Yes, Even that. Though, to be entirely fair... nothing is safe from pachislot machines in Japan. There's a certain allure for them, since they are a "morally grey area" and "technically" illegal in Japan according to the principle, let alone the roundabouts and circumvention willingly participated in by the owners of said establishments. There are workarounds, of course... and that's where the money comes from. In pachinko, when a player's ball makes it into a special hole to activate the slot machine and a jackpot is made, they are rewarded with more balls. Players can then exchange the balls for prizes of different value at a booth in the parlour. Money cannot be awarded at pachinko parlors as this would be in violation of the criminal code. However, players almost always exchange pachinko balls for special tokens, usually slits of gold encased in plastic, and then "sell" them at a neighboring shop for cash. Usually such shops are also owned by the parlor operators, but as long as the winners do not receive cash in the parlour, the law is not broken. It seems some people there like to "live dangerously", while being safe from reproach. I was more talking about this specific pachislot than another CV pachislot, since they can atleast can be classified as "good" for a pachislot, in fact I would like to try CV3 rendition. This token blackmarket is new to me, I thought that by negating money prizes it would be enough to stop this kind of act. Pachislots and their owners are working under the law, since what happens with their prizes or tokens aren't their matter. Sadly this law have holes in it and unless they fix it, people will continue to do that without even living dangerously since there is no danger for both parties. It is bad like that. I like the fact that you responded with a Phoenix animation sprite! xD But yeah. It's a big mess. That's why Konami's CEO is pushing so hard into the industry. He wants the legalization of casinos in Japan, so he can further expand his pachislot business, and further increase revenues. Konami's internal staff may well have plans to open a Konami Branded casino, but there's a lot stopping them. It's a mad gambit to say the least, but man... it's gotten to be a total train wreck over there, especially regarding these things. I'm all for pachislot titles, if they are good sound quality. After all, it is indeed true that vampire lore at its very nature, has ties to romanticism and dark erotica; but not all branches of said lore contain or require such a thing. As seen in the post I linked to above, Sammy did a great job with the Galaxy Express 999 plot for that machine, so there's little reason to think that Konami could fail to follow the same standards, should their desire to. That particular slot machine seems to be part of the growing dark and racy theme of Japan's "gambling" market. I can only hope it is a one and done offshoot.

Thanks, I couldn't let the chance slip, since I like Phoenix Wright games and played 1, 2 and 3 on Wii. It helped me in a hard time in my life and gave me courage to start reading my first VN without choices, Umineko no Naku Koro ni. I really would like to create a minigame-thread focused in mysteries like in these 2 series, but I didn't had a good idea yet of how to do it right and still be fun to everyone. I really wouldn't like to see Japan turning in Las Vegas, gambling only destroy people lifes when money is involved, they should avoid this. Like I said before, I would like to play this one: Maybe because I liked Dragon's Lair, that is basically a lot of random scenes apart from the beggining, the final boss and ending. While I dislike overuse of QTE in games, I think that if it is focused in QTE since the beggining it is ok, or maybe I liked the humor on it. If they ported these pachislot to cellphones I would be interested to try it, since it is basically a FMV game without ending and based on luck. Thinking about that, if they started to add a final boss and ending to pachislots, it could attract even more people to it.

This survey will determine what will be the next game to receive the pachinko treatment! (i mean, silent hill isn't in the list...)
I'm quite curious to see what will come from this survey...nothing would be my guess but i can only hope.

I brought up Shadow of Destiny/Memories in my survey, lol. I guess seeing those obscure franchises brought up was taking me back.
It's really interesting how little they seem to have advertised this, kind of for the sake of drawing the feedback of only the most passionate about it perhaps?

Thanks for posting this. I voiced my support for Castlevania, Gradius, Vandal Hearts, and Zone of the Enders.

I tried to be as polite as I could whilst simultaneously expressing my displeasure for their cancellation of P.T. and the folly of their movement towards mobile games.

Rumor has it that Konami is asking for our feedback on certain franchises. We do not have an official confirmation as of yet, and so I caution you to take this with a grain of salt. As the title says, Konami is asking your opinion on what you'd like to see done with their legacy franchises. Now is the time to protest to the mobile only approach in their own official form and polls. Classics like Contra, Castlevania, Bomberman, Parodius, Vandel Hearts, Suikoden, and Ganbare Goemon (Mystical Ninja: Goemon) are all on this list. It is likely they are gauging the future of their market, and the direction of these franchises. Interestingly, Metal Gear Solid did not make this list for discussion and feedback... I wonder why? Regardless... To stem the Pachinko machine madness, let us land upon them a mighty blow from the Army of the Night! mobilesurvey.blicx.com/?s=68d309812548887400e375eaa036d2f1&sysl=EN&slp=1Dammit it closed D: I wanted to see a revival of the castlevania series as well as some love for contra, gradius/parodius, and ganbare goemon (an extremely underrated platformer series set in a quirky parody of ancient japan....we barely got any games here. see also "Mystical Ninja") >w<
