Was replaying Curse of the moon, and I started to thought about what abilities and Items Zangetsu might get in his playthorough. Because I have no doubt that we will unlock stuff while playing as Zangetsu too, I don't think it will be like with Richter in Symphony, who has everything in his disposal from the get go.
So I expect to see pretty much all the stuff he does as a Boss to some degree in his playable version, but also some other things...
1. His Charge Slash from Curse of the moon! one of the biggest Attacks Zangetsu can do is, when you play ultimate mode, hold down the attack button and release for a big charge Slash! That was a hidden skill that you are not told about in the game!
2. A second Stance, maybe called something like "Banishing Blade". Zangetsu holds his Swords in his Sheath and draws it with his right Hand that has all the Ofuda Spells on it. This will be his "Light Elemental" Style. Zangetsu can change the Element of his Sword by switching through neutral, fire, Ice and Lightning. However we have not seen a "Light" or "Dark" Version of this buff yet. This Stance, that he also used by default in CotM, could be used for adding the Light Attribute to his attacks. Zangetsu holds his Blade with his left hand in this game, but since the right arm is full of Ofuda Spells, they could add a holy attribute to the blade if holded with the right hand. So with that original Iai Stance from CotM they could implement that.
3. Adding his "Dark Form" into the game. The Dark Form is what he gets after either the bad ending, or the first part of the good ending in Curse of the moon. In those Zangetsu fuses his prosthetic right Arm with his Sword and transform it into a scythe attached to his arm! They could add this Power as a temporary transformation, and use it to imbue his attacks with the "Dark" Element. This way, together with the second point, he would be able to use all elements that the game offer.
4. Gaining new abilitys and/or Sub Weapons from bosses! Nothing much to say here really =)
While I kinda doubt that those things will be in, I would like to think that after reading this it might get looked into by the staff =)
