Happy Easter Sunday Everyone!
As many of you already know, I'm a content contributor for Bloodstained and the Easter Bunny is one of my content ideas.
The Easter Bunny raises questions about holiday themes and calendar events. It may be an overreach. And Igarashi has the final say regarding content, so who knows if this can actually happen...
As a spiritual successor to Castlevania, Bloodstained has massive potential for Easter Egg content. And it was this Easter Egg concept that inspired me to think in terms of an Easter Bunny to bring that kind of content to the game. What kind of Easter Eggs do you want to see? Maybe you're happy with the subtle nods and winks? Maybe you want to see your favorite weapon return? Or maybe your favorite boss monster? Maybe you want Dracula tied to the storyline somehow? All kinds of possibilities to think about...

I don't think an Easter bunny would fit the castle theme seems like a bit of a stretch... but who knows.
As for easter eggs in the game I am all for hidden rooms with items in them, maybe hidden rooms would contain user designed weapons and items? I have no special ties to any certain monster but I do agree there should be some more on the creepy side.

The evil Easter Bunny idea by itself sounds like a bit of a stretch. It's fun, but it feels too lighthearted for what I think Bloodstained will end up being.
I hope Bloodstained doesn't go overboard with easter eggs. They can be fun and I like discovering them, but having too many can take me out of the game since they'd be constantly reminding me of other things that exist instead of getting lost/immersed in the game's own world.
On a side note: I know there's a lot of fans who want to have easter eggs that make fun at Konami, but I don't think that's the right direction to go in. While people are frustrated with them and gave money to Bloodstained with the hope of sending a message, I think it'd be better to keep that drama out of Bloodstained and move on from it. Staying mad at Konami forever probably isn't a healthy thing to do. Clinging on to anger like that tends to look dumb in the long run.
EDIT: post originally said some different stuff and had a couple of videos, but was accidentally posted unfinished when I tried to delete some things. A brainfart may have been involved.

How does it not fit? SOTN and the other castlevanias all had some silly and cool additions in terms of enemies that pay tribute to something.
For example: Lion, Tin man, and scarecrow from SOTN. They MADE it fit the game so an evil Easter bunny could fit. I'd love if they took holiday characters and showed the evil versions. Demon Nicholas. demon Easter bunny. Etc

I don't know about the actual easter bunny but a were-bunny would be cool lol or maybe an enemy that looks like a cute bunny but when you get close to it it turns into a tiny, ravenous monster lol now for ester eggs it would be cool to have an item called "Dracula's Tunic" or some other item from castlevania games

The actual Easter bunny does not sound interesting to me. There are some bunnies that are really scary, though. For example, I loved the Frank the Rabbit in the movie Donnie Darko: villains.wikia.com/wiki/Frank_(Donnie_Darko)Silent Hill also features a rabbit character, Robbie, which is unsettling. silenthill.wikia.com/wiki/Robbie_the_RabbitAlso, it comes to mind how Anya from TV series Buffy the vampire slayer was afraid of bunnies. This is the comical song she sang about the evil bunnies:

But for me personally, I don't think the evil easter bunny would be consistent with what the Kickstarter campaign pitched or the type of horror Bloodstained might be going for. I think it'd stretch my disbelief a little bit too much.

I just dont see it. Igavanias typically have zany, silly, bizarre type enemies, and plenty of lighthearted enenies. Works perfectly

Silent Hill is a series that is serious as all get out and yet its easter eggs are generally super lighthearted.
I think it's a bit weird to claim that stuff like that would stretch your belief. That's the entire purpose of easter eggs: to be weird, silly, give you a laugh and/or remind you of previous things/games/series.

This is the comical song she sang about the evil bunnies: Well I imagine the Easter bunny wouldn't just be a cute little rabbit. Just like in SOTN the scarecrow wasn't the normal guy from wizard of oz it was a creepy scarecrow on some kind of jumping pole

Having some rare enemies be easter eggs is cool, you could have a fleaman styled bunny in the caverns that does massive damage and drops egg themed food and a grenade item, or an oversized crab that grunts, drops a knife, and it has a weak point you can hit and always crit
The jokes dont really need to be that obvious, but theres plenty of room in the castle for injokes, easter eggs, and puns that could be discovered in enemies, items, and the scenery

It's not like anyone is suggesting to turn the castle into a cute fluffy bunny house with enemies that are all bunnies, and a weapon made out of twizzlers.

I'm having a hard time figuring out an Easter Bunny reference that isn't either so obvious as to stick out like a sore thumb or so subtle as to be missed by most who come across it. Nothing saying it can't be done either way though - just has to be given a lot of thought. Though if one would have to lean of one extreme of the other the later would be better.

I mean there was a bunny with a stopwatch in Dawn? Is it that big of a deal to change it into some evil easter bunny? lol Im just not seeing the issue when these games always have absolutely zany enemies at times. I mean vacuum using demon maids aren't the most 'serious' idea around.

I'm not saying something like the thread subject can't be done to be clear. I'm only saying I'm personally having a hard time thinking up the best way to do it because of my mental image of the Easter Bunny. This is all a discussion taking place in which we lack a strong understanding of the actual world of this game and how everything in it will look. I think it becomes a lot easier to envision the best way to tackle this reference once we see a living, breathing game world since that will influence how you best want to incorporate such a reference.

My bad, it was Aria of Sorrow. Needless to say, I'm sure they could do some demonic easter bunny that has a more creepier design than this monopoly resembling bunny! However, most people forgot there was even a bunny to begin with so I don't see a problem! i agree that getting a sense of the locations and the castle will definitely help and see if something like it would fit well or not.

Personally I would like Bloodstained to distance itself as much as it reasonably can from the metroidvania Castlevanias. More specifically the references, enemies, weapons, and skills so no references in any of those from those titles. As for an Easter bunny though I think it can be a crystallized bunny that has a very vibrant color and its description, if descriptions will be a thing, can reference its similarity to a symbolic creature of fertility in western cultures.
As for my own Easter egg hopes I wouldn't mind seeing an enemy beat a whole into a door, peek it's head in "Here's Johnny" style, then entering the room in reference to The Shining by Stephen King.
