with the confermation of Bayonetta getting into Smash Bros., I figure making a topic dedicated to her franchise is in order.
with two games, a movie, a pachislot game, and a web browser game, as well as making guest appearances in anarchy Reigns, The wonderful 101, and now smash Bros., our angel slaying witch sure does get around doesn't she?

Yeah she does. It's a really good franchise. I just wish that, maybe... Nintendo purchased the Devil May Cry license so they could let Platinum make the game that tie the two universes together? They're clearly taking place in the same setting, you can't even imagine my excitement when I found out that yes, Rodin accepts red orbs as currency with a fair exchange rate for halos.  Wait, there's a Bayonetta web browser game? |

Fantastic series. I saw the movie. It was a retelling of the first game, but much much worse. The animation and character designs in it...yikes. I tried out the second game at Comic-Con, but I have yet to own/play the 2nd game in more depth. I do not own a Wii U yet.  |

After seeing the Smash direct, I decided to pick up the Bayo bundle for Wii U. I've found it a bit a drudge to get through so far. I understand why it's considered a good game, I just haven't been enjoying it.

Both Bayonetta games are damn good, though I preferred 2 by a bit. I'm glad she got into Smash though I admit she wasn't who I was hoping for. Hopefully Bayo 2 sold well enough to get us a third game at some point. After seeing the Smash direct, I decided to pick up the Bayo bundle for Wii U. I've found it a bit a drudge to get through so far. I understand why it's considered a good game, I just haven't been enjoying it. Maybe those kind of games just aren't for you? I know I have a few genres that I can't stand regardless of quality. Though for what it's worth, I found Bayo 2 far more engaging than the original in most way. |

In Celebration of Bayonettas inclusion in Super Smash Bros. 4 Nintendo and Sega will be re-releasing new print copies of Bayonetta 2. Since her announcement for SSB4 her game has seen a boost in sales, however copies of the original print are limited so that is why they are releasing this new series of physical copies. However the re-release comes with a catch, it will not include a physical copy of Bayonetta 1. To make up for this instead of the original $59.99 price tag, this re-release of Bayonetta 2 will only be $29.99. |

The first game was that way (a drudge to get through) for me (especially the last half of the game) when I first played it a few years ago where as the second one was (for the most part) the exact opposite imo. |

Hideki Kamiya has gone on record stating that he was approached by the development team behind Project X Zone 2, the 3DS crossover game starring Capcom, Sega, NamcoBandai, and Nintendo characters. He was asked if he would be alright with the inclusion of Bayonetta in the game, though he was against the idea, on the grounds he wanted to be the one who would direct/create the game in which Bayonetta and Dante officially meet. Hes gone on record stating he regrets not including her since he now knows fans really wanted her inclusion. However recently in a poll on Twitter Hideki Kamiya asked fans which incarnation of Dante, from the Devil May Cry franchise, they would like to see interacting with Bayonetta. He asks if fans want to see his DMC1, DMC2, DMC3, or DMC4 incarnation meet with her ( I my self stated DMC2 in design, but DMC4 in personality). In response to this Hashimoto, the Director of Bayonetta 2, tweeted a response to Kamiya's, stating he would like it if Dante could appear in a possible Bayonetta 3. Given the fact that PlatinumGames have gone on record stating they want to make a Bayo3, and that they are considering keeping Bayonetta a Nintendo Exclusive franchise, as long as Capcom is willing to work out an arrangement with PG, Sega, and Nintendo, Dante could very well appear in the next mainstream Bayonetta game. What do y'all think? Would you like to see Dante appear in a Bayonetta game in the future? |

I really wouldn't mind if Dante makes in way into a Bayo game. It wouldn't be the first time Dante appeared in a non-DMC game. He actually appeared in Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne. Not as a cameo but as a legit character in that game. The only thing i'm dreading are the tidal waves of horrible Fanfiction that will ship Bayo and Dante together... to say nothing of the fanfics that already exists.

Happy 2 year anniversary announcements from PlatinumGames Official blog. Platinum Games for the 2 year anniversary of Bayonetta 2's release, have shown us a glimpse of the official SSB4 Bayonetta Amiibo, which they are apparently working on. Aside from that the developers thank the true devoted fans for supporting Bayonetta with her move to Nintendo consoles with the following message: They go on to reveal that aparrently that, just like Bayonetta, Bayonetta 2 has secrets you can unlock. By going to specific doors hidden in plane sight, and trying to access them and imputing a button code, you can use your halos to buy items that normally need to be unlocked through specific means. After two years its nice to see them finally releasing these secrets that not even were given to the official prima guides. Special Hidden Info hereAll you need to do is go to the doors shown here in the first couple of stages, and then use the stylus on your gamepad and knock on the door three times. if done correctly the camera pans directly infront of the door, and then you input the code provided. Just saw the posts about it...and while I'm not really against Bayonetta meeting Dante, I think it may end up feeling kind of odd or forced since it seems like that with two characters that strong and in similar god and huge demon-fighting scenarios, their two worlds would already have mention of/have continuity between each other. Something about The Eyes of the World, or at least Paradiso/Inferno and witches/sages in general would need to at least be "things" in Dante's world already, unless we're talking about some kind of silly dimension-traveling thing...which is why I personally might be against her being in a game like Project X Zone, lol. The plot of that game is so ridiculous that way. Every stage is "oh wow, no way, we're in another random 'dimension', how about that!" It's all in good fun, but I could see why a person that takes a character seriously might be against it.
It might possible if Bayonetta (or Dante?) were put to sleep again for a long period of time, perhaps even to the point that we're looking at a futuristic game? Bayonetta is more or less the same age/appearance wise, while we could have a more grizzled, but still full of himself "old Dante"? The passage of a lot of time might reconcile some of the huge missing lore pieces in each game's existing stories.

Kamiya is so damn bitter he'd just completely ruin the entire encounter, not to mention that he has absolutely nothing to do with chuuurazay Dante.
