Could that happen? That would mean not allowing non-backers to access these forums, which in my opinion isn't really a good move. I would think the goal here is to have a huge and united community, not the opposite.
If it's the case though, I'll think of a solution.

Also I'd like to add that making an account only takes a few seconds. Name, Password, Email, Done.

The new shoutbox is growing on me, but there are things I'd like to bring up.

-I got restricted for 15 seconds, then 15 minutes for trying to say things like "Ohhhhh" and "K" when trying to clarify something because they were considered spam. Is there a way to disable this?
-Is it possible to change the color of the shoutbox to a shade purple that matches the default forum theme instead of blue?
-How can we prevent people from impersonating other people since the forums and chatango require separate accounts? If possible, can we get them to share the same database?
-Sometrimes when I try to scroll up in the chat, it scrolls up the entire webpage as well.
-Is it possible to somehow get some plugins to upgrade the proboards chatbox so it behaves more like the chatango one?

Let's hold onto what we have for now. I'd rather not have too much of a separate chat function. We can revsit it once our numbers grow further perhaps. But for now the Shoutbox serves our needs. Spread us out on too many sign-ins and we'll lose people's interests.

I came to post exactly about that, but it seems that someone beat me to it hours ago (thanks Goobsausage).
Disabling anon posting isn't enough, since someone could create a account before the original user and this would give major headaches for everyone.

Even so I like this idea of trying to improve our place.

Yeah, I think our shoutbox should be good for now
