I backed this rather obscure title 2 years ago and was starting to wonder if it was vaporware but it seems it is finally coming soon. It is seemingly still set for a 2017 release but since there are so many Metroidvania fans on these forums I figured I would go ahead and share this trailer.

The idea behind it is great, but I'm not too fond of the playable character design. It's just too plain.

Never heard of the game or its kickstarter campaign, but I'm interested now. The stop-motion elements look great. I hope they go well with the controls and they end up feeling like they match/feel good together and don't end looking or feeling clunky.

Aside from occasional Tim Burton films stop motion isn't used much anymore. It might not look as fluid as computer animation because its all hand crafted. |

Tim Burton movies look great because of the time and budget. I was thinking more along the lines of early Playstation or Xbox 360 indie titles. I hope the game's controls ends up feeling better than those. |

yeah, i can completely understand this game disappearing and taking a while to come out with any news and the long release date, stop motion is an insanely slow and meticulous process in film, and then you have to take that process and add the randomness of character control, if they pull this off its going to be beautiful

I quite like the alternate trailer. Gives it a sense of mystery and whimsy.
It looks nice and all, but at the end of the day how it plays is what I'll be looking at.
