More specifically, an MMO without factions (like how in WoW you have to be either Alliance or Horde and they always hate and fight each other).
I read that Final Fantasy IV has a thing called grand companies, but the mechanics behind these are not clear to me. If they're not in constant warfare against each other then it might not matter so much. If an enlightened soul could elaborate on it for me I'd be ever so grateful.
I don't really know anything at all about Final Fantasy XI, for that matter. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
