FINALLY!! Here are some notes:
"Adult Swim is excited to announce that JACK IS BACK. Creator and executive producer Genndy Tartakovsky continues the epic story of Samurai Jack with a new season that will premiere on Adult Swim’s Toonami block in 2016.
The new season is currently in production in Los Angeles at Cartoon Network Studios."

I almost shed a tear when I saw this news.
I really enjoyed the recent comic book reboot (though it has since ended).... it might not be the exact same w/ a new voice for Aku, but hopefully they can recapture a lot of that magic from the original series.

I fell over and jumped for joy!
Mako's student did a fine job for the latter parts of Avatar and Korra. I think he can pull off Aku.
Tartakovsky has not lost his magic. I have complete faith in this project....provided they remember what made it so great. I will tear it limb from limb if they mess it up, but I don't want to do that.

Good to know that Aku had a student, I didn't realize that. I'll have to pay attention to that when I get around to finally watching Korra... As long as they don't give the reigns of the stories to some of the teams that wrote the comics in the "Classics" compilations. Ugh. I don't disappoint easily, but most of those stories were absolute garbage. |

One of the most common questions about this show that people ask is THIS:
"Did Jack ever go back and time and destroy Aku in the show?"
It's painful to say no. PAINFUL. Cancelled before its time. There wasn't much relevant continuity, but it was there. Jumping good, the big blue guy guarding the portal, Aku's general disillusionment, that was what made later seasons compelling and especially funny.
I'm imagining that if this show is successful, we might see a conclusion to Sym-Bionic Titan.

I remember watching this show a lot back in the day. Though admittedly my memories of the Samurai Jack parody on Duck Dodgers sticks out far more vividly in my mind.
I still have a special fondness for how Aku reacted to the gangster mob.
"Who dares disturb the... oh, *bored expression* it is you."
A shame that Aku's voice actor has since passed from this world. Hopefully the new voice will do Aku justice.
I wonder if showing on Adult Swim will mean anything regarding themes and the level of violence.

Just popping in to say HELL YES!!!
Samurai Jack is one of may favorite cartoons ever. So glad it will actually have a chance to finish the story <3 Gonna be a bit awkward now that Mako (Aku's VA) is gone but perhaps the VA who replaced him in the Avatar series can come back again? I never found him as good as Mako himself though so I dunno if he can hit the highs of Mako's Aku performance.
