It's a really neat fighting game with a good tutorial, nice animation, it's getting updated with new characters that are free within the first few months they're available, and the soundtrack is great. I would also like to suggest Hatoful Boyfriend and the Ys games. |

the op not mentioning Ys to begin with is a sin beyond redemption! Everyone should play Ys! I suggest origins if it's your first time playing it. I like chronicles as well but I do NOT suggest that as your first game, it's different than all the others, so even if you do like it it doesn't really let you know if you would like the rest (though I don't see why anyone wouldn't).

Yeah...there's #Reload, which wasn't a bad game...10 years ago hahaha. Isuka is just really odd. The concept sounded fun initially, but it's kind of a mess. Boost Mode/doing your own Robo Ky was kinda neat. Not the worst game to enjoy casually, at least.
I'm also not sure that version of Skullgirls has the new stuff, but that much for the original isn't bad anyway.

Since you're buying a Steam key for Skullgirls, the game should be the latest available version (2nd Encore) with all the gameplay fixes and new content. New characters however, are downloadable for free for the first three months they're available and you'll have to purchase them if you don't get them during that time (there are currently two free characters). The game is a steal for $3.74. |
