If my controller becomes disconnected briefly, a message saying "Please connect the controller" appears on screen.
Whenever this message appears, no matter what I do from this point on, the game is hard locked, as nothing I do will make this message go away, and I cannot dismiss the message. I unplug my usb controller, replug it, press buttons - no matter what, the message is there and does not move.
I don't understand why this message appears in the first pace (perhaps my controller is old and has a loose connection), but a game that supports keyboard controls shouldn't hard lock once a controller is disconnected - it should instead revert to keyboard controls so I can keep playing.
I have lost progress because of this message. If I was only allowed to briefly play using keyboard to make my way to a save room, I would only have my controller issues to worry about, rather than my game progress too.
Can I please request a change to the game's behaviour regarding this controller message? Can the game please allow keyboard controls to take over when a controller is disconnected? Thank you.![]()
