I'm not going to lie,I'm one of those people who donates to a kickstarter after the minimal amount needed is met
I donated to Mighty Number 9 but was very hesitant to donate to the Red Ash kickstarter and after seeing how bad that turned out I am glad I waited
I always feel bad to people who turn to kickstarter hoping to get themselves off the ground and build something,but yeah there are many times when people overestimate the costs needed and how much people are willing to take an interest,You also gotta make your product look appealing as well as any stretch goals look like eyecandy
I remember this one kickstarter called Cult County that was well advertised and even mentioned by Comcept,the idea was sound...but the game was originally planned for a 3DS release then they wanted to move it to ps4 and no offence...for a horror game they showed off the most stupidest parts about the game I didn't care about like a day and night cycle or how the weather will move grass (I won't lie this bored me) rather then showing off ...you know the actual horror?Aka Monsters,Graphic Enviroments,Scary music etc...so in a case like that...yeah I blame the developers for showing off the most uninteresting aspects of the game and trying for a more higher console version rather then setting their sights small and within reason
