Hey, just in case the developers end up visiting the page, I thought we can discuss what features we'd love to appear in the game.
My personal choices:
1. Visual changes to character when equipping certain items. ( armor..) - this would be a dream 2. Button input Miriam spells. ( METAMORPHISIS comes to mind ) 3. Something equivalent to shields again. If she doesn't use shields then maybe what Leon had in Lament of Innocence, maybe you find different visual ones of those.. ( gauntlet?) 4. Transformations of some kind. 5. A secret castle of some sort ( like the inverted) 6. Many many subtle details like certain weapons being effected by certain items ( shield rod used with shields) 7. Different animations with certain swords.

"1. Visual changes to character when equipping certain items. ( armor..)" is something I would also love. "5. A secret castle of some sort ( like the inverted)" would be awesome "7. Different animations with certain swords." I would be disappointed if this wasn't in the game.
A. Maybe a storage system besides the one on Miriam? Like a chest or some sort of base area for Miriam where you could store extra stuff. (gotta collect all the weapons, am I right?) B. Areas that are outside. Like a courtyard, garden, or a graveyard in the middle of the castle. C. Rare enemies that have a very low chance of spawning, but high enough that every player should encounter them once a play through. D. Rare items that a very hard to find/have a very, very low chance of dropping, meaning players might not find them if they only play through once or are hasty. E. Some sort of underwater enemy/boss. (something that I would like personally) F. Maybe books or something you could find in the castle that would give some sort of info on the enemies and their individual weaknesses.

Here are a few things that I would love to see in the game:
1. Equipment appearance changes (of course!) 2 Some kind of curse meter, IE. if you use too many spells at once the curse begins to spread and saps your health or possibly makes the surrounding demons stronger 3. A Mirrored castle to fit the theme 4. Hidden bosses that are only accessible by having a certain item equipped in a certain place 5. Multiple weapon animations including shields 6. Elemental weapons! With unique animations (lightning whip, flame sword, etc...)
I'm sure I'll think of more later but that's it for now.

I'm really hoping for a vast array of different weapon types.
Swords, Knives, Axes, Hammers, Staves, Polearms, whips, bludgeoning weapons, bows, crossbows, firearms (musket, flintlock, blunderbuss), and maybe even wands/rods.

- Online co-op
- Classic menu style, for stats and equipment and the like
- Various creatures who "inhabit" the castle naturally, as if they live there, like the librarian and the guy on the boat.
- Various kinds of secrets that are hard to find naturally
- Uncertain if I want the Konami code to be in the game.
- New game +

I would like a feature where Miriam has her own room like how Iga wanted Alucard to have his own room. I suspect this will be in the game after watching the Double Fine Dev's Play YouTube video.

I would like:
-Ballroom -Fancy elegant athmosphere -Strong reference to various mythology, not only Lesser Key demons. -Classical bosses. -Abandoned manors. -Ghosts, haunted portraits. -Other world behind mirrors or else. -Alternate missions. -Encyclopedia. -Mnuscripts of the game's lore (like elder scrolls series)

I'm simple, just give me a good game. That being said:
Iga vamp as the bonus KS edition boss to get the whipsword. Armor based on the KS achievements (as a set it can Kickstart your stats)

I love the rotating room from Super Castlevania IV. I hope they do another one of those. There are other aspects from that game specifically that I hope shows up in Bloodstained.

