Heh, its from July 27, he is really lucky to get funded with all these big KS campaigns happening at the same time, congrats for that.

Im trying to stay cool and don't freak out now that I discovered that this guy is from the same country and state that I live. I think it is our first game-related KS and it suceeded, so epic.

I tried the demo just now. Platforming and the control, I couldn't really get used to. It all felt janky to me and the way you wall jump and how it felt was especially off. That also made it a bit of an issue to get through the levels on my end. I love the power ups. The wind and pole power ups being my favorites. The katana was alright, but that's if you want a super jump/slash. The surfboard made the final water level go by in a flash. The bosses were fun to fight, but they were no problem and I always got the feeling that I was fighting the same boss. It'll probably be different later.

The music...the first level theme I found the weakest. The second level's was a lot better and I appreciated the acoustic guitar. l absolutely adored the water level's theme. It was chill and had just the right instruments.

This game has a lot promise. I would love to play the final product and see what changed/improved. Those are a lot of stretch goals. I'm glad it got funded, but that combo system sounds interesting.

Freedom Planet... Planet Freedom?

But seriously, they're both heavily influenced by the Sonic the Hedgehog games, so of course there's going to be similarities.
