FFVII. It's not just graphics. They're adding much more to the game. It will be multiple parts but that may be a good thing. The classic version is perfect. Why adding more to a perfect game? Sometimes adding is close to "ruin". They actually just can't not add more. Games have standards these days that games in the past did not. If we're being specific, what people want out of an FF7 remake is not angled top down camera, even if it does have gorgeous back drops. This means that they have to model out the entire area around the character, so that you can move your camera and not stare at the endless abyss. As such, the FF7 world will grow tremendously, and that big world, if filled with only what's in FF7, will feel tremendously empty. That's just what is needed by default, going from a 2D world to a 3D world. It's going to be a huge game by 1997 standards no matter what.

Makes you wonder what possible dlc they may cook up. I think 'what if?' scenarios would be cool. Alternate costumes are a safe bet (Advent Children Tifa costume please, don't care much for her original look). Other than that Horse Chocobo Armor

So much yes, we need to flood squeenix with requests for ng+, and having those 2 have a secret ng+ only questline to add them (or at least aerith, maybe hojo had a secret lab that contains sephy and aerith clones, part of her soul could inhabit one body and sephy is from the numbers project, and as you progress both bodies are slowly dying due to the process not being perfect, and after the final battle they are put to rest and then the world 'resets' through ng+) to your party would be awesome, itd give options for people who want classic, ng+, and ng+ with extra content
also, possible voices, yay

Makes you wonder what possible dlc they may cook up. I think 'what if?' scenarios would be cool. But what about weapons, magic or enemies? Other potential Weapons. Other reunion candidates that could be deep like Kadaj. Alternatively, how much of the Advent Children reunion candidates do you think might influence some of the Jenova spawn in the remake? They didn't play much of a robe outside Sephiroth but after Advent Children I think that part of the plot might be flushed out more. Or what roles, if any, Genesis or Weiss could potentially play...

well, they said there would be no new characters, so i dont think advent or crisis chars could be considered, but maybe zack could skirt that since he is in the original, just not playable, you do have sephy in your party for one section and aerith is a party member, so theyd be the most likely to be back in if anything, do like the idea of costumes, im actually really hoping they change the equipped weapons like they did in the original

Yeah I could see Zack potentially but I do feel it's a slight stretch. Maybe as another costume for Cloud. Just a Zack skin.

I follow this project carefully. That lack of ATB "line dance" was a total turn off for me as I don't like any action based battle system. That actually keeps me from playing any modern games anyway. I would love to have an option to play with some classic elements as some games in the past had an option to switch between the classic and the new version (I'm looking at you Monkey Island!).. Oh well, you can't compare a remake with less to none new elements to this massive in-depth storytelling which VII will offer.

Hmm. Sounds like we may be getting part 1 in 2017. I was kind of hoping it would be next year but maybe it's not as far along as I had imagined. Also underwater line battles are already a thing >.> remember FFX? While it will always be a silly concept it still looked nice.

That moment Rufus Shinra looks to cloud and extends his hand and says "Let's be friends and change the world" if he does not have the kira look from deathnote when he says this,I will be salty haha it be awesome if they did that
I'm actually hoping for one more secret character in the game,someone new yet tastefull since when you look at the end of the game you end up with 8 people vs sephiroth and I would like an even 3 people on each team,plus more people and more sidequests for them is always fun

Tifa is known for having a near useless Limit Break, but if we're given direct control over her, then it'll be a lot more viable as we'll probably get to control which enemies she attacks, or at least the ability to aim her direction. That, and martial artisting all the enemies is going to be real fun I bet.
I really wonder how all the characters will play or if certain characters will actually be playable at all.

the only problems i have with this right now is transferability and what parts of the story are being 'modernised', ff7 does have points in the game where some things become inaccessible and it does have portions that are very linear and it has a lot of standing around talking so the gnashing of teeth coming about hallway sim 7 where youre being pushed along and constantly sitting through cutscenes is more of taking a step to the side than back since those things were in 7, it just isnt anywhere near as obvious as xiii and if they can pull in some ffxv magic for the overworld then the game will be fine
if you can take your save file for 7-1 and copy everything over to 7-2 thats fine, i dont want to lose all my hard work and exploring for gear and levelling up materia and grinding for gold saucer stuff every time a new piece comes out and square needs to be aware of this, i dont want those to be sacrificed in the name of modernisation (tweaking things a little so it doesnt take hours upon hours to master materia or build up enough gp for omni is fine, but id rather keep an unpolished system that has charm than lose it altogether)

Ok so...I'm Thinking if that is the case then we would be Getting Crisis Core which made include perspectives from the Turks and Zack,Then we Get Final Fantasy 7 which is Clouds story,and then the last one will most likely be a Advent children game which might include dirge of cerebrus so Cloud and Vincent

That would be cool, especially if they intertwined before crisis and crisis core into peoples flashbacks, core could be told through cloud sephiroth aerith and reeve, and before could be told through vincent and yuffie, and as a little bonus they could include the original games as unlockables for finding all the flashback points scattered around the places they happened, dirge would have to be part of the epilogue though