I don't mean this in a "your wish is wrong" way, so don't take it like that, I just want to really specify what I like.
I frequently see people say how much they want a mirror castle or an inverse castle. When I played SOTN, I really was happy about the inverse castle because despite how far in the game I was, getting to the inverse castle basically meant "You still have more than half of the game to do, and the next half will be harder and more fun!"... That's about it for me. The whole being upside down thing wasn't really that cool to me, and re-using the same archetecture made the inverse castle lack some of the wonder of exploring it for the first time.
So basically, I want to NOT have an inverse/mirror castle, HOWEVER, I do NOT mean that in a way where the amount of castle to explore will be cut in half, I want this to be the biggest castle vania ever as promised without having to resort to a copy-paste-flip with the architecture (I realize that the monsters, treasure, decor, etc isn't copy paste, so don't mention it). I'd rather our biggest castlevania ever to be 100% new, not 50% new and then partially repeated. I hope I'm articulating well here.
Of course, it being bigger than any other castlevania by 25% or whatever and THEN flipped for another 125% making it 250% would be best! buuut, I wont get my hopes up lol.
My other wants:
1: Mod support on steam, if very hard isn't hard enough, making mods to make it harder would be cooler. Not to mention mods to modify the equipment. I like it when games have a great variety of equipment, but alot of the time there is no real choice that doesn't make the player intentionally weaken themselves (which is perfectly ok, I do it myself too sometimes), but it would be nice if you could choose what you want to use endgame without feeling like you are intentionally imposing a handicap on yourself if you just so happen to get crisigram or whatever it's called (I actually never use it cuz it's way too op, but I find in general, the variety of weapons and armor is really kind of wasted, alot of the stuff you get late game is obviously inferior to stuff you can't help but get long before them.
Maybe even make crazy mods featuring like 3-4 bosses at once for each boss =P
2: Meaningful currency. I love shopping in real life, and in games. But in games shopping is generally pretty pointless beyond early game. Once you get that initial gear setup, you can generally afford anything new for sale as long as it's available without even trying to farm gold or whatever except for special items and bonus items and whatnot like music boxes or that 1 item that's 10 million gold, etc.
3: I should have put this first...but alot of the stuff I want seems to be in already, and I'm mentioning it just to show that I'm most certainly positive about this even if the rest of my wants look unreasonable. Stuff like being mostly gothic castle setting instead of that jungle mayan desert nonsense in LoS. Music made by Yamane instead of I don't know who but it sounds like lord of the rings, not effing castlevania...When I qq about this people tell me I don't like lord of the rings music? What's wrong with me?! Well, lord of the rings music is not bad, and it suits the movie...but it most certainly isn't effing legendary.. Castlevania music IS legendary, its peers are Zun and Falcom/Ys...AND THATS IT. Nothing else compares IMO. Etrian odyssey is almost there but not quite. Oh...and stained glass windows are awsome. Castlevania always had more than most games, but I don't think it was ever really a feature. It being so now, I'm really excited about that!
4: I think this will be the case, but I want the castle to be designed in a way where you have a great variety of options in terms of travel/explore path.
5: I mentioned this in KS, but the only response I got was kinda not really what I was talking about but whatever. I would like the leveling system to involve player choice. So that when you level up, you can choose to invest 2 points in strength and one in int.. or 3 points in luck, etc. I think many people don't appreciate this very much because they don't really care and they just wanna get on with the action. The reason why I like this because IMO it adds replay value.. play the game spending 90% of your level ups in one stat, then try another the next game, etc, what's not to like about THAT?
6: I want the hard difficulties to be really hard, and I'm not a dark souls machoman bandwagon jumper... don't get me wrong, I love dark souls, and demons' souls, and I really want a ps4 for bloodborne. My point is that I don't suddenly think hard is good because of dark souls (I don't even think it's that hard anyway, and I don't mean that in a I'm so good way, just that other games with less hype that can be harder isn't recognized as such just cuz less hype). HOWEVER, I don't want the hard to be almost exclusively due to instant death pits/spikes/traps/terrain/lava/whatever + medusa heads and crows (though I will accept that for classic mode). I want the enemies themselves to be the difficulty, WITHOUT using terrain and traps as a crutch for how easy they themselves really may be. I want hard mode enemies to be smart and deadly, like the enemies in fortune summoners... hopefully other people have played that. The game itself isn't THAT hard imo, but the fact is all the difficulty is that the enemies are trying to kill you.. like an actual player is playing them, and they are really TRYING to kill you AND survive, like its' a darn multiplayer fighting game... not just run towards you and have a 20% chance of swinging their weapon every 0.2 seconds or whatever.
7: Gebel is the villain right? I think, If I got it wrong and that's the other good guy, I mean the villain... In any case, I want the villain to be as memorable as dracula, which is a tall order. So far looking at his picture and his story, he just isn't up to snuff yet. I'm hoping that will be his early story, and he will grow into a real respectable villain by the end... I Also want a villainous side-kick that is actually competant, and not comical relief like death...and I want these to remain as respectable for many games to come.. which leads to:
8: I want this game to be as good as I would expect any castlevania that isn't named lords of shadow to be (I actually ADORE the 2 3d castlevania games on the PS2 too btw), and I want it to be a new Francaise with many games to come afterwards.
bonus, 9: Then konami trying to cash in and make more castlevania games that try to rip this one off after (but still be different enough to enjoy) with all the things I like and not the things some moron thinks we want again simultaneously for DOUBLE the castlevania production would be fantastic! >=)

