Now that I'm thinking about it, shouldn't there be some sort of minimum value for HP and MP, or at least HP? Liiiike... 1d50+50? Randomly rolling characters that can literally get taken out of action by stubbing their toe isn't fun.
Or even determined by starting Constitution. So like, 50 + Con x10. In which case, MP could likewise be 50 + Int x10, more or less.

Last but not least, Luck determines whether or not you score a critical hit. To score a critical, you must roll at least a 15 (counting your luck bonus) on a d20. That's going to happen REALLY often for most characters. Are you sure you don't want to at least make it a 20?

Technically thats not true, it was announced the game would not be done in Castlevania style sprites, but in 2.5D Graphics. Meaning the game will have 3D graphics bit done on a 2D plain, like Smash Bros. or Dracula X Chronicles. We're talking about sprites that will be used for the 2D prequel game and the retro bonus area in the main game. We know what kind of graphics the main game will use. I'm pretty sure everyone who cares knows at this point.

That's why I haven't started it yet. I'm waiting for someone to apply for at least one of the main characters before I create the actual RP thread. You WANT that? Alright, I'd like to officially submit my application to play Gebel, since I was looking forward to doing some good old antagonizing. I was gonna make an original character for that that was a demon, but if you're encouraging people to play canon characters, I'll do Gebel. I'll deliver a sample of my writing to you later today to qualify, I'd like to put some thought and effort into this. EDIT: Also I need to do some things around the house first. Sent.

Has anyone ever thought about the concept of a weapon with life? Like, with feelings, transformations and other things, you know, a brain and thoughts? I don't know how it would work, hell, even if this is a good idea or not, but for me it sounds interesting. Swordbro Sword familiar from SotN was kind of like that, I guess? So like that, except more complex.

Hmm, alright, might as well do this. Iga, if you were actually reading this, this is what I'd say to you about all of the discussion that goes on in this forum: I wouldn't worry about it too much. With all due respect to everyone involved - all of those ideas are great - most of them probably won't, and even shouldn't actually be used in the game. While an idea might seem, and may in fact be great on its own, a gameplay mechanic never stands on its own and needs to fit in with the rest of the game in a cohesive way that makes for a solid experience as a whole. An idea, no matter how good, shouldn't be used just because of "popular demand" if it would clash with a system that's already designed and in development. Iga knows what kind of game he wants to make, and what kind of thing it takes to make it, with a team of very talented creators, and his signature direction style that already admits and allows for great creative input from the rest of the team. Too much community input could just turn the game into a hot mess at this point. All of this brainstorming of game systems that takes place on this forum is mostly for our own enjoyment and to pass the time, really. The kind of community ideas that have the best chance to actually make it into the game are probably item and weapon designs, since those have no chance of compromising the gameplay experience. And yeah, the second half of the post was less for Iga and more for you guys so you understand my reasons for saying that.

I don't think there will be INTENTIONAL glitches, but while watching some of the speedruns, Iga said "If we find something and it doesn't break the game for people trying to play normally, we might leave it in for the speedrunners." and so did the devs of Ori and the Blind Forest. Actually, maybe he got it from them.
So, not intentional, but "we'll leave it in" glitches, probably.
