I bought the game and have had lots of fun with it, but I was disappointed that there wasn't a story mode to it.
Also, I was SUPER disappointed that Nintendo failed to negotiate Simon Belmont into the game...

I bought the game and have had lots of fun with it, but I was disappointed that there wasn't a story mode to it. It doesnt even have a decent adventure mode. Like, SSB4 is so incomplete due to its lack of decent single player modes. Every mode in this game, sans home run and trophy rush, are just alterations to the standard multiplayer style game play. Its an okay game when your playing with friends, but when your by your self its an incredibly boring and repetitive game. and Sakurais reason for removing story mode is incredibly infantile. They cut it because Sakurai didn't like that people put the games cut-scenes on YouTube, thats why it was cut, so its cut-scenes couldnt be put online. I'm holding out they might release an adventure mode, or story mode, as DLC. but I doubt it at least the 3DS game has Smash Run. Also, I was SUPER disappointed that Nintendo failed to negotiate Simon Belmont into the game... Yeah, is a shame. but the way Konami has been acting recently, he likely would end up getting butchered due to Konami wanting Sakurai to design him a certain way, and him wanting to do it another way. Like how sakurai said in an interview that he wanted to do PAC-MAN in his classic design, and if he had to go with his new Ghostly Adventures Design, he wouldn't have put him in the game. |

Given the fact that simon Belmont is essentially the fact of Castlevania games, its more than likely he will get in the game. Julius is awesome, but hes only been in 3 games. simon has been in several different games, not to mention he was the star of the majority of the NES and SNES Castlevania titles released. Simon is to Castlevania/Konami, as Mega Man is to his own franchise and Capcom. also if Simon gets in, we get a pesudo Captain N reunion with Pit, Megaman, and Simon reuniting in the same game. |

Since Shovel Knight got an Amiibo recently, I think it would be safe to assume that he made it into the roster. (Either that, or in addition to Shovel Knight getting a Wii-U version, he's at least been made one of the Vote options) |

Here's to hoping that more than 1 character will make it in, like...Shantae too! Or Krystal...or Bayonetta. I my self voted for Bayonetta, after what Nintendo did to save her franchise from cancellation, I believe she more than deserves a spot on the roster. I would love to have Bayonetta's trailer involve Pit from Kid Icarus, if only because hes an angel, and she hunts angels in her main game series. I heard that there were 3 or 4 slots available for the new chars with the latest patch? I hope there's more than just one at least. To be fair, last time the game was data mined, there were only two spots. Now with this recent update, there are three. so we know for a fact that character spots can be added in anticipation for future character DLC. |