1. If you’re going to do inverted castle, please make it different from how you did it in SOTN. Don’t make the whole structure inverted. Maybe make some areas of the castle moveable clockwise and counterclockwise, like a huge gears. Depending on how this “gears” turned, player would be able to get in the different, previously not accessible areas, or maybe even get an edge in some battles, changing angles of the interior in order to beat some powerful opponents. Or make some of those areas move like huge elevator. Don’t make it the same way it was in SOTN, it was cool back then, but don’t repeat that.
2. Make more nudity. Sirens, shark-like mermaids, gorgons, harpies, gorgeous statues ect. Don’t deprive them of their nipples; it’s so silly when game devs do so.
3. You’re already about to build the biggest castle ever, but I would prefer the biggest number of enemies ever. There are lots of huge games these days that don’t have too many enemies to offer. IGA’s Castlevanias always had much to offer, don’t put the scale of the game in the way of variety.
4. Make some witty puzzles, much harder than you usually do, at least for accessing the areas that are not contain anything crucial for finishing the game.
5. Make Miriam swim in underwater levels (NOT RUN), it’ll turn underwater fights and exploration into completely different experience. You can even add an ability that’ll turn her into some kind of fantasy fighting fish or mermaid.

These are my hope for the game
1. equippable items for both hands 2. better uses for familiars (like using them to get to another area) 3. Costume changes for all three playable characters 4. transform into different forms 5. different summon animation for familiars 6. a LOT of DIFFERENT weapons 7. IGA AS A HIDDEN CHARACTER

I mostly wanted an online multiplayer mode similar to Harmony of Despair and the biggest possible castle. We already got biggest castle and the online challenge mode sounds pretty fun.
I'll be honest I don't know what I want lol.

To help build the atmosphere of the game, I would love to see a set of diary entries scattered throughout the castle. These would explain the background of the Alchemists and their goal, the origins of the curse and the leadup to Gebel's massacre. A lot of games have these old notes scattered in certain areas to build atmosphere, a good example being Cinnabar Mansion in the original Pokemon games. I think it would really help here, and really, it fits the tone perfectly.

1. Visual changes to character when equipping items. 2. Button input spells. 3. Transformations. 4. A secret castle. 5. Bestiary. 6. A spell Grimoire of some sort. 7. Item compendium. 8. Basically anything that reminds me of SotN. Edit: 9. And most importantly I want cute female monsters. ex: Alura Une, Harpy, Medusa, Succubus, etc.

I am not a fan of characters who's appearances change based on their armor. Because then you risk the chance at getting a piece of equipment with great stats, but is ugly as Sins Ass. One of the main reasons I don't like monster hunter.
I would much rather there be an alternate costume feature, that way you can change a characters appearance without your stats being changed, and you dont have to worry about mix-matched sets.
or possibly two armor slot options; an armor slot option that effects appearance, while the other is for armor stats.
I just want me some alternate costumes

Haven't seen it mentioned yet, and it's relatively "minor", but i'd like to see some solid weather effects. Rain falling? i want to hear it hitting the windows. Snow on the ground in an exterior part of the castle? give me some crunch under my boots. Sun shining? make sure the stain glass gets cast accurately as i'm running down the hall. Cloud passing over? make it realistic
i'd also like to see day/night transitions...
and i'd really like to see this play an active role in the castle. for example, secret rooms unlock depending on how the sun casts the stain glass into the room. This would need to be tied to actual hints, mind you, i don't want this to just be random "stand in every room for 8 hours and hope you find one with a secret". maybe the hint for the room is discovered in a book in one of the many libraries.

1. As other have said, a visual representation of what you're currently wearing. Aesthetics are always an extra incentive for me, I like to see myself get progressively cooler. 2. Some sort of hotbar, being able to tab spells/skills/potions/items would be exceedingly helpful. 3. A cool jump animation. I saw some early footage and it was sort of a half-hearted vertical jump (I know it's still pre-alpha). Give us a cool flip or something. 4. As someone else mentioned, transformations. Like Alucard, various forms with different applications. It adds depth. 5. Some puzzles, Castlevania has included these in the past but a few more couldn't hurt. I like to think. 6. A bestiary or something, I've been spoiled on monster information since my playthrough of The Witcher. Nothing fancy, just some sort of collective database providing us with insight into who we're killing. I don't expect it to have a list of weaknesses or vulnerabilities or anything like that. I'll think of more later, it's getting late and I have an early day tomorrow.
