So when it comes to the physical copy I selected PS4 as my choice of console but honestly am still not sure if I want to get this game on the PS4 or Wii U. But I wonder if anyone knows if the Wii Classic Controller Pro will support this game. Not the Wii U Pro Controller just in case anyone gets confused.
Does anyone know?
I don't own any of the two consoles but I''l get one of the two in a few months for certain. I chose my Vita for the digital version that was a pretty easy choice.

I'm trying to find that out myself. I want Classic Controller/Pro support so I can use my Tekken Tag Tournament 2 fightsticks. I'm been trying to find out if Mighty No.9 will support the controller, too.

Id send armature an email since theyre the ones wholl port it, i imagine if pro controller doesnt require remapping, you just lose the pad extras, then pro will be in, classic or wiimote will most likely be out though due to less buttons

I've already sent Armature an email suggesting support for the Classic Controllers. By the way, the Classic Controllers have the same amount of buttons as the Pro Controller.

I hope you get a response. I sent Armature an email to the address mentioned on their site a couple of days ago, but haven't heard anything from them yet. Part of me has a feeling they're choosing not to say anything about Bloodstained right now since it's still early in development.

It's one of the annoyances that comes with the Wii U. If they a standard Wii U controller that was compatible with everything like the tablet controller things would have been much simpler. Even the Wii U Pro Controller isn't a solution since it isn't compatible with all games and not at all with oldies from the e shop.

I highly recommend Pro Controller support. It is the go-to controller for when you don't want to use the pad. The pad has its own merits as well, but it's not as if this game will be unplayable without a second screen.

My bad, completely missed the zl/r buttons, i always thought it was like a snes controller with sticks, i imagine then the issue would have to do with the way the controller attaches to the wiimote, it may require the wiimote to be implemented first and then the classic piggybacks off that module like the nunchuck since its a wiimote accessory, and im betting most devs dont want to have to spend time programming the wiimote side when theres the pro controller that accomplishes the same end goal

I've already decided on getting Bloodstained for the PS4...but now I'm thinking I want the Wii-U version too.
Do Gamecube controllers work with some Wii-U games? (I'm already planning on getting a Classic Controller)

supposedly the gc adapter nintendo put out only works with smash, they do however have a gc type controller that plugs into the wiimote that does work with games other than smash, i imagine its set up like a classic controller but i rarely use mine, so i havent really played around with it

They confirmed gamepad and pro controller which is all you really need. I guess it is possible they could add more but I don't really think its needed. I mean on the PS4 version I doubt they are going to go back and support PS2/PS3 controllers... its kind of redundant.

I assume you're talking about the Wii U Pro controller but it's nice to know it will be compatible. I still have conflicted feelings though. If only there was just a single controller that was compatible with all games like the PS consoles. I would like to exploit the e shop on the Wii U there are many great games there but then no matter what you have to buy the Wii Classic Pro Controller because the Wii U one won't be compatible with those games. The way I see it unless you're happy with the Wii U game pad you have to get two more controllers no matter what.

I have the gamepad and a regular pro controller, it's all I need really. So how comfortable are you playing e shop games with the gamepad if you do? It's cool if you already have them but in my case am debating whether it's worth to get the Wii U and two more controllers (the Wii Classic Pro controller and the Wii U Pro Controller) or just go the simple route and buy a PS4; the Dualschock 4 is amazing and all you need, I don't have to worry about anything else plus since there's such a high consumer base already it's likely gonna last longer and there will be more games to choose from. On the other hand the Wii U has some fantastic exclusive games that I really want to play but I can say the same for the PS4, backwards compatible with Wii games and both consoles have good online stores. I also have a feeling that Nintendo won't let the awesome games on the Wii U not get the credit they deserve and will be probably somehow make them available on their new console that's coming but that is just my instinct.

It's okay but generally speaking I play them on the TV with my pro controller. I don't use the gamepad that much unless its one of those off titles that require it and then its function is usually limited to that of being an interactive map. I think the battery in my gamepad has been dead for several months but I still log on and play alot of eshop titles with my pro controller. If you would rather have a PS4 then go for it, its got some good titles and the library is building. Personally I am more of a Nintendo/PC guy I play Pokemon, Mario, Zelda, Harvest Moon and I can pretty much get everything else on PC.

Am a Nintendo/Sony guy myself but thanks to various reasons growing up ( my dad) we went with the Play stations when it came to non portable consoles. I wanted to get a Game Cube back in the day and always wanted to get a Nintendo Console but it just never happened. Now am in a pretty big dilemma while I do want a Wii U for all its positives it's like Nintendo is trying hard with little things to make it hard for me to get one.

The Wii U pro controller works with about 90% of games and most of the time you don't have to worry about it, with the exception of games made for the original Wii. If it doesn't work then I use the gamepad, not as big a deal as it seems.
I think Mario Maker is the only Wii U game I own that requires gamepad usage. If you intend to play old Wii games you will need a wiimote + a wii classic controller. It's not that complicated really.

Thanks for the info by the way.
