carried over such as the Fairy Familiar, Sword Famiar, Alucard shield etc, I also may add more symphony of the night elements to this hack, one thing I have planned is to replace the panther dash soul with a new updated wolf form for this Alucard, I will have to see what Julian/Jop can come up with first. - UPDATE -I'm here to give a bit of a glimpse of what is to come, I finally figured out how to change all of Soma's dialogue portraits to that of Genya Arikado, Special thanks to caminopreacher for the assistance, I'm still trying to figure out how to change the pause menu portrait which is a lot trickier. Afterwards I will start work on the storyline rewrite. Ooh, I wonder if the Julius fight will have similar dialogue to the Maria fight in the Dracula X Chronicles PSP port of SotN? It could turn out that way, stay tuned for my information concerning this , I plan on releasing more scenes as time goes by showing bits and pieces of the new storyline before I release the new version.
