Capcom actually has to create new assets for a change! (looking at you MH and REmake) That aside, yes yes yes! It's been a long time coming.. ^_^
I'd also like a RE3 remake at some point in the future, I really enjoyed that one and have fond memories of being scared to death when Nemesis busted out of nowhere, ready to make your day even worse 〒_〒

Capcom getting on the remake train I see. The years to follow should be pretty interesting for us gamers, even if half of the games are remakes. I'm kind of glad anyway, the games these past few years have been... not as fun to me, mostly.

Finally, people really need to beg for years before they do something  I really want to see if they will include some material or concepts from Resident Evil "1.5" on this remake, like William Birkin following you like Nemesis and screaming "Sherry!" or some Gorillas. Atleast fat zombies would be cool. |

I don't find it bad at all. Sure, you don't get that creativity in new IPs, but new gamers and 'core veterans' alike can enjoy old glories in the new platforms, like people who never played Journey on PS3 but loved it on PS4, or the overhyped I'm for the remake of Odin Sphere \o/ |

Although thinking about it a bit more, I wonder if that game even needs a remake, it was pretty excellent as it was. Also, concerning RE2 remake, I didn't check the link yet but how is the view going to be? Classic or shoulder view? |

Leon and Claire are my two favorite main RE characters. Ada is in it, too, and she's one of my favorite supporting characters...
I need to get around to doing the rest of Revelations 2. It's actually not bad at all. Just wish the PS4 release wasn't such a disaster.
edit: Regarding remakes/remasters, Capcom did release an internal presentation of sorts showing what they're going to be focusing on. There will be more of this, because it's what their fans do keep asking for. The newest entries in their longest-running franchies aside from SF have not been so well-received (RE6, DmC, Bionic Commando) and neither have new IPs (Deep Down, Dragon's Dogma), so why not do it? Even their more successful new entries in franchises are cheaper, old school styled entries (ReArmed, Strider).
So yeah, remakes/remasters, stuff like Strider/ReArmed and Street Fighter. Sounds good to me.

I never had the chance to play the RE games back then. I played through the RE1 remake and I had a great time with that. I am excited to try out the 2nd game through this remake and finally get to know what my friends speak so fondly of!
