I like most of the ideas submitted so far, but these stick out for me:
-Squeaky shoes (just like that Wimp Lo from Kung-Pow!) -Characters saying "blah blah blah" in cutscenes -Big head mode -Changing the weather -David Hayter saying something when the Konami Code is used -Alternate script with a nonsensical story -Confetti explosions or candy flying out when enemies get hit -Silent movie mode for cutscenes/character dialog -Gebil/Gerbil name swap -Poorly made sounds made with mouth noises -Breaking Bad mode where all the crystals are blue and the characters quote the show -Crumbling castle mode (objects falling, statues tipping over, floors eroding) -Classic Belmont and ice skating walking/jogging animations -Start the game at a random location -More Wolfjob! -Potty mouth (Miriam makes bleep noises when hit) -G-rated mode -Objects bounce around the room when hit like in Guacamelee -Lights off (short light radius, pitch black except for light from candles, fire effects, and an ongoing thunderstorm) -Scary mode (more feaky noises and enemies) -Impatient mode (Miriam explores the castle by herself and attempts to play the game when the player goes idle). Would love to see this in action on New Game+ mode. -Sarcastic/funny announcer
My suggestions:
-Outtake/blooper or intentionally bad acting mode for the game's dialog during the campaign. There was talk of this being added during the campaign. That'd be fun. -Occasional fart noises when jumping or dashing. -All the enemies (or, as many enemies as possible given their height/width) look like your playable character. Possibly change the skins on their 3D model to the player's, but they keep their own animations.

I'd like to see a knicker thief enemy/sprite! Some kind of really creepy dude who jumps out of a cupboard or something, mugs Miriam and quickly runs off with her knickers. He would be extremely difficult to catch since he'd be a terrific sprinter.

I'm just going to rattle off all the stock cheat codes, here. Walk Through Walls: Self explanatory. May lead to some game breaking bugs in such an open ended game, though. God Mode: You are impervious to all damage. May be named "Dracula Code" (as while it's silly to imagine that Missingno can be added to the game, Dracula is technically public domain). All Items: Self explanatory. Infinite Ammo: Self explanatory. Infinite Cash: Also self explanatory.

What about..DRACULA cheat code makes Dracula the extra boss of the game! It would be a major nod to Castlevania, but it would not be considered as a serious issue with Konami because it would only be implemented with a cheat code.

Funny:
Once you beat the game and the credits role, input a code so that Gebel, voiced by David Hayter doing his Snake voice, could gather all of his castle security and go "YOU'RE FIRED!" in a bonus end credits scene.

I don't know how possible it is to implement this within the game but I always enjoyed the "I would have been your daddy" skull in the Halo series. With such great voice talent such as David Hayter and Robert Belgrade I would love to be treated to alternate dialogue and cutscenes. Especially if this cheat is unlocked after the game is completed for the first time--it would be a fun reason to go back and enjoy the cutscenes of the game once again.

Why you do this with me? WHY?! Nice try: Do Konami code to hear Gebel or IGA laughing and saying "nice try". This would reveal a cheat that really works in the process too.

Chaos Mode: Random cheat codes/palette swaps/other shenanigans are either activated or deactivated every 30 or 60 seconds. Kinda like Super Mario 64/Legend of Zelda Chaos Edition. (either have it as a cheat code or an unlockable, maybe something entered from the title screen, so it's a separate save.) WHAT IS A MAN?: Replace every boss encounter's dialog with the player-character and said boss doing the famous opening conversation from Symphony of the Night. (assuming there is a dialog, otherwise it could be added in).
As for serious ones, an code to either temporarily or permanently hide the HUD. For those glorious screenshots, plus as a "blind mode" challenge. Also, perhaps a "retreat" code. Enter the code, and you'll warp back to the last save point you encountered. It would have some cost to use (such as gold, HP, MP, etc.) and could only be usable outside of combat (no chickening out here), but could be useful if you're miles from a save point and need to quit the game for whatever reason. Easiest similarity I can think of is either Abra's "Teleport" in Pokemon or Golden Sun's "warp to last sanctum." [Unless there are plans for an item/spell that will accomplish this]

I think they might give us special items codes for the clan codes.

Perhaps it's the American in me, but a good fart joke is always fun to throw in here and there.
Or change the story text and convos to be complete Bobobo Bo-bo Bo-bo type gibberish?

Helium mode: all actors have chipmunk voices Deep voice mode: everyone speaks in a very deep tone. Demonic voice mode: everyones voice is in g major unnecessary censorship mode: random words are bleeped out. bizarro mode: everyone talks in opposites, element strengths and weaknesses are reversed (fire is strong against water, dark is strong to holy, wood is strong against lightning), whole castle is mirrored. disco mode: background flashes a rainbow of colors while techno music blasts, miriam dances while standing still, enemies dance instead of attacking. old timey mode: everything is black and white with film grain effect, no sounds, only music (and the music is muffled... like its coming from a phonograph) 8-bit mode: everything, the characters, the backgrounds, the enemies, and the music, all look and sound like they were on an nes. the usual infinite health, magic, all weapons, unlock this and unlock that codes....
ooh and also.... for easy access cheats should be recorded somewhere to be put in again easily once used once.

I think in a game like Bloodstained, cheat codes are less necessary, and relics, equipment and other settings are more compelling.
Instead of tower of babel, they could have many foriegn enemies who speak in obscure or dead languages, authentically. Than upon replaying the game with a Rosetta stone or something, you could actually understand foes and dialogue with them. Maybe it's a feature of Johannes?
Instead of some trippy god mode, the could be some hidden powers which make the game super easy. I'm sure there are some features best utilized as cheats, and some things other people would rather enjoy, but if possible to implement them better as features within your playthrough rather than externally activated, I'd prefer the former.

All the standard overpowered ones I would want just for the heck of it.
as for comedic ones I am really horrible at coming up with those.
As long as they don't implement some stupid punishment for using them like blocking the player from being able to save their game (like lords of shadow 1, lords of shadow 2, and the HD port of DMC 3) and the codes that are there are good I'll be happy as a clam.
Though cheats to get certain particular weapons and items would be cool too. Just to see what crazy combos I could come up with. Plus that would be ultra handy for tests and experiments for boss strategies and whatnot.
