I hope we can share the dungeon seeds without beating it as well. I've been playing lots of co-op games lately, and it is definitely much more fun and memorable with a friend. I hope we are able to co-op dungeons with some friends, being able to spit up and sharing what we've found (such as keys or items/weapons that suit each other's playstyle). It may be too much to ask, but maybe giving us updates and new bosses/enemies via the Dungeon Mode system from time to time would be really sweet (if Bloodstained does become a big success of course). So many possibilities with this feature alone could prolong this first game in the IP so much.

The expert hardcore mode was suggested as more of thing to do on the side instead of it being the main server. I'm excited to see how the hub system will turn out!

Today's the day I shave my head (so good bye 8 inches)! I like using hair length to remind me of how long I've been doing something. I plan on growing my hair out until I finish University at least. Oh man you gotta post pictures! (only if you're comfortable with doing so) I'm back from the introduction course and it went really well! ^_^ Woo! Glad the course went well! For sure! I didn't take many good pictures lately that show how my hair was too accurately, so I took a picture from the 4th of July for comparison! Here's some quick bad-quality before and after pics: Every time I grow out my hair, it grows out really different. Here's one of last year for example: I'm excited to see how it'll grow out this time! Hopefully majestic! haha.

I used to make games in Flash and Gamemaker back in high school (around 3 years ago now) for a Game Development class. Recently I've been learning JavaScript. You are thinking of making a platformer right? It's usually a good idea to have most of the concepts planned out ahead of time so that the game feels more uniformed and less of a mess, especially if you have multiple people working on it. Making games is most fun when made as a hobby and without deadlines, so yep! It's also really nice to learn to appreciate what the developers/designers have to go through to make our games today possible. Unfortunately, University start soon for me so I won't have too much free time to help ((Videos like this are nice to learn how developers did certain effects in games, like the Mario Sunshine water!)):

Not sure if this topic has been brought up yet, but it is related to Castle Design (and a bit of Boss design). I am speaking of environmental impacts from the Megaman X series. You defeat a certain boss/level, and it affects other regions. I like the idea behind this because we can make it intentionally easier, or harder on ourselves depending on how we tackle the castle.
A quick concept on how it could work in terms of ROTN: We enter an armory, and it is relatively difficult to travel through due to the unique armed enemies that inhabit this region. Maybe we skip the armory for now, and instead take on a boss that happens to take place in a region above the armory, and the boss fight ends up with us collapsing through the floor into the main weapons stock below, effectively breaking most weapon/armour in there. A positive for this approach is that it opens up easier travel through the armory region, by taking away the weapons that fuel the foes there, and also creating a shortcut between two regions (from the collapsed floor). A negative to this approach could be that we may have missed some good weapons/armours in the armory if we didn't get it before the boss' demise.
If something like this is implemented though, then I believe there should also be an option to not destroy the environment as well. For example, maybe I want to get through the default armory later once I am stronger. Then there should be multiple ways to fight a boss, one that doesn't involve destroying the floor to kill it.
Even though I know it probably won't be possible too often, if this option is available even just a few times, that'd be great. This'll open up a more organic feel to the game with our choices having actual impact in the world, and it'll vary our experiences and paths through the castle as well as making it stand out that much more from other Metroidvanias.

Just found out that Kojima and Del Torro are still wanting to continue their Silent Hills project, just without the Silent Hill name. Not sure how far they'll get, but at least there is hope for a game from them in the future! (Also I know it isn't really a spiritual successor since the game will never come out, but spiritual replace replacement doesn't sound that much better). Check out the article here

Hello Everyone. I'm looking forward to backing Bloodstained as soon as I see that Paypal Slacker Backer pop up! I was hearing ppl on the Shenmue 3 KS talking about Bloodstained but when I looked it up the project was over. Castlevania was pretty epic as were the sequels so hearing this title is now a reality I must support it. Are there any estimates when the Paypal will be in place. Thanks!
