Definitely would love to see more console and/or handheld versions of my favorite Konami IPs! I went ahead and voted for Suikoden, Castlevania, Goemon, Contra, Zone of the Enders, etc. Here's hoping it makes some kind of spark within the hallowed walls of Konami~

I filled out the survey as enthusiastically as I could, though I also said they should give Castlevania back to IGA! >

I hate that cross-platform option only includes "Desktop and Mobile"...

Konami is just wanting to know which one of their IPs fans want to see die in bloody hell.

for everyone wondering about the whole Desktop and Mobile thing it is for a very good reason, check steam and look at the final fantasy game ports minus 7 and 8. Do you know what they have in common? all were mobile games ported to pc, i can see konami doing the samething they will not change their habits unless they were going broke.

The main thing is that they need to try to repair their image a little bit. Fan loyalty is at an all time low.
I could see something like Bomberman working as a casual smartphone game, but not really any of the others.

its gonna be ports of old games before anything else, konami is cheap when it comes to non AAA titles. Why do you think castlevania games reused music and monsters granted i like that but it was always a save money plan.
I do not mind ports but i would rather have a castlevania collection with every game except the los garbage, if they want good money for less effort that is a good way to do so.

We've been asking for a Castlevania or Konami's Classics collection for years. I've just filled this survey because I couldn't let a chance escape, even if it was very but veeeeeeeeery slim. They seem to hear our thoughts only by obligation, almost never doing what we ask for in these last years.

They have done collections before hell even some in japan that we did not get but we did get a few in the US. My main issue is we never got a complete castlevania collection and chances are we won't, not unless i became the ceo which i would have a bunch of changes and bring konami back to glory in under ten years. Konami is scared of risk they are not like american entrepreneurs who take big risks some that even go all or nothing, if konami wants to changes its ways they need to get feedback like these surveys but they need to go further and try to connect with western gamers a bit too we spend more money on video games then the rest of the world. I am not rich by any means but if i see or hear about something i may want i will buy that product, all konami has to do is make it.

My priority is a CV Complete Collection but yet a Konami Collection would be welcome too. I knew about the first one and it was too old to even be counted, these from 360 are new to me and still are a joke. I mean a real collection and not... "that". Even Namco Museum had more games than that in each volume while still featuring a 3D hub world with nice curiosities and it was more than 10 years ago, for PSX Track & Field? Frogger? Really? While they aren't bad games that was the best choice that they could do? Where is Sunset Riders or Rocket Knight for example? They had a lot of better games than that to choose from.

it was a cheap collection put together from the xbox arcade games, like i said in my other post this is what you should expect from konami. They were so much better in the 80s and 90s but those are the times when japan was on top with videos games, as soon as western teams got on par, it was over for japan and that is why you will see more innovation and more risks taken with new ips in the west then when you compare to japan. Most of the indies from japan seek western gamers to fund their projects and its no wonder when companies in japan play it safe most of the time.
When it comes to konami they want to spend close to nothing put out a cheap port and profit, my expectations from konami are low but sega on the other hand will atleast throw money at stuff too bad they make some poor choices.

I took this opportunity to voice my love for Bomberman 64 and Zone of the Enders.
I think Contract could do well on Mobile, and possibly Gradius. I was honest in my answers and I did also say Castlevania and ZOE should be Console only. Though I did say Suikoden should be on PC since that's likely the only way I'll play it.

I have that too, and had much fun with it back then. I also have Bomberman Hero as well.

One day phones will be able to use context clues to determine if you meant Contract or Contra.

I'm honestly not sure how to feel about these sorts of feedback surveys. Part of me appreciates their honesty and willingness to hear a public opinion; while the other part disagrees with public opinion being the sole deciding factor in where a franchise goes.
As they say, "the loudest voices try to speak for the sum of the whole". Not every voice is a good one to hear from; and many more could care less about the finer details... so long as a product can be purchased that meets their approval.
Regional contributions are also another difficult matter altogether. This survey for example... it raises questions, like: "Will the results of this polling only apply to these franchises in European regions; or will these opinions be used to reflect general western appeal as a whole?" or "will these opinions be used to decide actual franchise marketing proceedings, or are these a general fact gathering pool?".
It's a risky gambit, and I'm not sure how far this scale will go; but any chance to keep such franchises alive (at least until good talent can attend to them) is worth it... Right?

[Snip] {DIE MONSTER!} Yes, Even that. Though, to be entirely fair... nothing is safe from pachislot machines in Japan. There's a certain allure for them, since they are a "morally grey area" and "technically" illegal in Japan according to the principle, let alone the roundabouts and circumvention willingly participated in by the owners of said establishments. There are workarounds, of course... and that's where the money comes from. In pachinko, when a player's ball makes it into a special hole to activate the slot machine and a jackpot is made, they are rewarded with more balls. Players can then exchange the balls for prizes of different value at a booth in the parlour. Money cannot be awarded at pachinko parlors as this would be in violation of the criminal code. However, players almost always exchange pachinko balls for special tokens, usually slits of gold encased in plastic, and then "sell" them at a neighboring shop for cash. Usually such shops are also owned by the parlor operators, but as long as the winners do not receive cash in the parlour, the law is not broken. It seems some people there like to "live dangerously", while being safe from reproach.

I was more talking about this specific pachislot than another CV pachislot, since they can atleast can be classified as "good" for a pachislot, in fact I would like to try CV3 rendition. This token blackmarket is new to me, I thought that by negating money prizes it would be enough to stop this kind of act. Pachislots and their owners are working under the law, since what happens with their prizes or tokens aren't their matter. Sadly this law have holes in it and unless they fix it, people will continue to do that without even living dangerously since there is no danger for both parties. It is bad like that.
