Hello, Army of the Night! We have updated our Development Roadmap though the first quarter of 2021. The new schedule kicks off (likely) next week with the surprise release of Bloodless as a playable character and improvements to Randomizer.  When you compare the new Roadmap with the previous one, you’ll see that several modes are now planned for the first quarter of 2021. We are still expecting the Crossover Content and Classic Mode to launch in November for all platforms except for Switch, which will drop in December. This change gives us more development time on Chaos and Vs Modes. As always, the Roadmap is subject to change. We will always let the community know whenever the schedule adjusts. Due to the change in the Roadmap, we thought it would be a nice bonus for the community to release Bloodless as a playable character! We should point out that Bloodless is an additional playable character. She does not replace the “  ? playable character” that you see on the Roadmap.  Along with Bloodless, the next update includes a number of positive improvements for Randomizer. New behind-the-scenes ‘safety chests’ will ensure that items critical to completing a seed will be available. Additionally, the algorithm has been further updated to ensure generated seeds can be completed. That’s it for now. Thanks for playing Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night! |

This was never a 60$ game and it doesn't even have a season pass. Yet the devs and publisher treat it as a games-as-a-service thing and want to provide even more content no one expected. Igarashi and the team are madmen!  Also, i think the mobile ports are a fantastic idea! The game is great and considering the pathetic attempts of konami with their castlevanias, it will be yet another gesture of victory against them. Teams like yours prove why the indie devs are the real deal! |

Thanks for giving this pleasant surprise that let players can play Bloodless in main mode. It would be even more grateful if the game experience could be less glitch and Bloodless's skill could be completely reproduce/adjust appropriately of the boss version amap...

well How surprising! I still think you could have told us a tiiiiiny bit sooner, but who am I to complain? The game is great, even before all the added stuff, post release stuff is nice, and all is free too! Very amazing =D
But you could work a little bit on the communication with the community, BUT since Corona makes everything harder for everyone, I give you a pass on that!
And playable Bloodless is an amazing addition that you did not had to do, but you did it anway, and for that I tip my non existend Hat for you =D

Personally, I've never doubted the team's drive and integrity - the problem's been PR and Quality Assurance. Clearly, they're working on both (and I'm rooting for them). Not sure if they'll be able to clean up the glitchy-ness of the game in general, but if they've learned from this experience, it definitely bodes well for the sequel. |

Love Bloodless mode! This is what Zangetsu mode should've been like. With abilities and upgrades hidden throughout the castle rather than giving you everything right from the start. Also I'm convinced that they rebalanced many if not all enemies for this mode! Truly a breath of fresh air. The new starting location is a great choice too and makes the game play out differently right from the start.

Just completed my play-through with Bloodless and it was a lot of fun. Played on hard and almost all the bosses put up a good fight unlike in Zangetsu's mode where only the last 3 bosses put up a fight. Really enjoyed the design of her play through with progression by means of collecting abilities and how she plays in general. The newly recorded lines and cut scenes were a nice touch.
Looking forward to playing Classic Mode and the remaining content. Still hoping for a Julius mode for the character but even if it's only 1 character, if it plays as good as Bloodless mode I'll be a happy camper. |

I agree, I wasn't big on Zangetsu mode but this actually quite good. Very impressive for a bonus mode.

I'm really enjoying the surprise of Bloodless being a playable character in the main game. Saw the patch notes in GOG Galaxy when Bloodstained got a random update and it brightened my day to read what it offered. Its brought a new way of playing the game that is very fun. Game is actually fairly hard with Bloodless. Started on Hard Mode expecting to have an easy time as with my previous Miriam playthroughs and I was in for a rough and pleasant surprise.
Thank you for making her playable! Its fun to play Bloodstained again!

Is there an updated roadmap for 2022? Not at this time. Even should there eventually be one I think it would be just as cursed as the previous ones. One may be posted after this next update. |

Keep it chill guys.
Most focus goes on expanding the Bloodstained Universe and Legacy. The updates will come, but it will take time.
No worries though, the promise haven't been broken.
